WEB World English Bible (Classic, with Deuterocanon) 1 Moses told the tribal leaders of Israel, “This is what the Lord commands: 1 Y MOISÉS dijo á los hijos de Israel, conforme á todo lo que Jehová le había mandado.
1 Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded.
2 If a man makes a solemn promise to the Lord, or pledges to do something by swearing an oath, he must not break his promise. He must do everything he said he would.
2 When a man vows a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
3 If a woman who's young and still living in her father's house makes a solemn promise to the Lord or pledges to do something by swearing an oath 3 Cuando alguno hiciere voto á Jehová, ó hiciere juramento ligando su alma con obligación, no violará su palabra: hará conforme á todo lo que salió de su boca.
3 “Also, when a woman vows a vow to Yahweh and binds herself by a pledge, being in her father’s house, in her youth,
4 and her father finds out about her promise or pledge but doesn't say anything to her, all the promises or pledges she has sworn to do will stand. 4 Mas la mujer, cuando hiciere voto á Jehová, y se ligare con obligación en casa de su padre, en su mocedad;
4 and her father hears her vow and her pledge with which she has bound her soul, and her father says nothing to her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge with which she has bound her soul shall stand.
5 But if her father disallows them as soon as he finds out, then none of her promises or pledges remain valid. The Lord will release her from keeping them because her father has disallowed them.
5 But if her father forbids her in the day that he hears, none of her vows or of her pledges with which she has bound her soul, shall stand. Yahweh will forgive her, because her father has forbidden her.
6 If a woman marries after having made a solemn promise or sworn an oath without thinking 6 Mas si su padre le vedare el día que oyere todos sus votos y sus obligaciones, con que ella hubiere ligado su alma, no serán firmes; y Jehová la perdonará, por cuanto su padre le vedó.
6 “If she has a husband, while her vows are on her, or the rash utterance of her lips with which she has bound her soul,
7 and her husband finds out about it but doesn't say anything to her right away, all the promises or pledges she has sworn to do will stand. 7 Empero si fuere casada, é hiciere votos, ó pronunciare de sus labios cosa con que obligue su alma;
7 and her husband hears it, and says nothing to her in the day that he hears it; then her vows shall stand, and her pledges with which she has bound her soul shall stand.
8 But if her husband disallows them when he finds out about it, then none of her promises or oaths remain valid and the Lord will release her from keeping them.
8 But if her husband forbids her in the day that he hears it, then he makes void her vow which is on her and the rash utterance of her lips, with which she has bound her soul. Yahweh will forgive her.
9 Every solemn promise made by a widow or a woman who is divorced must be kept.
9 “But the vow of a widow, or of her who is divorced, everything with which she has bound her soul shall stand against her.
10 If a woman living with her husband makes a solemn promise to the Lord or pledges to do something by swearing an oath, 10 Mas todo voto de viuda, ó repudiada, con que ligare su alma, será firme.
10 “If she vowed in her husband’s house or bound her soul by a bond with an oath,
11 and her husband finds out about her promise or pledge but doesn't say anything to her and doesn't disallow them, then all of her promises or pledges remain valid.
11 and her husband heard it, and held his peace at her and didn’t disallow her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge with which she bound her soul shall stand.
12 But if her husband disallows them as soon as he finds out about it, then none of her promises or oaths remain valid. The Lord will release her from keeping them because her husband has disallowed them.
12 But if her husband made them null and void in the day that he heard them, then whatever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand. Her husband has made them void. Yahweh will forgive her.
13 Her husband may also confirm or disallow any solemn promise or pledge the woman may make for self-denial.
13 Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
14 But if her husband doesn't ever say a word to her about it, then he is assumed to have confirmed all the solemn promises and pledges she has made.
14 But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows or all her pledges which are on her. He has established them, because he said nothing to her in the day that he heard them.
15 However, if he disallows them some time later after finding out about them, then he will bear the responsibility for her breaking them.” 15 Empero si su marido callare á ello de día en día, entonces confirmó todos sus votos, y todas las obligaciones que están sobre ella: confirmólas, por cuanto calló á ello el día que lo oyó.
15 But if he makes them null and void after he has heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity.”
16 These are the regulations that the Lord gave to Moses regarding the relationship between a man and his wife, and between a father and a daughter who is young and still living at home.
16 These are the statutes which Yahweh commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, being in her youth, in her father’s house.
