1 Chorus to Groom: What will you see in the Sulamitess, other than choruses of encampments?
1 ¡CUÁN hermosos son tus pies en los calzados, oh hija de príncipe! Los contornos de tus muslos son como joyas, obra de mano de excelente maestro.
2 Chorus to Bride: How beautiful are your footsteps in shoes, O daughter of a ruler! The joints of your thighs are like jewels, which have been fabricated by the hand of an artist.
2 Tu ombligo, [como] una taza redonda, que no le falta bebida. Tu vientre, [como] montón de trigo, cercado de lirios.
3 Your navel is a round bowl, never lacking in curvature. Your abdomen is like a bundle of wheat, surrounded with lilies.
3 Tus dos pechos, como dos cabritos mellizos de gama.
4 Your two breasts are like two young twin does.
4 Tu cuello, como torre de marfil; tus ojos, [como] las pesqueras de Hesbón junto á la puerta de Batrabbim; tu nariz, como la torre del Líbano, que mira hacia Damasco.
5 Your neck is like a tower of ivory. Your eyes like the fish ponds at Heshbon, which are at the entrance to the daughter of the multitude. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon, which looks out toward Damascus.
5 Tu cabeza encima de ti, como el Carmelo; y el cabello de tu cabeza, como la púrpura del rey ligada en los corredores.
6 Your head is like Carmel, and the hairs of your head are like the purple of the king, bound into pleats.
6 ¡Qué hermosa eres, y cuán suave, oh amor deleitoso!
7 Most beloved one, how beautiful you are, and how graceful in delights!
7 ¡Y tu estatura es semejante á la palma, y tus pechos á los racimos!
8 Your stature is comparable to the palm tree, and your breasts to clusters of grapes.
8 Yo dije: Subiré á la palma, asiré sus ramos: y tus pechos serán ahora como racimos de vid, y el olor de tu boca como de manzanas;
9 Groom: I said, I will ascend to the palm tree, and take hold of its fruit. And your breasts will be like clusters of grapes on the vine. And the fragrance of your mouth will be like apples.
9 Y tu paladar como el buen vino, que se entra á mi amado suavemente, y hace hablar los labios de los viejos.
10 Bride: Your throat is like the finest wine: wine worthy for my beloved to drink, and for his lips and teeth to contemplate.
10 Yo soy de mi amado, y conmigo tiene su contentamiento.
11 I am for my beloved, and his turning is to me.
11 Ven, oh amado mío, salgamos al campo, moremos en las aldeas.
12 Approach, my beloved. Let us go out into the field; let us linger in the villages.
12 Levantémonos de mañana á las viñas; veamos si brotan las vides, si se abre el cierne, si han florecido los granados; allí te daré mis amores.
13 Let us go up in the morning to the vineyards; let us see if the vineyard has flourished, if the flowers are ready to bear fruit, if the pomegranates have flourished. There I will give my breasts to you. The mandrakes yield their fragrance. At our gates is every fruit. The new and the old, my beloved, I have kept for you.
13 Las mandrágoras han dado olor, y á nuestras puertas hay toda suerte de dulces frutas, nuevas y añejas, que para ti, oh amado mío, he guardado.
