1 BY DAVID. I confess You with all my heart, || I praise You before the gods. 2 I bow myself toward Your holy temple, || And I confess Your Name, || For Your kindness, and for Your truth, || For You have made Your saying great above all Your Name. 3 In the day I called, when You answer me, || You strengthen me in my soul [with] strength. 4 O YHWH, all kings of earth confess You, || When they have heard the sayings of Your mouth. 5 And they sing in the ways of YHWH, || For the glory of YHWH [is] great. 6 For YHWH [is] high, and He sees the lowly, || And He knows the haughty from afar. 7 If I walk in the midst of distress You quicken me, || You send forth Your hand against the anger of my enemies, || And Your right hand saves me. 8 YHWH perfects for me, || O YHWH, Your kindness [is] for all time, || Do not let the works of Your hands fall!

Cómo se eligieron
«Comentario» es el comienzo de una homilía o exposición sobre este capítulo (homilías de san Juan Crisóstomo; tratados, sermones y comentarios a los Salmos de san Agustín). «Cita» es una frase en la que las notas de la propia edición identifican la cita de un versículo de este capítulo; solo se conserva si el texto coincide con el versículo. Solo se usan obras de autoría segura. Los Salmos siguen la numeración hebrea (Agustín usa la de los Setenta: su Salmo 50 es aquí el 51).
