1 Και θέλεις κάμει την σκηνήν, δέκα παραπετάσματα εκ βύσσου κεκλωσμένης και κυανού και πορφυρού και κοκκίνου· με χερουβείμ εντέχνως ενειργασμένα θέλεις κάμει αυτά.
1 Y HARÁS el tabernáculo de diez cortinas de lino torcido, cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí: y harás querubines de obra delicada.
1 “Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, with cherubim. You shall make them with the work of a skillful workman.
2 Το μήκος του ενός παραπετάσματος εικοσιοκτώ πηχών, και το πλάτος του ενός παραπετάσματος τεσσάρων πηχών· πάντα τα παραπετάσματα του αυτού μέτρου.
2 La longitud de la una cortina de veintiocho codos, y la anchura de la misma cortina de cuatro codos: todas las cortinas tendrán una medida.
2 The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits: all the curtains shall have one measure.
3 Τα πέντε παραπετάσματα θέλουσι συνάπτεσθαι το εν μετά του άλλου· και τα άλλα πέντε παραπετάσματα θέλουσι συνάπτεσθαι το εν μετά του άλλου.
3 Cinco cortinas estarán juntas la una con la otra, y cinco cortinas unidas la una con la otra.
3 Five curtains shall be coupled together to one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another.
4 Και θέλεις κάμει θηλυκωτήρια κυανά επί της άκρας του πρώτου παραπετάσματος, κατά το πλάγιον όπου γίνεται η ένωσις· ομοίως θέλεις κάμει και επί της τελευταίας άκρας του δευτέρου παραπετάσματος, όπου γίνεται η ένωσις του δευτέρου·
4 Y harás lazadas de cárdeno en la orilla de la una cortina, en el borde, en la juntura: y así harás en la orilla de la postrera cortina en la juntura segunda.
4 You shall make loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain from the edge in the coupling, and you shall do likewise on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second coupling.
5 πεντήκοντα θηλυκωτήρια θέλεις κάμει εις το εν παραπέτασμα, και πεντήκοντα θηλυκωτήρια θέλεις κάμει εις την άκραν του παραπετάσματος την κατά την ένωσιν του δευτέρου, διά να αντικρύζωσι τα θηλυκωτήρια προς άλληλα.
5 Cincuenta lazadas harás en la una cortina, y cincuenta lazadas harás en el borde de la cortina que está en la segunda juntura: las lazadas estarán contrapuestas la una á la otra.
5 You shall make fifty loops in the one curtain, and you shall make fifty loops in the edge of the curtain that is in the second coupling. The loops shall be opposite one another.
6 Και θέλεις κάμει πεντήκοντα περόνας χρυσάς, και με τας περόνας θέλεις συνάψει τα παραπετάσματα προς άλληλα· ούτως η σκηνή θέλει είσθαι μία.
6 Harás también cincuenta corchetes de oro, con los cuales juntarás las cortinas la una con la otra, y se formará un tabernáculo.
6 You shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains to one another with the clasps. The tabernacle shall be a unit.
7 Και θέλεις κάμει παραπετάσματα εκ τριχών αιγών, διά να ήναι κάλυμμα επί της σκηνής· ένδεκα θέλεις κάμει τα παραπετάσματα ταύτα·
7 Harás asimismo cortinas de [pelo] de cabras para una cubierta sobre el tabernáculo; once cortinas harás.
7 “You shall make curtains of goats’ hair for a covering over the tabernacle. You shall make eleven curtains.
8 το μήκος του ενός παραπετάσματος τριάκοντα πηχών, και το πλάτος του ενός παραπετάσματος τεσσάρων πηχών· του αυτού μέτρου θέλουσιν είσθαι τα ένδεκα παραπετάσματα.
8 La longitud de la una cortina será de treinta codos, y la anchura de la misma cortina de cuatro codos: una medida tendrán las once cortinas.
8 The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits: the eleven curtains shall have one measure.
9 Και θέλεις συνάψει τα πέντε παραπετάσματα χωριστά, και τα εξ παραπετάσματα χωριστά· το έκτον όμως παραπέτασμα θέλεις επιδιπλώσει κατά το πρόσωπον της σκηνής.
