Psalm 60 in VUL = Psalm 61 in RV1909.

VUL Clementine Vulgate
RV1909 Reina-Valera 1909
1 In finem. In hymnis David.
·
2 [Exaudi, Deus, deprecationem meam; intende orationi meæ.
61:1 Al Músico principal: sobre Neginoth: Salmo de David. OYE, oh Dios, mi clamor; á mi oración atiende.
3 A finibus terræ ad te clamavi, dum anxiaretur cor meum; in petra exaltasti me. Deduxisti me,
5 Inhabitabo in tabernaculo tuo in sæcula; protegar in velamento alarum tuarum.
61:4 Yo habitaré en tu tabernáculo para siempre: estaré seguro bajo la cubierta de tus alas.
6 Quoniam tu, Deus meus, exaudisti orationem meam; dedisti hæreditatem timentibus nomen tuum.
61:5 Porque tú, oh Dios, has oído mis votos, has dado heredad á los que temen tu nombre.
7 Dies super dies regis adjicies; annos ejus usque in diem generationis et generationis.
61:6 Días sobre días añadirás al rey: sus años serán como generación y generación.
8 Permanet in æternum in conspectu Dei: misericordiam et veritatem ejus quis requiret?

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations). Verse numbers below follow the Hebrew/English numbering: 61.

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).

  1. Commentary Augustine of Hippo, Expositions on the Psalms (Psalm LX)

David the king was one man, but not one man he figured; sometimes to wit he figured the Church of many men consisting, extended even unto the ends of the earth: but sometimes One Man he figured, Him he figured that is Mediator of God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
