1 And the borders of the tribe of Juda according to their families were from the borders of Idumea from the wilderness of Sin, as far as Cades southward.

1 Y FUÉ la suerte de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, por sus familias, junto al término de Edom, del desierto de Zin al mediodía, al lado del sur.

2 And their borders were from the south as far as a part of the salt sea from the high country that extends southward.

2 Y su término de la parte del mediodía fué desde la costa del mar Salado, desde la lengua que mira hacia el mediodía;

3 And they proceed before the ascent of Acrabin, and go out round Sena, and go up from the south to Cades Barne; and go out to Asoron, and proceed up to Sarada, and go out by the way that is west of Cades.

3 Y salía hacia el mediodía á la subida de Acrabim, pasando hasta Zin; y subiendo por el mediodía hasta Cades-barnea, pasaba á Hebrón, y subiendo por Addar daba vuelta á Carca;

4 And they go out to Selmona, and issue at the valley of Egypt; and the termination of its boundaries shall be at the sea: these are their boundaries southward.

4 De allí pasaba á Azmón, y salía al arroyo de Egipto; y sale este término al occidente. Este pues os será el término del mediodía.

5 And their boundaries eastward [are] all the salt sea as far as Jordan; and their borders from the north, and from the border of the sea, and from part of Jordan—

5 El término del oriente es el mar Salado hasta el fin del Jordán. Y el término de la parte del norte, desde la lengua del mar, desde el fin del Jordán:

6 the borders go up to Bæthaglaam, and they go along from the north to Bætharaba, and the borders go on up to the stone of Bæon the son of Ruben.

6 Y sube este término por Beth-hogla, y pasa del norte á Beth-araba, y de aquí sube este término á la piedra de Bohán, hijo de Rubén.

7 And the borders continue on to the fourth part of the valley of Achor, and go down to Galgal, which is before the approach of Adammin, which is southward in the valley, and terminate at the water of the fountain of the sun; and their going forth shall be the fountain of Rogel.

7 Y torna á subir este término á Debir desde el valle de Achôr: y al norte mira sobre Gilgal, que está delante de la subida de Adumin, la cual está al mediodía del arroyo: y pasa este término á las aguas de En-semes, y sale á la fuente de Rogel:

8 And the borders go up to the valley of Ennom, behind Jebus southward; this is Jerusalem: and the borders terminate at the top of the mountain, which is before the valley of Ennom toward the sea, which is by the side of the land of Raphain northward.

8 Y sube este término por el valle del hijo de Hinnom al lado del Jebuseo al mediodía: esta es Jerusalem. Luego sube este término por la cumbre del monte que está delante del valle de Hinnom hacia el occidente, el cual está al cabo del valle de los gigantes al norte:

9 And the border [going forth] from the top of the mountain terminates at the fountain of the water of Naphtho, and terminates at mount Ephron; and the border will lead to Baal; this is the city of Jarim.

9 Y rodea este término desde la cumbre del monte hasta la fuente de las aguas de Nephtoa, y sale á la ciudades del monte de Ephrón, rodeando luego el mismo término á Baala, la cual es Chîriath-jearim.

10 And the border will go round from Baal to the sea, and will go on to the mount of Assar behind the city of Jarin northwards; this is Chaslon: and it will come down to the city of the Sun, and will go on to the south.

10 Después torna este término desde Baala hacia el occidente al monte de Seir: y pasa al lado del monte de Jearim hacia el norte, esta es Chesalón, y desciende á Beth-semes, y pasa á Timna.

11 And the border terminates behind Accaron northward, and the borders will terminate at Socchoth, and the borders will go on to the south, and will terminate at Lebna, and the issue of the borders will be at the sea; and their borders [shall be] toward the sea, the great sea shall be the boundary.

11 Sale luego este término al lado de Ecrón hacia el norte; y rodea el mismo término á Sichêron, y pasa por el monte de Baala, y sale á Jabneel: y sale este término á la mar.

12 These [are] the borders of the children of Juda round about according to their families.

12 El término del occidente es la mar grande. Este pues, es el término de los hijos de Judá en derredor, por sus familias.

13 And to Chaleb the son of Jephone he gave a portion in the midst of the children of Juda by the command of God; and Joshua gave him the city of Arboc the metropolis of Enac; this is Chebron.

13 Mas á Caleb, hijo de Jephone, dió parte entre los hijos de Judá, conforme al mandamiento de Jehová á Josué: [esto es], á Chîriath-arba, del padre de Anac, que es Hebrón.