9 Y juntarás las cinco cortinas aparte y las otras seis cortinas separadamente; y doblarás la sexta cortina delante de la faz del tabernáculo.
9 You shall couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shall double over the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tent.
10 Και θέλεις κάμει πεντήκοντα θηλυκωτήρια επί της άκρας του ενός παραπετάσματος του τελευταίου κατά την ένωσιν, και πεντήκοντα θηλυκωτήρια επί της άκρας του παραπετάσματος, το οποίον ενόνεται με το δεύτερον.
10 Y harás cincuenta lazadas en la orilla de la una cortina, al borde en la juntura, y cincuenta lazadas en la orilla de la segunda cortina en la [otra] juntura.
10 You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outermost in the coupling, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain which is outermost in the second coupling.
11 Θέλεις κάμει και πεντήκοντα περόνας χαλκίνας, και θέλεις εμβάλει τας περόνας εις τα θηλυκωτήρια, και θέλεις συνάψει την σκηνήν, ώστε να ήναι μία.
11 Harás asimismo cincuenta corchetes de alambre, los cuales meterás por las lazadas: y juntarás la tienda, para que se haga una sola cubierta.
11 You shall make fifty clasps of bronze, and put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.
12 Το δε υπόλοιπον, το περισσεύον εκ των παραπετασμάτων της σκηνής, το ήμισυ του παραπετάσματος του εναπολειπομένου, θέλει κρέμασθαι επί τα όπισθεν της σκηνής.
12 Y el sobrante que resulta en las cortinas de la tienda, la mitad de la una cortina que sobra, quedará á las espaldas del tabernáculo.
12 The overhanging part that remains of the curtains of the tent—the half curtain that remains—shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
13 Και μία πήχη εκ του ενός πλαγίου και μία πήχη εκ του άλλου πλαγίου εκ του εναπολειπομένου εις το μήκος των παραπετασμάτων της σκηνής θέλει κρέμασθαι επάνωθεν επί τα πλάγια της σκηνής εντεύθεν και εντεύθεν, διά να καλύπτη αυτήν.
13 Y un codo de la una parte, y otro codo de la otra que sobra en la longitud de las cortinas de la tienda, cargará sobre los lados del tabernáculo de la una parte y de la otra, para cubrirlo.
13 The cubit on the one side and the cubit on the other side, of that which remains in the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
14 Και θέλεις κάμει κατακάλυμμα διά την σκηνήν εκ δερμάτων κριών κοκκινοβαφών και επικάλυμμα υπεράνωθεν εκ δερμάτων θώων.
14 Harás también á la tienda una cubierta de cueros de carneros, teñidos de rojo, y una cubierta de cueros de tejones encima.
14 You shall make a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of sea cow hides above.
15 Και θέλεις κάμει διά την σκηνήν σανίδας εκ ξύλου σιττίμ ορθίας·
15 Y harás para el tabernáculo tablas de madera de Sittim, que estén derechas.
15 “You shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright.
16 δέκα πηχών το μήκος της μιας σανίδος, και μιας πήχης και ημισείας το πλάτος της μιας σανίδος.
16 La longitud de cada tabla será de diez codos, y de codo y medio la anchura de cada tabla.
16 Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and one and a half cubits the width of each board.
17 Δύο αγκωνίσκοι θέλουσιν είσθαι εις την μίαν σανίδα αντικρύζοντες προς αλλήλους· ούτω θέλεις κάμει εις πάσας τας σανίδας της σκηνής.
17 Dos quicios tendrá cada tabla, trabadas la una con la otra; así harás todas las tablas del tabernáculo.
17 There shall be two tenons in each board, joined to one another: thus you shall make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
18 Και θέλεις κάμει τας σανίδας διά την σκηνήν, είκοσι σανίδας από το νότιον μέρος προς μεσημβρίαν.
