32 And they said to one another, “Was our heart not burning within us as He was speaking to us in the way, and as He was opening the Writings up to us?” 32 They said to one another, “Weren’t our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?”
32 καὶ εἶπον πρὸς ἀλλήλους· οὐχὶ ἡ καρδία ἡμῶν καιομένη ἦν ἐν ἡμῖν, ὡς ἐλάλει ἡμῖν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ καὶ ὡς διήνοιγεν ἡμῖν τὰς γραφάς;
33 And they, having risen up the same hour, turned back to Jerusalem, and found the Eleven gathered together, and those with them, 33 They rose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,
34 saying, “The Lord was indeed raised, and was seen by Simon”; 34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”

40 And having said this, He showed the hands and the feet to them, 40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 and while they are not believing from the joy, and wondering, He said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 41 While they still didn’t believe for joy, and wondered, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

42 And they gave to Him part of a broiled fish, and of a honeycomb, 42 They gave him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.
43 and having taken, He ate before them, 43 He took them, and ate in front of them.
44 and He said to them, “These [are] the words that I spoke to you, being yet with you, that it is necessary to be fulfilled all the things that are written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, about Me.” 44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms concerning me must be fulfilled.”
45 Then He opened up their understanding to understand the Writings, 45 Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures.
46 and He said to them, “Thus it has been written, and thus it was necessary [for] the Christ to suffer, and to rise out of the dead [on] the third day, 46 He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

50 And He led them forth outside—to Bethany, and having lifted up His hands He blessed them, 50 He led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
51 and it came to pass, in His blessing them, He was parted from them, and was carried up into Heaven; 51 While he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.
52 and they, having worshiped Him, turned back to Jerusalem with great joy, 52 They worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
