Reflexión (en inglés)
Malachi promised that the sun of righteousness would rise “with healing in its wings.” The Church took this name for Christ into the heart of the feast. The troparion of the Nativity, which we will pray on Christmas Eve, says that those who worshipped the stars were taught by a star to adore Christ, “the Sun of Righteousness.” The winter is dark, but the sun is about to rise. Let its light reach the places where you most need healing.

Christ, Sun of Righteousness, rise on me with healing in your wings. Warm what has grown cold in me, and give me the joy of calves let out of the stall, the joy of someone set free. Amen.