18 Harás, pues, las tablas del tabernáculo: veinte tablas al lado del mediodía, al austro.
18 You shall make twenty boards for the tabernacle, for the south side southward.
19 και υποκάτω των είκοσι σανίδων θέλεις κάμει τεσσαράκοντα υποβάσια αργυρά· δύο υποβάσια υποκάτω της μιας σανίδος διά τους δύο αγκωνίσκους αυτής, και δύο υποβάσια υποκάτω της άλλης σανίδος διά τους δύο αγκωνίσκους αυτής.
19 Y harás cuarenta basas de plata debajo de las veinte tablas; dos basas debajo de la una tabla para sus dos quicios, y dos basas debajo de la otra tabla para sus dos quicios.
19 You shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.
20 Και διά το δεύτερον μέρος της σκηνής το προς βορράν, θέλεις κάμει είκοσι σανίδας.
20 Y al otro lado del tabernáculo, á la parte del aquilón, veinte tablas;
20 For the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty boards,
21 και τα τεσσαράκοντα αυτών υποβάσια αργυρά, δύο υποβάσια υποκάτω της μιας σανίδος, και δύο υποβάσια υποκάτω της άλλης σανίδος.
21 Y sus cuarenta basas de plata: dos basas debajo de la una tabla, y dos basas debajo de la otra tabla.
21 and their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
22 Και διά τα όπισθεν μέρη της σκηνής τα προς δυσμάς θέλεις κάμει εξ σανίδας.
22 Y para el lado del tabernáculo, al occidente, harás seis tablas.
22 For the far side of the tabernacle westward you shall make six boards.
23 Θέλεις κάμει και δύο σανίδας διά τας γωνίας της σκηνής εις τα όπισθεν μέρη·
23 Harás además dos tablas para las esquinas del tabernáculo en los dos ángulos posteriores;
23 You shall make two boards for the corners of the tabernacle in the far side.
24 και θέλουσιν ενωθή κάτωθεν και θέλουσιν ενωθή ομού άνωθεν δι' ενός κρίκου· ούτω θέλει είσθαι δι' αυτάς αμφοτέρας· διά τας δύο γωνίας θέλουσιν είσθαι.
24 Las cuales se unirán por abajo, y asimismo se juntarán por su alto á un gozne: así será de las otras dos [que] estarán á las dos esquinas.
24 They shall be double beneath, and in the same way they shall be whole to its top to one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.
25 και θέλουσιν είσθαι οκτώ σανίδες και τα αργυρά υποβάσια αυτών, δεκαέξ υποβάσια· δύο υποβάσια υποκάτω της μιας σανίδος και δύο υποβάσια υποκάτω της άλλης σανίδος.
25 De suerte que serán ocho tablas, con sus basas de plata, diez y seis basas; dos basas debajo de la una tabla, y dos basas debajo de la otra tabla.
25 There shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
26 Και θέλεις κάμει μοχλούς εκ ξύλου σιττίμ· πέντε διά τας σανίδας του ενός μέρους της σκηνής,
26 Harás también cinco barras de madera de Sittim, para las tablas del un lado del tabernáculo,
26 “You shall make bars of acacia wood: five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
27 και πέντε μοχλούς διά τας σανίδας του άλλου μέρους της σκηνής, και πέντε μοχλούς διά τας σανίδας του μέρους της σκηνής διά το πλάγιον το προς δυσμάς.
27 Y cinco barras para las tablas del otro lado del tabernáculo, y cinco barras para el otro lado del tabernáculo, que está al occidente.
27 and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the far side westward.
28 και ο μέσος μοχλός, ο εν τω μέσω των σανίδων, θέλει διαπερά απ' άκρου έως άκρου.
28 Y la barra del medio pasará por medio de las tablas, del un cabo al otro.
28 The middle bar in the middle of the boards shall pass through from end to end.
29 Και τας σανίδας θέλεις περικαλύψει με χρυσίον και τους κρίκους αυτών θέλεις κάμει χρυσούς, διά να ήναι θήκαι των μοχλών. και θέλεις περικαλύψει τους μοχλούς με χρυσίον.
29 Y cubrirás las tablas de oro, y harás sus anillos de oro para meter por ellos las barras: también cubrirás las barras de oro.
