1 Lleva el cuerno a tu boca. Él viene como un águila contra la casa del Señor, porque han quebrantado mi pacto y no han guardado mi ley.
1 PON á tu boca trompeta. [Vendrá] como águila contra la casa de Jehová, porque traspasaron mi pacto, y se rebelaron contra mi ley.
1 “Put the trumpet to your lips! Something like an eagle is over Yahweh’s house, because they have broken my covenant and rebelled against my law.
2 Me pedirán ayuda a gritos: «Nosotros, Israel, te conocemos, Dios de Israel».
2 A mí clamará Israel: Dios mío, te hemos conocido.
2 They cry to me, ‘My God, we, Israel, acknowledge you!’
3 Israel ha rechazado lo bueno; sus enemigos lo perseguirán.
3 Israel desamparó el bien: enemigo lo perseguirá.
3 Israel has cast off that which is good. The enemy will pursue him.
4 Han nombrado reyes sin contar conmigo; han nombrado príncipes sin que yo lo supiera. Se han hecho imágenes de plata y oro para su propia destrucción.
4 Ellos hicieron reyes, mas no por mí; constituyeron príncipes, mas yo no lo supe: de su plata y de su oro hicieron ídolos para sí, para ser talados.
4 They have set up kings, but not by me. They have made princes, and I didn’t approve. Of their silver and their gold they have made themselves idols, that they may be cut off.
5 Rechazo tu becerro, Samaria. Mi ira arde contra ellos. ¿Cuánto tardarán los hijos de Israel en purificarse?
5 Tu becerro, oh Samaria, te hizo alejar; encendióse mi enojo contra ellos, hasta que no pudieron alcanzar inocencia.
5 Let Samaria throw out his calf idol! My anger burns against them! How long will it be until they are capable of purity?
6 Lo hizo un artesano: no es un dios. El becerro de Samaria será hecho pedazos.
6 Porque de Israel es, y artífice lo hizo; que no es Dios: por lo que en pedazos será deshecho el becerro de Samaria.
6 For this is even from Israel! The workman made it, and it is no God; indeed, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
7 Han sembrado viento y cosecharán tormenta. Su grano no tiene tallo ni dará harina; y si la da, una nación extranjera se la llevará.
7 Porque sembraron viento, y torbellino segarán: no tendrán mies, ni el fruto hará harina; si la hiciere, extraños la tragarán.
7 For they sow the wind, and they will reap the whirlwind. He has no standing grain. The stalk will yield no head. If it does yield, strangers will swallow it up.
8 Israel ha sido destruido. Ahora están entre las naciones como una copa que nadie quiere.
8 Será tragado Israel: presto serán entre las gentes como vaso en que no hay contentamiento.
8 Israel is swallowed up. Now they are among the nations like a worthless thing.
9 Han subido a Asiria como un asno que anda solo. Efraín ha pagado para conseguir amantes.
9 Porque ellos subieron á Assur, asno montés para sí solo: Ephraim con salario alquiló amantes.
9 For they have gone up to Assyria, like a wild donkey wandering alone. Ephraim has hired lovers for himself.
10 Aunque paguen a las naciones para que los ayuden, los dispersaré. Dentro de poco se quedarán sin rey ni gobernantes.
10 Aunque alquilen á las gentes, ahora las juntaré; y serán un poco afligidos por la carga del rey y de los príncipes.
10 But although they sold themselves among the nations, I will now gather them; and they begin to waste away because of the oppression of the king of mighty ones.
11 Efraín ha multiplicado los altares para el pecado, y esos altares se han convertido en causa de pecado para él.
11 Porque multiplicó Ephraim altares para pecar, tuvo altares para pecar.
11 Because Ephraim has multiplied altars for sinning, they became for him altars for sinning.
12 Aunque le escriba mi ley en diez mil normas, la considera algo extraño.
12 Escribíle las grandezas de mi ley, [y] fueron tenidas por cosas ajenas.
12 I wrote for him the many things of my law, but they were regarded as a strange thing.
13 Ofrece los sacrificios de sus amantes y come la carne, pero el Señor no se complace en ellos. Ahora recordará su maldad y castigará sus pecados. Volverán a Egipto.
13 En los sacrificios de mis dones sacrificaron carne, y comieron: no los quiso Jehová: ahora se acordará de su iniquidad, y visitará su pecado; ellos se tornarán á Egipto.
13 As for the sacrifices of my offerings, they sacrifice meat and eat it, but Yahweh doesn’t accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity, and punish their sins. They will return to Egypt.
14 Israel ha olvidado a su Creador y ha construido palacios. Judá ha multiplicado sus ciudades amuralladas. Pero enviaré fuego a sus ciudades y destruiré sus grandes casas.
14 Olvidó pues Israel á su Hacedor, y edificó templos, y Judá multiplicó ciudades fuertes: mas yo meteré fuego en sus ciudades, el cual devorará sus palacios.
14 For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; and Judah has multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire on his cities, and it will devour its fortresses.”
