Tyndale Tyndale New Testament (1534) WEB World English Bible (Classic, with Deuterocanon) 1 And the pharises came togedder vnto him and dyvers of the scribes which came from Ierusalem. 1 Y SE juntaron á él los Fariseos, y algunos de los escribas, que habían venido de Jerusalem;
1 Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes gathered together to him, having come from Jerusalem.
2 And when they sawe certayne of his disciples eate breed with comen hondes (that is to saye with vnwesshen hondes) they complayned.
2 Now when they saw some of his disciples eating bread with defiled, that is unwashed, hands, they found fault.
3 For the pharises and all the Iewes excepte they washe their hondes ofte eate not observinge the tradicions of the elders.
3 (For the Pharisees and all the Jews don’t eat unless they wash their hands and forearms, holding to the tradition of the elders.
4 And when they come from the market except they washe they eate not. And many other thinges ther be which they have taken apon them to observe as the wasshinge of cuppes and cruses and of brasen vessels and of tables.
4 They don’t eat when they come from the marketplace unless they bathe themselves, and there are many other things which they have received to hold to: washings of cups, pitchers, bronze vessels, and couches.)
5 Then axed him the pharises and scribes why walke not thy disciples accordinge to the tradicions of the elders but eate breede with vnweshen hondes?
5 The Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why don’t your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with unwashed hands?”
6 He answered and sayde vnto them: well prophesied Esaias of you ypocrites as it is writte: This people honoreth me with their lyppes but their hert is farre from me: 6 Y respondiendo él, les dijo: Hipócritas, bien profetizó de vosotros Isaías, como está escrito: Este pueblo con los labios me honra, mas su corazón lejos está de mí.
6 He answered them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 In vayne they worshippe me teachinge doctryns which are nothinge but the comaundementes of men.
7 They worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
8 For ye laye the commaundement of God aparte and observe the tradicions of men as the wesshinge of cruses and of cuppes and many other suche lyke thinges ye do. 8 Porque dejando el mandamiento de Dios, tenéis la tradición de los hombres; las lavaduras de los jarros y de los vasos [de beber]: y hacéis otras muchas cosas semejantes.
8 “For you set aside the commandment of God, and hold tightly to the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and you do many other such things.”
9 And he sayde vnto them: well ye cast asyde the comaundement of God to mayntayne youre owne tradicions.
9 He said to them, “Full well do you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.
10 For Moses sayde: Honoure thy father and thy mother: and whosoever cursseth father or mother let him dye for it. 10 Porque Moisés dijo: Honra á tu padre y á tu madre, y: El que maldijere al padre ó á la madre, morirá de muerte.
10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother;’ and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.’
11 But ye saye: a man shall saye to father or mother Corban: which is: that thou desyrest of me to helpe the with is geven God. 11 Y vosotros decís: [Basta] si dijere un hombre al padre ó la madre: [Es] Corbán (quiere decir, don [mío á Dios]) todo aquello con que pudiera valerte;
11 But you say, ‘If a man tells his father or his mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban,”’” that is to say, given to God,
12 And so ye soffre him no more to do ought for his father or his mother 12 Y no le dejáis hacer más por su padre ó por su madre,
12 “then you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or his mother,
13 makinge the worde of God of none effecte through youre awne tradicions which ye have ordeyned. And many soche thinges ye do. 13 Invalidando la palabra de Dios con vuestra tradición que disteis: y muchas cosas hacéis semejantes á éstas.
13 making void the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down. You do many things like this.”
14 And he called all the people vnto him and sayde vnto them: Herken vnto me every one of you and vnderstonde.
14 He called all the multitude to himself and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand.
15 There is no thinge with out a man that can defyle him when it entreth into him: but thoo thinges which procede out of him are those which defyle the man.
15 There is nothing from outside of the man that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are those that defile the man.