29 You shall overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars. You shall overlay the bars with gold.
30 Και θέλεις ανεγείρει την σκηνήν κατά το σχέδιον αυτής το δειχθέν εις σε επί του όρους.
30 Y alzarás el tabernáculo conforme á su traza que te fué mostrada en el monte.
30 You shall set up the tabernacle according to the way that it was shown to you on the mountain.
31 Και θέλεις κάμει καταπέτασμα εκ κυανού και πορφυρού και κοκκίνου και βύσσου κεκλωσμένης, εντέχνου εργασίας· με χερουβείμ θέλει είσθαι κατεσκευασμένον.
31 Y harás también un velo de cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y de lino torcido: será hecho de primorosa labor, con querubines:
31 “You shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cherubim. It shall be the work of a skillful workman.
32 Και θέλεις κρεμάσει αυτό επί τεσσάρων στύλων εκ σιττίμ περικεκαλυμμένων με χρυσίον· τα άγκιστρα αυτών θέλουσιν είσθαι χρυσά, επί των τεσσάρων αργυρών υποβασίων.
32 Y has de ponerlo sobre cuatro columnas de madera de Sittim cubiertas de oro; sus capiteles de oro, sobre basas de plata.
32 You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold; their hooks shall be of gold, on four sockets of silver.
33 Και θέλεις κρεμάσει το καταπέτασμα υπό τας περόνας, διά να φέρης εκεί, έσωθεν του καταπετάσματος, την κιβωτόν του μαρτυρίου· και το καταπέτασμα θέλει κάμνει εις εσάς χώρισμα μεταξύ του αγίου και του αγίου των αγίων.
33 Y pondrás el velo debajo de los corchetes, y meterás allí, del velo adentro, el arca del testimonio; y aquel velo os hará separación entre el lugar santo y el santísimo.
33 You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring the ark of the covenant in there within the veil. The veil shall separate the holy place from the most holy for you.
34 Και θέλεις επιθέσει το ιλαστήριον επί της κιβωτού του μαρτυρίου εν τω αγίω των αγίων.
34 Y pondrás la cubierta sobre el arca del testimonio en el lugar santísimo.
34 You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the covenant in the most holy place.
35 Και θέλεις θέσει την τράπεζαν έξωθεν του καταπετάσματος και την λυχνίαν αντικρύ της τραπέζης προς το νότιον μέρος της σκηνής· την δε τράπεζαν θέλεις θέσει προς το βόρειον μέρος.
35 Y pondrás la mesa fuera del velo, y el candelero enfrente de la mesa al lado del tabernáculo al mediodía; y pondrás la mesa al lado del aquilón.
35 You shall set the table outside the veil, and the lamp stand opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south. You shall put the table on the north side.
36 Και θέλεις κάμει διά την θύραν της σκηνής τάπητα εκ κυανού και πορφυρού και κοκκίνου και βύσσου κεκλωσμένης, κατεσκευασμένον με εργασίαν κεντητού.
36 Y harás á la puerta del tabernáculo una cortina de cárdeno, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido, obra de bordador.
36 “You shall make a screen for the door of the Tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the embroiderer.
37 Και θέλεις κάμει διά τον τάπητα πέντε στύλους εκ σιττίμ, και θέλεις περικαλύψει αυτούς με χρυσίον· τα άγκιστρα αυτών θέλουσιν είσθαι χρυσά· και θέλεις χύσει δι' αυτούς πέντε υποβάσια χάλκινα.
37 Y harás para la cortina cinco columnas de madera de Sittim, las cuales cubrirás de oro, con sus capiteles de oro: y hacerlas has de fundición cinco basas de metal.
37 You shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia, and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold. You shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.

How these were chosen
“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
Again, they assert that the sun, the great light-giver, was formed on the fourth day, with a reference to the number of the Tetrad. So also, according to them, the courts of the tabernacle constructed by Moses, being composed of fine linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, pointed to the same image.
Among the rest, curtains of haircloth were ordered to be made not ten, but eleven; because by haircloth is signified the confession of sins.

They have carefully enumerated the curtains as being ten, declaring these a type of the ten Æons; but they have forgotten to count the coverings of skin, which were eleven in number.
