1 И видел я сон, и вот, поднялся с моря орел, у которого было двенадцать крыльев пернатых и три головы.

1 It came to pass the second night that I saw a dream, and behold, an eagle which had twelve feathered wings and three heads came up from the sea.
2 И видел я: вот, он распростирал крылья свои над всею землею, и все ветры небесные дули на него и собирались облака.
·
2 I saw, and behold, she spread her wings over all the earth, and all the winds of heaven blew on her, and the clouds were gathered together against her.
3 И видел я, что из перьев его выходили другие малые перья, и из тех выходили еще меньшие и короткие.
·
3 I saw, and out of her wings there grew other wings near them; and they became little, tiny wings.
4 Головы его покоились, и средняя голова была больше других голов, но также покоилась с ними.
·
4 But her heads were at rest. The head in the middle was larger than the other heads, yet rested it with them.
5 И видел я: вот орел летал на крыльях своих и царствовал над землею и над всеми обитателями ее.
·
5 Moreover I saw, and behold, the eagle flew with her wings to reign over the earth and over those who dwell therein.
6 И видел я, что все поднебесное было покорно ему, и никто не сопротивлялся ему, ни одна из тварей, существующих на земле.
·
6 I saw how all things under heaven were subject to her, and no one spoke against her—no, not one creature on earth.
7 И вот, орел стал на когти свои и испустил голос к перьям своим и сказал:
·
7 I saw, and behold, the eagle rose on her talons, and uttered her voice to her wings, saying,
8 не бодрствуйте все вместе; спите каждое на своем месте, и бодрствуйте поочередно,
·
8 “Don’t all watch at the same time. Let each one sleep in his own place and watch in turn;
10 Видел я, что голос его исходил не из голов его, но из средины тела его.
·
10 I saw, and behold, the voice didn’t come out of her heads, but from the midst of her body.
11 Я сосчитал малые перья его; их было восемь.
·
11 I counted her wings that were near the others, and behold, there were eight of them.
12 И вот, с правой стороны поднялось одно перо и воцарилось над всею землею.
·
12 I saw, and behold, on the right side one wing arose and reigned over all the earth.
13 И когда воцарилось, пришел конец его, и не видно стало места его; потом поднялось другое перо и царствовало; это владычествовало долгое время.
·
13 When it reigned, the end of it came, and it disappeared, so that its place appeared no more. The next wing rose up and reigned, and it ruled a long time.
14 Когда оно царствовало и приблизился конец его, чтобы оно так же исчезло, как и первое,
·
14 It happened that when it reigned, its end came also, so that it disappeared, like the first.
16 слушай ты, которое столько времени обладало землею! вот что я возвещаю тебе, прежде нежели начнешь исчезать:
·
16 “Listen, you who have ruled over the earth all this time! I proclaim this to you, before you disappear,
17 никто после тебя не будет владычествовать столько времени, как ты, и даже половины того.
·
17 none after you will rule as long as you, not even half as long.”
18 И поднялось третье перо, и владычествовало, как и прежние, но исчезло и оно.
·
18 Then the third arose, and ruled as the others before, and it also disappeared.
19 Так было и со всеми другими: они владычествовали и потом исчезали навсегда.
·
19 So it went with all the wings one after another, as every one ruled, and then disappeared.
20 Я видел, что по времени с правой стороны поднимались следующие перья, чтобы и им иметь начальство, и некоторые из них начальствовали, но тотчас исчезали;
·
20 I saw, and behold, in process of time the wings that followed were set up on the right side, that they might rule also. Some of them ruled, but in a while they disappeared.
21 иные же из них поднимались, но не получали начальства.
·
21 Some of them also were set up, but didn’t rule.
22 После сего не являлись более двенадцать перьев, ни два малых пера;
·
22 After this I saw, and behold, the twelve wings disappeared, along with two of the little wings.
23 и не осталось в теле орла ничего, кроме двух голов покоящихся и шести малых перьев.
·
23 There was no more left on the eagle’s body, except the three heads that rested, and six little wings.
24 Я видел, и вот, из шести малых перьев отделились два и остались под головою, которая была с правой стороны, а четыре оставались на своем месте.
·
24 I saw, and behold, two little wings divided themselves from the six and remained under the head that was on the right side; but four remained in their place.
25 Потом подкрыльные перья покушались подняться и начальствовать;
·
25 I saw, and behold, these under wings planned to set themselves up and to rule.
26 и вот, одно поднялось, но тотчас исчезло;
·
26 I saw, and behold, there was one set up, but in a while it disappeared.
27 а следующие исчезали еще скорее, нежели прежние.
·
27 A second also did so, and it disappeared faster than the first.
28 И видел я: вот, два остававшиеся пера покушались также царствовать.
·
28 I saw, and behold, the two that remained also planned between themselves to reign.
29 Когда они покушались, одна из покоящихся голов, которая была средняя, пробудилась, и она была более других двух голов.
·
29 While they thought about it, behold, one of the heads at rest awakened, the one that was in the middle, for that was greater than the two other heads.
30 И видел я, что две другие головы соединились с нею.
·
30 I saw how it joined the two other heads with it.
31 И эта голова, обратившись с теми, которые были соединены с нею, пожрала два подкрыльных пера, которые покушались царствовать.
·
31 Behold, the head turned with those who were with it, and ate the two under wings that planned to reign.
32 Эта голова устрашила всю землю и владычествовала над обитателями земли с великим угнетением, и удерживала власть на земном шаре более всех крыльев, которые были.
·
32 But this head held the whole earth in possession, and ruled over those who dwell in it with much oppression. It had stronger governance over the world than all the wings that had gone before.
33 После того я видел, что и средняя голова внезапно исчезла, как и крылья;
·
33 After this I saw, and behold, the head also that was in the middle suddenly disappeared, like the wings.
34 оставались две головы, которые подобным образом царствовали на земле и над ее обитателями.
·
34 But the two heads remained, which also reigned the same way over the earth and over those who dwell in it.
35 И вот, голова с правой стороны пожрала ту, которая была с левой.
·
35 I saw, and behold, the head on the right side devoured the one that was on the left side.
36 И слышал я голос, говорящий мне: смотри перед собою, и размышляй о том, что видишь.
·
36 Then I heard a voice, which said to me, “Look in front of you, and consider the thing that you see.”
37 И видел я: вот, как бы лев, выбежавший из леса и рыкающий, испустил человеческий голос к орлу и сказал:
·
37 I saw, and behold, something like a lion roused out of the woods roaring. I heard how he sent out a man’s voice to the eagle, and spoke, saying,
38 слушай, что я буду говорить тебе и что скажет тебе Всевышний:
·
38 “Listen and I will talk with you. The Most High will say to you,
39 не ты ли оставшийся из числа четырех животных, которых Я поставил царствовать в веке Моем, чтобы через них пришел конец времен тех?
·
39 ‘Aren’t you the one that remains of the four animals whom I made to reign in my world, that the end of my times might come through them?
40 И четвертое из них пришло, победило всех прежде бывших животных и держало век в большом трепете и всю вселенную в лютом угнетении, и с тягостнейшим утеснением подвластных, и столь долгое время обитало на земле с коварством.

