1 Verba Amos, qui fuit in pastoribus de Thecue, quæ vidit super Israël in diebus Oziæ, regis Juda, et in diebus Jeroboam, filii Joas, regis Israël, ante duos annos terræmotus.
1 LAS palabras de Amós, que fué entre los pastores de Tecoa, las cuales vió acerca de Israel en días de Uzzía rey de Judá, y en días de Jeroboam hijo de Joas rey de Israel, dos años antes del terremoto.
1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdsmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2 Et dixit: [Dominus de Sion rugiet, et de Jerusalem dabit vocem suam; et luxerunt speciosa pastorum, et exsiccatus est vertex Carmeli.
2 Y dijo: Jehová bramará desde Sión, y dará su voz desde Jerusalem; y las estancias de los pastores se enlutarán, y secaráse la cumbre del Carmelo.
2 He said: “Yahweh will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the pastures of the shepherds will mourn, and the top of Carmel will wither.”
3 Hæc dicit Dominus: Super tribus sceleribus Damasci, et super quatuor non convertam eum, eo quod trituraverint in plaustris ferreis Galaad.
3 Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Damasco, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque trillaron á Galaad con trillos de hierro.
3 Yahweh says: “For three transgressions of Damascus, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron;
4 Et mittam ignem in domum Azaël, et devorabit domos Benadad.
4 Y meteré fuego en la casa de Hazael, y consumirá los palacios de Benhadad.
4 but I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, and it will devour the palaces of Ben Hadad.
5 Et conteram vectem Damasci: et disperdam habitatorem de campo idoli, et tenentem sceptrum de domo voluptatis: et transferetur populus Syriæ Cyrenen, dicit Dominus.
5 Y quebraré la barra de Damasco, y talaré los moradores de Bicath-aven, y los gobernadores de Beth-eden: y el pueblo de Aram será trasportado á Chîr, dice Jehová.
5 I will break the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the valley of Aven, and him who holds the scepter from the house of Eden; and the people of Syria shall go into captivity to Kir,” says Yahweh.
6 Hæc dicit Dominus: Super tribus sceleribus Gazæ, et super quatuor non convertam eum, eo quod transtulerint captivitatem perfectam, ut concluderent eam in Idumæa.
6 Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Gaza, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque llevó cautiva toda la cautividad, para entregarlos á Edom.
6 Yahweh says: “For three transgressions of Gaza, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they carried away captive the whole community, to deliver them up to Edom;
7 Et mittam ignem in murum Gazæ, et devorabit ædes ejus.
7 Y meteré fuego en el muro de Gaza, y quemará sus palacios.
7 but I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, and it will devour its palaces.
8 Et disperdam habitatorem de Azoto, et tenentem sceptrum de Ascalone: et convertam manum meam super Accaron, et peribunt reliqui Philisthinorum, dicit Dominus Deus.
8 Y talaré los moradores de Azoto, y los gobernadores de Ascalón: y tornaré mi mano sobre Ecrón, y las reliquias de los Palestinos perecerán, ha dicho el Señor Jehová.
8 I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him who holds the scepter from Ashkelon; and I will turn my hand against Ekron; and the remnant of the Philistines will perish,” says the Lord Yahweh.
9 Hæc dicit Dominus: Super tribus sceleribus Tyri, et super quatuor non convertam eum, eo quod concluserint captivitatem perfectam in Idumæa, et non sint recordati fœderis fratrum.
9 Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Tiro, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque entregaron la cautividad entera á Edom, y no se acordaron del concierto de hermanos.
9 Yahweh says: “For three transgressions of Tyre, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they delivered up the whole community to Edom, and didn’t remember the brotherly covenant;
10 Et mittam ignem in murum Tyri, et devorabit ædes ejus.
10 Y meteré fuego en el muro de Tiro, y consumirá sus palacios.
10 but I will send a fire on the wall of Tyre, and it will devour its palaces.”
11 Hæc dicit Dominus: Super tribus sceleribus Edom, et super quatuor non convertam eum, eo quod persecutus sit in gladio fratrem suum, et violaverit misericordiam ejus, et tenuerit ultra furorem suum, et indignationem suam servaverit usque in finem.
11 Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Edom, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque persiguió á cuchillo á su hermano, y rompió sus conmiseraciones; y con su furor le ha robado siempre, y ha perpetuamente guardado el enojo.
11 Yahweh says: “For three transgressions of Edom, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because he pursued his brother with the sword and cast off all pity, and his anger raged continually, and he kept his wrath forever;
12 Mittam ignem in Theman, et devorabit ædes Bosræ.
12 Y meteré fuego en Temán, y consumirá los palacios de Bosra.
12 but I will send a fire on Teman, and it will devour the palaces of Bozrah.”
13 Hæc dicit Dominus: Super tribus sceleribus filiorum Ammon, et super quatuor non convertam eum, eo quod dissecuerit prægnantes Galaad ad dilatandum terminum suum.
13 Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de los hijos de Ammón, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque abrieron las preñadas de Galaad, para ensanchar su término.
13 Yahweh says: “For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead, that they may enlarge their border.
14 Et succendam ignem in muro Rabba, et devorabit ædes ejus in ululatu in die belli, et in turbine in die commotionis.
14 Y encenderé fuego en el muro de Rabba, y consumirá sus palacios con estruendo en día de batalla, con tempestad en día tempestuoso:
14 But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it will devour its palaces, with shouting in the day of battle, with a storm in the day of the whirlwind;
15 Et ibit Melchom in captivitatem, ipse et principes ejus simul, dicit Dominus.]
15 Y su rey irá en cautiverio, él y sus príncipes todos, dice Jehová.
15 and their king will go into captivity, he and his princes together,” says Yahweh.