14 And Chaleb the son of Jephone destroyed thence the three sons of Enac, Susi, and Tholami, and Achima.

14 Y Caleb echó de allí tres hijos de Anac, á Sesai, Aiman, y Talmai, hijos de Anac.

15 And Chaleb went up thence to the inhabitants of Dabir; and the name of Dabir before was the city of Letters.

15 De aquí subió á los que moraban en Debir: y el nombre de Debir era antes Chîriath-sepher.

16 And Chaleb said, Whosoever shall take and destroy the city of Letters, and master it, to him will I give my daughter Ascha to wife.

16 Y dijo Caleb: Al que hiriere á Chîriath-sepher, y la tomare, yo le daré á mi hija Axa por mujer.

17 And Gothoniel the son of Chenez the brother of Chaleb took it; and he gave him Ascha his daughter to wife.

17 Y tomóla Othoniel, hijo de Cenez, hermano de Caleb; y él le dió por mujer á su hija Axa.

18 And it came to pass as she went out that she counselled him, saying, I will ask of my father a field; and she cried from off her ass; and Chaleb said to her, What is it?

18 Y aconteció que cuando la llevaba, él la persuadió que pidiese á su padre tierras para labrar. Ella entonces se apeó del asno. Y Caleb le dijo: ¿Qué tienes?

19 And she said to him, Give me a blessing, for thou hast set me in the land of Nageb; give me Botthanis: and he gave her Gonæthla the upper, and Gonæthla the lower.

19 Y ella respondió: Dame bendición: pues que me has dado tierra de secadal, dame también fuentes de aguas. El entonces le dió las fuentes de arriba, y las de abajo.

20 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Juda.

20 Esta pues es la herencia de la tribu de los hijos de Judá por sus familias.

21 And their cities were cities belonging to the tribe of the children of Juda on the borders of Edom by the wilderness, and Bæseleel, and Ara, and Asor,

21 Y fueron las ciudades del término de la tribu de los hijos de Judá hacia el término de Edom al mediodía: Cabseel, y Eder, y Jagur,

22 and Icam, and Regma, and Aruel,

22 Y Cina, y Dimona, y Adada,

23 and Cades, and Asorionain, and Mænam,

23 Y Cedes, y Asor, é Itnán,

24 and Balmænan, and their villages,

24 Ziph, y Telem, y Bealoth,

25 and the cities of Aseron, this [is] Asor,

25 Y Asor-hadatta, y Chêrioth-hesron, que es Asor,

26 and Sen, and Salmaa, and Molada,

46 from Accaron, Gemna, and all the cities that are near Asedoth; and their villages.

46 Desde Ecrón hasta la mar, todas las que están á la costa de Asdod con sus aldeas.

47 Asiedoth, and her villages, and her hamlets; Gaza, and its villages and its hamlets as far as the river of Egypt, and the great sea is the boundary.

47 Asdod con sus villas y sus aldeas: Gaza con sus villas y sus aldeas hasta el río de Egipto, y la gran mar con sus términos.

48 And in the hill country Samir, and Jether, and Socha,

48 Y en las montañas, Samir, y Jattir, y Succoth,

49 and Renna and the city of Letters, this [is] Dabir;

49 Y Danna, y Chîriath-sanna, que es Debir,

50 and Anon, and Es, and Man, and Æsam,

50 Y Anab, y Estemo, y Anim,

51 and Gosom, and Chalu, and Channa, and Gelom: eleven cities, and their villages;

51 Y Gosén, y Olón, y Gilo; once ciudades con sus aldeas.

52 Ærem, and Remna, and Soma,

60 Cariathbaal, this [is] the city of Jarim, and Sotheba: two cities, and their villages:

60 Chîriath-baal, que es Chîriath-jearim, y Rabba; dos ciudades con sus aldeas.

61 and Baddargeis, and Tharabaam, and Ænon;

61 En el desierto, Beth-araba, Middín, y Sechâchâ,

62 and Æochioza, and Naphlazon, and the cities of Sadon, and Ancades; seven cities, and their villages.

62 Y Nibsan, y la ciudad de la sal, y Engedi; seis ciudades con sus aldeas.

63 And the Jebusite dwelt in Jerusalem, and the children of Juda could not destroy them; and the Jebusites dwelt in Jerusalem to this day.

63 Mas á los Jebuseos que habitaban en Jerusalem, los hijos de Judá no los pudieron desarraigar; antes quedó el Jebuseo en Jerusalem con los hijos de Judá, hasta hoy.
