Caring for someone who is ill is a heavy, often hidden labor — physical, emotional, and spiritual. God does not ask you to carry it alone. He invites you to cast the burden on Him, again and again, and promises not that the load will vanish, but that He will sustain you under it. You are held even as you hold another.

Father, this load is heavy, and I am tired in ways that are hard to explain. Today I cast this burden on You — the worry, the weariness, the weight of caring for someone I love. Sustain me as You promised. Hold me up when my strength gives out, and remind me that even as I carry another, I am being carried by You. Amen.
