BSB Berean Standard Bible WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) PT1904 Texto Patriarcal 1904 (acentuado, edición de eBible) 1 After Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples across the Kidron Valley, where they entered a garden. 1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, into which he and his disciples entered.
2 Now Judas His betrayer also knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with His disciples. 2 Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples.
3 So Judas brought a band of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees. They arrived at the garden carrying lanterns, torches, and weapons. 3 Judas then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.
4 Jesus, knowing all that was coming upon Him, stepped forward and asked them, “Whom are you seeking?” 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went out and said to them, “Who are you looking for?”
4 Ἰησοῦς οὖν εἰδὼς πάντα τὰ ἐρχόμενα ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν, ἐξελθὼν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· τίνα ζητεῖτε;
5 “Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. Jesus said, “I am He.” And Judas His betrayer was standing there with them. 5 They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am he.” Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.
6 When Jesus said, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground. 6 When therefore he said to them, “I am he,” they went backward and fell to the ground.
7 So He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. 7 Again therefore he asked them, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
8 “I told you that I am He,” Jesus replied. “So if you are looking for Me, let these men go.” 8 Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,”
9 This was to fulfill the word He had spoken: “I have not lost one of those You have given Me.” 9 that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.”
10 Then Simon Peter drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. 10 Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.
11 “Put your sword back in its sheath!” Jesus said to Peter. “Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given Me?” 11 Jesus therefore said to Peter, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”
11 εἶπεν οὖν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τῷ Πέτρῳ· βάλε τὴν μάχαιραν εἰς τὴν θήκην· τὸ ποτήριον ὃ δέδωκέ μοι ὁ πατήρ, οὐ μὴ πίω αὐτό;
12 Then the band of soldiers, with its commander and the officers of the Jews, arrested Jesus and bound Him. 12 So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews seized Jesus and bound him,
13 They brought Him first to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest that year. 13 and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.
14 Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that it would be better if one man died for the people. 14 Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jews that it was expedient that one man should perish for the people.
15 Now Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he also went with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest. 15 Simon Peter followed Jesus, as did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered in with Jesus into the court of the high priest;
16 But Peter stood outside at the door. Then the disciple who was known to the high priest went out and spoke to the doorkeeper, and brought Peter in. 16 but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter.
17 At this, the servant girl watching the door said to Peter, “Aren’t you also one of this man’s disciples?” “I am not,” he answered. 17 Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, “Are you also one of this man’s disciples?” He said, “I am not.”
18 Because it was cold, the servants and officers were standing around a charcoal fire they had made to keep warm. And Peter was also standing with them, warming himself. 18 Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.
19 Meanwhile, the high priest questioned Jesus about His disciples and His teaching. 19 The high priest therefore asked Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching.
20 “I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered. “I always taught in the synagogues and at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. 20 Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet. I said nothing in secret.
21 Why are you asking Me? Ask those who heard My message. Surely they know what I said.” 21 Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them. Behold, they know the things which I said.”
22 When Jesus had said this, one of the officers standing nearby slapped Him in the face and said, “Is this how You answer the high priest?” 22 When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Jesus with his hand, saying, “Do you answer the high priest like that?”
22 ταῦτα δὲ αὐτοῦ εἰπόντος εἷς τῶν ὑπηρετῶν παρεστηκὼς ἔδωκε ῥάπισμα τῷ Ἰησοῦ εἰπών· οὕτως ἀποκρίνῃ τῷ ἀρχιερεῖ;
23 Jesus replied, “If I said something wrong, testify as to what was wrong. But if I spoke correctly, why did you strike Me?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?”
23 ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· εἰ κακῶς ἐλάλησα, μαρτύρησον περὶ τοῦ κακοῦ· εἰ δὲ καλῶς, τί με δέρεις;
24 Then Annas sent Him, still bound, to Caiaphas the high priest. 24 Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the high priest.
25 Simon Peter was still standing and warming himself. So they asked him, “Aren’t you also one of His disciples?” He denied it and said, “I am not.” 25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.”
25 Ἦν δὲ Σίμων Πέτρος ἑστὼς καὶ θερμαινόμενος. εἶπον οὖν αὐτῷ· μὴ καὶ σὺ ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ εἶ;
26 One of the high priest’s servants, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Didn’t I see you with Him in the garden?” 26 One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?”
26 ἠρνήσατο οὖν ἐκεῖνος καὶ εἶπεν· οὐκ εἰμί. λέγει εἷς ἐκ τῶν δούλων τοῦ ἀρχιερέως, συγγενὴς ὢν οὗ ἀπέκοψε Πέτρος τὸ ὠτίον· οὐκ ἐγώ σε εἶδον ἐν τῷ κήπῳ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ;
27 Peter denied it once more, and immediately a rooster crowed. 27 Peter therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.
28 Then they led Jesus away from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. By now it was early morning, and the Jews did not enter the Praetorium, to avoid being defiled and unable to eat the Passover. 28 They led Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn’t enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.
29 So Pilate went out to them and asked, “What accusation are you bringing against this man?” 29 Pilate therefore went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?”
29 ἐξῆλθεν οὖν ὁ Πιλᾶτος πρὸς αὐτοὺς καὶ εἶπε· τίνα κατηγορίαν φέρετε κατὰ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τούτου;
30 “If He were not a criminal,” they replied, “we would not have handed Him over to you.” 30 They answered him, “If this man weren’t an evildoer, we wouldn’t have delivered him up to you.”
31 “You take Him and judge Him by your own law,” Pilate told them. “We are not permitted to execute anyone,” the Jews replied. 31 Pilate therefore said to them, “Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law.” Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is illegal for us to put anyone to death,”
32 This was to fulfill the word that Jesus had spoken to indicate the kind of death He was going to die. 32 that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
33 Pilate went back into the Praetorium, summoned Jesus, and asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” 33 Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Jesus, and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
33 Εἰσῆλθεν οὖν εἰς τὸ πραιτώριον πάλιν ὁ Πιλᾶτος καὶ ἐφώνησε τὸν Ἰησοῦν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· σὺ εἶ ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
34 “Are you saying this on your own,” Jesus asked, “or did others tell you about Me?” 34 Jesus answered him, “Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?”
34 ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· ἀφ᾽ ἑαυτοῦ σὺ τοῦτο λέγεις ἢ ἄλλοι σοι εἶπον περὶ ἐμοῦ;
35 “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed You over to me. What have You done?” 35 Pilate answered, “I’m not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?”
35 ἀπεκρίθη ὁ Πιλᾶτος· μήτι ἐγὼ Ἰουδαῖός εἰμι; τὸ ἔθνος τὸ σὸν καὶ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς παρέδωκάν σε ἐμοί· τί ἐποίησας;
36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now My kingdom is not of this realm.” 36 Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”
37 “Then You are a king!” Pilate said. “You say that I am a king,” Jesus answered. “For this reason I was born and have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to My voice.” 37 Pilate therefore said to him, “Are you a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
38 “What is truth?” Pilate asked. And having said this, he went out again to the Jews and told them, “I find no basis for a charge against Him. 38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” When he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
39 But it is your custom that I release to you one prisoner at the Passover. So then, do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” 39 But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Therefore, do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
39 ἔστι δὲ συνήθεια ὑμῖν ἵνα ἕνα ὑμῖν ἀπολύσω ἐν τῷ πάσχα· βούλεσθε οὖν ὑμῖν ἀπολύσω τὸν βασιλέα τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
40 “Not this man,” they shouted, “but Barabbas!” (Now Barabbas was an insurrectionist.) 40 Then they all shouted again, saying, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.
