ULB Unlocked Literal Bible WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 Now David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
1 David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
2 David arose and went with all his men who were with him from Baalah in Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of Yahweh of hosts, who sits enthroned over the cherubim.
2 David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah, to bring up from there God’s ark, which is called by the Name, even the name of Yahweh of Armies who sits above the cherubim.
3 They set the ark of God on a new cart. They brought it out of Abinadab's house, which was on a hill. Uzzah and Ahio, his sons, were guiding the new cart.
3 They set God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house that was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
4 They brought the cart out of Abinadab's house on the hill with the ark of God on it. Ahio was walking in front of the ark.
4 They brought it out of Abinadab’s house which was in the hill, with God’s ark; and Ahio went before the ark.
5 Then David and all the house of Israel began to play before Yahweh, celebrating with wooden instruments, harps, lyres, tambourines, rattles, and cymbals.
5 David and all the house of Israel played before Yahweh with all kinds of instruments made of cypress wood, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with castanets, and with cymbals.
6 When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, the oxen stumbled, and Uzzah reached out with his hand to grab the ark of God, and he took hold of it. 6 Y cuando llegaron á la era de Nachôn, Uzza extendió [la mano] al arca de Dios, y túvola; porque los bueyes daban sacudidas.
6 When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached for God’s ark and took hold of it, for the cattle stumbled.
7 Then the anger of Yahweh burned against Uzzah. God attacked him there for his sin. Uzzah died there by the ark of God. 7 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uzza, é hiriólo allí Dios por aquella temeridad, y cayó allí muerto junto al arca de Dios.
7 Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by God’s ark.
8 David was angry because Yahweh had attacked Uzzah, and he called the name of that place Perez Uzzah. That place is called Perez Uzza to this day.
8 David was displeased because Yahweh had broken out against Uzzah; and he called that place Perez Uzzah to this day.
9 David was afraid of Yahweh that day. He said, “How can the ark of Yahweh come to me?” 9 Y temiendo David á Jehová aquel día, dijo: ¿Cómo ha de venir á mí el arca de Jehová?
9 David was afraid of Yahweh that day; and he said, “How could Yahweh’s ark come to me?”
10 So David was not willing to take the ark of Yahweh with him into the city of David. Instead, he put it aside in the house of Obed Edom the Gittite.
10 So David would not move Yahweh’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.
11 The ark of Yahweh remained in the house of Obed Edom the Gittite for three months. So Yahweh blessed him and all his household.
11 Yahweh’s ark remained in Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom and all his house.
12 Now King David was told, “Yahweh has blessed Obed Edom's house and everything that belongs to him because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from Obed Edom's house to the city of David with joy.
12 King David was told, “Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark.” So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy.
13 When those who were carrying the ark of Yahweh had gone six steps, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.
13 When those who bore Yahweh’s ark had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.
14 David danced before Yahweh with all his might; he was wearing only a linen ephod.
14 David danced before Yahweh with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod.
15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Yahweh with shouting and the sound of trumpets.
15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up Yahweh’s ark with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
16 Now as the ark of Yahweh came into the city of David, Michal, daughter of Saul, looked out the window. She saw King David leaping and dancing before Yahweh. Then she despised him in her heart.
16 As Yahweh’s ark came into David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before Yahweh; and she despised him in her heart.
17 They brought in the ark of Yahweh and put it in its place, in the middle of the tent that David had set up for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before Yahweh.
17 They brought in Yahweh’s ark, and set it in its place in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh.
18 When David had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and the fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yahweh of hosts.
18 When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yahweh of Armies.
19 Then he distributed among all the people, the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins. Then all the people left; each one returned to his own house.
19 He gave to all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to everyone a portion of bread, dates, and raisins. So all the people departed, each to his own house.
20 Then David returned to bless his family. Michal, the daughter of Saul, came out to meet David and said, “How honored the king of Israel was today, who undressed himself today before the eyes of the slave girls among his servants, like one of the crude fellows who shamelessly undresses himself!” 20 Volvió luego David para bendecir su casa: y saliendo Michâl á recibir á David, dijo: ¡Cuán honrado ha sido hoy el rey de Israel, desnudándose hoy delante de las criadas de sus siervos, como se desnudara un juglar!
20 Then David returned to bless his household. Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious the king of Israel was today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of his servants’ maids, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”
21 David responded to Michal, “I did that before Yahweh, who chose me above your father and above all his family, who appointed me leader over the people of Yahweh, over Israel. Before Yahweh I will be joyful! 21 Entonces David respondió á Michâl: Delante de Jehová, que me eligió más bien que á tu padre y á toda su casa, mandándome que fuese príncipe sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel, danzaré delante de Jehová.
21 David said to Michal, “It was before Yahweh, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Yahweh, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before Yahweh.
22 I will be even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you have spoken about, I will be honored.” 22 Y aun me haré más vil que esta vez, y seré bajo á mis propios ojos; y delante de las criadas que dijiste, delante de ellas seré honrado.
22 I will be yet more undignified than this, and will be worthless in my own sight. But the maids of whom you have spoken will honor me.”
23 So Michal, the daughter of Saul, had no children to the day of her death.
23 Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