40 The fourth came and overcame all the animals that were past, and ruled the world with great trembling, and the whole extent of the earth with grievous oppression. He lived on the earth such a long time with deceit.
42 ты утеснял кротких, обижал миролюбивых, любил лжецов, разорял жилища тех, которые приносили пользу, и разрушал стены тех, которые не делали тебе вреда.

42 For you have afflicted the meek, you have hurt the peaceful, you have hated those who speak truth, you have loved liars, destroyed the dwellings of those who produced fruit, and threw down the walls of those who did you no harm.
43 И взошла ко Всевышнему обида твоя, и гордыня твоя - к Крепкому.
·
43 Your insolence has come up to the Most High, and your pride to the Mighty.
44 И воззрел Всевышний на времена гордыни, и вот, они кончились, и исполнилась мера злодейств ее.
·
44 The Most High also has looked at his times, and behold, they are ended, and his ages are fulfilled.
45 Поэтому исчезни ты, орел, с страшными крыльями твоими, с гнусными перьями твоими, со злыми головами твоими, с жестокими когтями твоими и со всем негодным телом твоим,
·
45 Therefore appear no more, you eagle, nor your horrible wings, nor your evil little wings, nor your cruel heads, nor your hurtful talons, nor all your worthless body,
46 чтобы отдохнула вся земля и освободилась от твоего насилия, и надеялась на суд и милосердие своего Создателя.
·
46 that all the earth may be refreshed and relieved, being delivered from your violence, and that she may hope for the judgment and mercy of him who made her.’”
