1 El Señor dijo a Moisés: 2 «Da estas instrucciones a los israelitas: Cuando entren en la tierra de Canaán, esta será la tierra que recibirán como herencia, con estos límites: 3 El límite sur comenzará en el desierto de Zin, junto a Edom. Por el este, comenzará en el extremo sur del mar Salado. 4 Luego girará al sur de la subida de Acrabim, pasará por Zin y llegará al sur de Cades-barnea. Después irá hasta Hazar-adar y seguirá hasta Azmón. 5 Desde Azmón el límite girará hacia el arroyo de Egipto y terminará en el mar. 6 El límite occidental será la costa del mar Grande. Este será su límite por el oeste. 7 El límite norte será este: desde el mar Grande trazarán una línea hasta el monte Hor. 8 Desde el monte Hor irá hasta la entrada de Hamat y seguirá hasta Zedad. 9 Después continuará hasta Zifrón y terminará en Hazar-enán. Este será su límite por el norte. 10 Para el límite oriental trazarán una línea desde Hazar-enán hasta Sefam. 11 El límite bajará desde Sefam hasta Riblá, al este de Aín. Luego bajará y seguirá por las laderas al este del mar de Quinéret. 12 Después bajará por el Jordán y terminará en el mar Salado. Esta será su tierra con sus límites». 13 Moisés ordenó a los israelitas: «Esta es la tierra que recibirán por sorteo como herencia, la que el Señor ha ordenado dar a las nueve tribus y media. 14 Porque las familias de la tribu de Rubén, de la tribu de Gad y de la media tribu de Manasés ya han recibido su herencia. 15 Estas dos tribus y media recibieron su herencia al este del Jordán, frente a Jericó». 16 El Señor dijo a Moisés: 17 «Estos son los hombres que repartirán la tierra entre ustedes: el sacerdote Eleazar y Josué hijo de Nun. 18 También escogerán un jefe de cada tribu para ayudar a repartir la tierra. 19 Estos son sus nombres: de la tribu de Judá, Caleb hijo de Jefone; 20 de la tribu de Simeón, Samuel hijo de Amiud; 21 de la tribu de Benjamín, Elidad hijo de Quislón; 22 de la tribu de Dan, el jefe Buquí hijo de Joglí; 23 de los descendientes de José: de la tribu de Manasés, el jefe Haniel hijo de Efod; 24 y de la tribu de Efraín, el jefe Quemuel hijo de Siftán; 25 de la tribu de Zabulón, el jefe Elizafán hijo de Parnac; 26 de la tribu de Isacar, el jefe Paltiel hijo de Azán; 27 de la tribu de Aser, el jefe Ahiud hijo de Selomí; 28 y de la tribu de Neftalí, el jefe Pedael hijo de Amiud». 29 Estos son los hombres a quienes el Señor ordenó repartir la herencia entre los israelitas en la tierra de Canaán.
