LSV Literal Standard Version WEB World English Bible (Classic, with Deuterocanon) 1 And it comes to pass, after these things—the butler of the king of Egypt and the baker have sinned against their lord, against the king of Egypt; 1 Y ACONTECIÓ después de estas cosas, que el copero del rey de Egipto y el panadero delinquieron contra su señor el rey de Egipto.
1 After these things, the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker offended their lord, the king of Egypt.
2 and Pharaoh is angry against his two eunuchs, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers, 2 Y enojóse Faraón contra sus dos eunucos, contra el principal de los coperos, y contra el principal de los panaderos:
2 Pharaoh was angry with his two officers, the chief cup bearer and the chief baker.
3 and puts them in confinement in the house of the chief of the executioners, into the round-house, the place where Joseph [is] a prisoner, 3 Y púsolos en prisión en la casa del capitán de los de la guardia, en la casa de la cárcel donde José estaba preso.
3 He put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
4 and the chief of the executioners charges Joseph with them, and he serves them; and they are in confinement [for some] days. 4 Y el capitán de los de la guardia dió cargo de ellos á José, y él les servía: y estuvieron días en la prisión.
4 The captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, and he took care of them. They stayed in prison many days.
5 And they dream a dream both of them, each his dream in one night, each according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker whom the king of Egypt has, who [are] prisoners in the round-house. 5 Y ambos á dos, el copero y el panadero del rey de Egipto, que estaban arrestados en la prisión, vieron un sueño, cada uno su sueño en una misma noche, cada uno conforme á la declaración de su sueño.
5 They both dreamed a dream, each man his dream, in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the cup bearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were bound in the prison.
6 And Joseph comes to them in the morning, and sees them, and behold, they [are] morose; 6 Y vino á ellos José por la mañana, y mirólos, y he aquí que estaban tristes.
6 Joseph came in to them in the morning, and saw them, and saw that they were sad.
7 and he asks Pharaoh’s eunuchs who [are] with him in confinement in the house of his lord, saying, “Why [are] your faces sad today?” 7 Y él preguntó á aquellos eunucos de Faraón, que estaban con él en la prisión de la casa de su señor, diciendo: ¿Por qué parecen hoy mal vuestros semblantes?
7 He asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in custody in his master’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?”
8 And they say to him, “We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it”; and Joseph says to them, “Are interpretations not with God? Please recount to me.” 8 Y ellos le dijeron: Hemos tenido un sueño, y no hay quien lo declare. Entonces les dijo José: ¿No son de Dios las declaraciones? Contádmelo ahora.
8 They said to him, “We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.” Joseph said to them, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me.”
9 And the chief of the butlers recounts his dream to Joseph and says to him, “In my dream, then behold, a vine [is] before me! 9 Entonces el principal de los coperos contó su sueño á José, y díjole: Yo soñaba que veía una vid delante de mí,
9 The chief cup bearer told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “In my dream, behold, a vine was in front of me,
10 And in the vine [are] three branches, and it [is] as it were flourishing; gone up has its blossom, its clusters have ripened grapes; 10 Y en la vid tres sarmientos; y ella como que brotaba, y arrojaba su flor, viniendo á madurar sus racimos de uvas:
10 and in the vine were three branches. It was as though it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters produced ripe grapes.
11 and Pharaoh’s cup [is] in my hand, and I take the grapes and press them into the cup of Pharaoh, and I give the cup into the hand of Pharaoh.” 11 Y que la copa de Faraón estaba en mi mano, y tomaba yo las uvas, y las exprimía en la copa de Faraón, y daba yo la copa en mano de Faraón.
11 Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.”
12 And Joseph says to him, “This [is] its interpretation: the three branches are three days; 12 Y díjole José: Esta es su declaración: Los tres sarmientos son tres días:
12 Joseph said to him, “This is its interpretation: the three branches are three days.
13 yet, within three days Pharaoh lifts up your head, and has put you back on your station, and you have given the cup of Pharaoh into his hand, according to the former custom when you were his butler. 13 Al cabo de tres días Faraón te hará levantar cabeza, y te restituirá á tu puesto: y darás la copa á Faraón en su mano, como solías cuando eras su copero.
13 Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your office. You will give Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, the way you did when you were his cup bearer.
14 Surely if you have remembered me with you, when it is well with you, and have please done kindness with me, and have made mention of me to Pharaoh, then you have brought me out from this house, 14 Acuérdate, pues, de mí para contigo cuando tuvieres ese bien, y ruégote que uses conmigo de misericordia, y hagas mención de mí á Faraón, y me saques de esta casa:
14 But remember me when it is well with you. Please show kindness to me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house.
15 for I was really stolen from the land of the Hebrews; and here also I have done nothing that they have put me in the pit [for].” 15 Porque hurtado he sido de la tierra de los Hebreos; y tampoco he hecho aquí porqué me hubiesen de poner en la cárcel.
15 For indeed, I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews, and here also I have done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.”
16 And the chief of the bakers sees that he has interpreted good, and he says to Joseph, “I also [am] in a dream, and behold, three baskets of white bread [are] on my head, 16 Y viendo el principal de los panaderos que había declarado para bien, dijo á José: También yo soñaba que veía tres canastillos blancos sobre mi cabeza;
16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I also was in my dream, and behold, three baskets of white bread were on my head.
17 and in the highest basket [are] of all [kinds] of Pharaoh’s food, work of a baker; and the birds are eating them out of the basket, from off my head.” 17 Y en el canastillo más alto había de todas las viandas de Faraón, obra de panadero; y que las aves las comían del canastillo de sobre mi cabeza.
17 In the uppermost basket there were all kinds of baked food for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.”
18 And Joseph answers and says, “This [is] its interpretation: the three baskets are three days; 18 Entonces respondió José, y dijo: Esta es su declaración: Los tres canastillos tres días son;
18 Joseph answered, “This is its interpretation. The three baskets are three days.
19 yet, within three days Pharaoh lifts up your head from off you, and has hanged you on a tree, and the birds have eaten your flesh from off you.” 19 Al cabo de tres días quitará Faraón tu cabeza de sobre ti, y te hará colgar en la horca, y las aves comerán tu carne de sobre ti.
19 Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head from off you, and will hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from off you.”
20 And it comes to pass, on the third day, Pharaoh’s birthday, that he makes a banquet to all his servants, and lifts up the head of the chief of the butlers, and the head of the chief of the bakers among his servants, 20 Y fué el tercero día el día del nacimiento de Faraón, é hizo banquete á todos sus sirvientes: y alzó la cabeza del principal de los coperos, y la cabeza del principal de los panaderos, entre sus servidores.
20 On the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, he made a feast for all his servants, and he lifted up the head of the chief cup bearer and the head of the chief baker among his servants.
21 and he puts back the chief of the butlers to his butlership, and he gives the cup into the hand of Pharaoh; 21 E hizo volver á su oficio al principal de los coperos; y dió él la copa en mano de Faraón.
21 He restored the chief cup bearer to his position again, and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand;
22 and the chief of the bakers he has hanged, as Joseph has interpreted to them; 22 Mas hizo ahorcar al principal de los panaderos, como le había declarado José.
22 but he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them.
23 and the chief of the butlers has not remembered Joseph, but forgets him. 23 Y el principal de los coperos no se acordó de José, sino que le olvidó.
23 Yet the chief cup bearer didn’t remember Joseph, but forgot him.
