WEB World English Bible (Classic, with Deuterocanon) 1 Then the Lord told Moses, “Go and see Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they can worship me. 1 ENTONCES Jehová dijo á Moisés: Entra á Faraón, y dile: Jehová ha dicho así: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirvan.
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh says, “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2 If you refuse to let them leave, I will send a plague of frogs all over your country.
2 If you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your borders with frogs.
3 They will swarm out of the Nile, and they will enter your palace and get into your bedroom and jump onto your bed. They will get into the houses of your officials and jump around your people—even into your ovens and breadmaking bowls.
3 The river will swarm with frogs, which will go up and come into your house, and into your bedroom, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs.
4 Frogs will jump all over you, your people, and all your officials.’” 4 Y las ranas subirán sobre ti, y sobre tu pueblo, y sobre todos tus siervos.
4 The frogs shall come up both on you, and on your people, and on all your servants.”’”
5 The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Hold out your walking stick in your hand over the rivers and canals and ponds, and make frogs spread over Egypt.’” 5 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Di á Aarón: Extiende tu mano con tu vara sobre los ríos, arroyos, y estanques, para que haga venir ranas sobre la tierra de Egipto.
5 Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.’”
6 So Aaron held out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and frogs came up and covered the land.
6 Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
7 But the Egyptian magicians did the same thing using their magic arts. They brought up frogs in Egypt.
7 The magicians did the same thing with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.
8 Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and pleaded with them, “Pray to the Lord, and ask him to take away the frogs from me and my people. Then I will let your people go so they can offer sacrifices to the Lord.” 8 Entonces Faraón llamó á Moisés y á Aarón, y díjoles: Orad á Jehová que quite las ranas de mí y de mi pueblo; y dejaré ir al pueblo, para que sacrifique á Jehová.
8 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, “Entreat Yahweh, that he take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to Yahweh.”
9 “You may have the honor of deciding when I'll pray for you, your officials, and your people that the frogs will be removed from you and your houses. They will remain only in the Nile.” 9 Y dijo Moisés á Faraón: Gloríate sobre mí: ¿cuándo oraré por ti, y por tus siervos, y por tu pueblo, para que las ranas sean quitadas de ti, y de tus casas, y que solamente se queden en el río?
9 Moses said to Pharaoh, “I give you the honor of setting the time that I should pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the river only.”
10 “Do it tomorrow,” Pharaoh replied. Moses said, “It will happen as you have requested so you will know that there is no one like the Lord our God. 10 Y él dijo: Mañana. Y [Moisés] respondió: Se hará conforme á tu palabra, para que conozcas que no hay como Jehová nuestro Dios:
10 Pharaoh said, “Tomorrow.” Moses said, “Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like Yahweh our God.
11 The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials and your people, and they will remain only in the Nile.” 11 Y las ranas se irán de ti, y de tus casas, y de tus siervos, y de tu pueblo, y solamente se quedarán en el río.
11 The frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people. They shall remain in the river only.”
12 Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, and Moses pleaded with the Lord about the frogs he had sent against Pharaoh.
12 Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried to Yahweh concerning the frogs which he had brought on Pharaoh.
13 The Lord did as Moses asked. The frogs in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields died.
13 Yahweh did according to the word of Moses, and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields.
14 The people collected them in pile upon pile, and the whole country smelled terrible.
14 They gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.
15 But when Pharaoh realized the plague had passed, he chose to become hard and stubborn again, and wouldn't listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had predicted.
15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken.
16 The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Pick up your walking stick and hit the dust of the ground. The dust will become gnats swarming all over Egypt.’” 16 Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: Di á Aarón: Extiende tu vara, y hiere el polvo de la tierra, para que se vuelva piojos por todo el país de Egipto.
16 Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the earth, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.’”
17 They did what the Lord said. When Aaron lifted up his walking stick and hit the dust of the earth, gnats swarmed over both people and animals. The dust in the whole of Egypt turned into gnats.
17 They did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and struck the dust of the earth, and there were lice on man, and on animal; all the dust of the earth became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
18 The magicians also tried to make gnats using their magic arts, but they couldn't. The gnats stayed on both people and animals.
18 The magicians tried with their enchantments to produce lice, but they couldn’t. There were lice on man, and on animal.
