“The Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.”Genesis 2:15
Reflexión (en inglés)
Long before work ever felt like a burden, it was a gift. In the opening pages of Scripture, God places the human being in a garden not to sit idle but to tend and care for it, sharing in His own creative labor. Whatever your work may be, it can become a continuation of that ancient calling to cultivate and keep what God has entrusted to you.
Una oración (en inglés)
Heavenly Father, thank You that work began as a good gift from Your hands and not as a punishment. Help me to see the tasks before me today as a small share in Your ongoing care for the world. Where I have grown weary or cynical, renew in me a sense of purpose and gladness. Teach me to tend faithfully whatever You have placed in my hands. Amen.
Llévalo contigo (en inglés)
What part of my daily work could I begin to see as tending something God has entrusted to me?
