Día 4 · Anger & Patience
Patience as a Gift of the Spirit (en inglés)
Por ahora, los textos de estas oraciones están en inglés. Solo publicamos en español las oraciones cuya traducción podemos verificar en una fuente ortodoxa publicada o en la Reina-Valera 1909.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”Galatians 5:22-23
Reflexión (en inglés)
Patience is named as fruit of the Spirit, not the product of clenched teeth and sheer willpower. Fruit grows quietly, over time, as it stays connected to its source. We are not asked to manufacture patience on our own, but to remain near to God and let his Spirit cultivate it within us.
Una oración (en inglés)
Holy Spirit, I cannot grow patience on my own, and I grow weary of trying. Thank you that patience is your gift, ripening in me as I stay close to you. Grow this fruit in me gently, even in the places where I feel most impatient and worn. Keep me rooted in your presence today. Amen.
Llévalo contigo (en inglés)
What would it look like to invite God into one situation today rather than trying to muster patience by yourself?