19 “This is an act of God,” the magicians told Pharaoh. But Pharaoh chose to be stubbornly hard-hearted, and he wouldn't listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had predicted.
19 Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is God’s finger;” but Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken.
20 The Lord told Moses, “Tomorrow morning get up early and block Pharaoh's way as he walks down to the river. Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they can worship me. 20 Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Levántate de mañana y ponte delante de Faraón, he aquí él sale á las aguas; y dile: Jehová ha dicho así: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirva.
20 Yahweh said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; behold, he comes out to the water; and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh says, “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
21 If you don't let my people leave, I will send swarms of flies on you and your officials, and on your people and your houses. Every Egyptian house and even the ground on which they stand will be filled with swarms of flies.
21 Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants, and on your people, and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground they are on.
22 However, on this occasion I will treat the land of Goshen differently—that's where my people live—there won't be any swarms of flies there. This is how you will know that I, the Lord, am here in your country.
22 I will set apart in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, to the end you may know that I am Yahweh on the earth.
23 I will distinguish my people from your people. You will see this sign that confirms it tomorrow.’” 23 Y yo pondré redención entre mi pueblo y el tuyo. Mañana será esta señal.
23 I will put a division between my people and your people. This sign shall happen by tomorrow.”’”
24 The Lord did what he had said. Huge swarms of flies swept into Pharaoh's palace and into the houses of his officials. The whole of Egypt was devastated because of these swarms of flies.
24 Yahweh did so; and there came grievous swarms of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants’ houses. In all the land of Egypt the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of flies.
25 Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and told them, “Go and offer sacrifices to your God here in this country.” 25 Entonces Faraón llamó á Moisés y á Aarón, y díjoles: Andad, sacrificad á vuestro Dios en la tierra.
25 Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God in the land!”
26 “No, that wouldn't be the right thing to do,” Moses replied. “The sacrifices we offer to the Lord our God would be offensive to Egyptians. If we went ahead and offered sacrifices offensive to Egyptians, they'd stone us! 26 Y Moisés respondió: No conviene que hagamos así, porque sacrificaríamos á Jehová nuestro Dios la abominación de los Egipcios. He aquí, si sacrificáramos la abominación de los Egipcios delante de ellos, ¿no nos apedrearían?
26 Moses said, “It isn’t appropriate to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to Yahweh our God. Behold, if we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, won’t they stone us?
27 We must make a three-day journey into the wilderness and offer sacrifices there to the Lord our God as he has told us.” 27 Camino de tres días iremos por el desierto, y sacrificaremos á Jehová nuestro Dios, como él nos dirá.
27 We will go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Yahweh our God, as he shall command us.”
28 “I'll let you go and offer sacrifices to the Lord your God in the desert, but don't go very far,” Pharaoh answered. “Now pray for me that this plague ends.” 28 Y dijo Faraón: Yo os dejaré ir para que sacrifiquéis á Jehová vuestro Dios en el desierto, con tal que no vayáis más lejos: orad por mí.
28 Pharaoh said, “I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to Yahweh your God in the wilderness, only you shall not go very far away. Pray for me.”
29 “As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the Lord,” Moses replied, “and tomorrow the flies will leave Pharaoh and his officials and his people. But Pharaoh should be sure not to be deceitful again and refuse to let the people go and offer sacrifices to the Lord.” 29 Y respondió Moisés: He aquí, en saliendo yo de contigo, rogaré á Jehová que las diversas suertes de moscas se vayan de Faraón, y de sus siervos, y de su pueblo mañana; con tal que Faraón no falte más, no dejando ir al pueblo á sacrificar á Jehová.
29 Moses said, “Behold, I am going out from you. I will pray to Yahweh that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow; only don’t let Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Yahweh.”
30 Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord, 30 Entonces Moisés salió de con Faraón, y oró á Jehová.
30 Moses went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to Yahweh.
31 and the Lord did as Moses asked, and removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh and his officials and his people. Not a single fly remained.
31 Yahweh did according to the word of Moses, and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. There remained not one.
32 But once again Pharaoh chose to be stubbornly hard-hearted and would not let the people leave.
32 Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and he didn’t let the people go.