16 If eny man have eares to heare let him heare 16 Si alguno tiene oídos para oir, oiga.
16 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”
17 And when he came to house awaye from the people his disciples axed him of the similitude.
17 When he had entered into a house away from the multitude, his disciples asked him about the parable.
18 And he sayd vnto them: Are ye so without vnderstondinge? Do ye not yet perceave that whatsoever thinge from with out entreth into a man it can not defyle him 18 Y díjoles: ¿También vosotros estáis así sin entendimiento? ¿No entendéis que todo lo de fuera que entra en el hombre, no le puede contaminar;
18 He said to them, “Are you also without understanding? Don’t you perceive that whatever goes into the man from outside can’t defile him,
19 because it entrith not in to his hert but into the belly: and goeth out into the draught that porgeth oute all meates.
19 because it doesn’t go into his heart, but into his stomach, then into the latrine, making all foods clean?”
20 And he sayde: that defileth a man which cometh oute of a man.
20 He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man.
21 For from with in even oute of the herte of men proceade evill thoughtes: advantry fornicacion murder 21 Porque de dentro, del corazón de los hombres, salen los malos pensamientos, los adulterios, las fornicaciones, los homicidios,
21 For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts,
22 covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness.
23 all these evyll thinges come from with in and defile a man.
23 All these evil things come from within and defile the man.”
24 And from thence he rose and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon and entred into an housse and wolde that no man should have knowen: But he coulde not be hyd.
24 From there he arose and went away into the borders of Tyre and Sidon. He entered into a house and didn’t want anyone to know it, but he couldn’t escape notice.
25 For a certayne woman whose doughter had a foule sprete hearde of him and came and fell at his fete.
25 For a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, came and fell down at his feet.
26 The woman was a Greke oute of Syrophenicia and she besought him that he wolde caste out the devyll oute of her doughter.
26 Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race. She begged him that he would cast the demon out of her daughter.
27 And Iesus sayde vnto her: let the chyldren fyrst be feed. For it is not mete to take the chyldres breed and to caste it vnto whelppes.
27 But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not appropriate to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
28 She answered and sayde vnto him: even soo master neverthelesse the whelppes also eate vnder the table of the chyldrens cromes.
28 But she answered him, “Yes, Lord. Yet even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”
29 And he sayde vnto her: for this sayinge goo thy waye the devyll is gone out of thy doughter.
29 He said to her, “For this saying, go your way. The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
30 And when she was come home to her housse she founde the devyll departed and her doughter lyinge on the beed.
30 She went away to her house, and found the child having been laid on the bed, with the demon gone out.
31 And he departed agayne from the coostes of Tyre and Sidon and came vnto the see of Galile thorowe the middes of the coostos of the .x. cities.
31 Again he departed from the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and came to the sea of Galilee through the middle of the region of Decapolis.
32 And they brought vnto him one that was deffe and stambred in his speche and prayde him to laye his honde apon him.
32 They brought to him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech. They begged him to lay his hand on him.
33 And he toke him asyde from the people and put his fyngers in his eares and dyd spyt and touched his tounge 33 Y tomándole aparte de la gente, metió sus dedos en las orejas de él, y escupiendo, tocó su lengua;
33 He took him aside from the multitude privately and put his fingers into his ears; and he spat and touched his tongue.
34 and loked vp to heven and sygthed and sayde vnto him: ephatha that is to saye be openned.
34 Looking up to heaven, he sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha!” that is, “Be opened!”
35 And streyght waye his eares were openned and the stringe of his tounge was loosed and he spake playne.
35 Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was released, and he spoke clearly.
36 And he commaunded them that they shuld tell no man. But the more he forbad them soo moche the more a greate deale they publesshed it: 36 Y les mandó que no lo dijesen á nadie; pero cuanto más les mandaba, tanto más y más lo divulgaban.
36 He commanded them that they should tell no one, but the more he commanded them, so much the more widely they proclaimed it.
37 and were beyonde measure astonyed sayinge: He hath done all thinges well and hath made booth the deffe to heare and the dome to speake.
37 They were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes even the deaf hear and the mute speak!”
