1 So it was in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
1 Y ACONTECIÓ en el undécimo año, en el primero del mes, [que] fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
2 “Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, 'Aha! The gates of the people are broken! She has turned to me; I will be filled up because she is ruined.'
2 Hijo del hombre, por cuanto dijo Tiro sobre Jerusalem: Ea, bien: quebrantada es la [que era] puerta de las naciones: á mí se volvió: seré llena; ella desierta:
3 Therefore the Lord Yahweh says this, 'Behold! I am against you, Tyre, and I will raise up many nations against you like the sea raises its waves.
3 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí yo contra ti, oh Tiro, y haré subir contra ti muchas gentes, como la mar hace subir sus ondas.
4 They will destroy the walls of Tyre and tear down her towers. I will sweep her dust away and make her like a bare rock.
4 Y demolerán los muros de Tiro, y derribarán sus torres: y raeré de ella su polvo, y la dejaré como una peña lisa.
5 She will become a place for nets to dry out in the midst of the sea, since I have declared it—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration—and she will become plunder for the nations.
5 Tendedero de redes será en medio de la mar, porque yo he hablado, dice el Señor Jehová: y será saqueada de las gentes.
6 Her daughters who are in the fields will be slaughtered by the swords, and they will know that I am Yahweh.'
6 Y sus hijas que están en el campo, serán muertas á cuchillo; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
7 For this is what Yahweh says: Behold, from the north I am bringing Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, against Tyre, with horses and chariots, and with horsemen and a great many people.
7 Porque así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí que del aquilón traigo yo contra Tiro á Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, rey de reyes, con caballos, y carros, y caballeros, y compañías, y mucho pueblo.
8 He will kill your daughters in the field. He will set up a siege work and build a ramp against your walls and raise up shields against you.
8 Tus hijas que [están] en el campo matará á cuchillo; y pondrá contra ti ingenios, y fundará contra ti baluarte, y afirmará contra ti escudo.
9 He will place his battering rams to hit against your walls, and his tools will tear down your towers.
9 Y pondrá contra ella arietes, contra tus muros, y tus torres destruirá con sus martillos.
10 His horses will be so many that their dust will cover you. Your walls will shake with the sound of horsemen, wagons, and chariots. When he enters your gates, he will enter as men come into a city whose walls have been broken down.
10 Por la multitud de sus caballos te cubrirá el polvo de ellos: con el estruendo de los caballeros, y de las ruedas, y de los carros, temblarán tus muros, cuando entrare por tus puertas como por portillos de ciudad destruída.
11 The hooves of his horses will trample all of your streets. He will kill your people with the sword and your mighty stone pillars will fall to the ground.
11 Con las uñas de sus caballos hollará todas tus calles; á tu pueblo matará á cuchillo, y las estatuas de tu fortaleza caerán á tierra.
12 They will plunder your riches and loot your merchandise. They will tear down your walls and destroy your luxurious homes. Your stones, your timber, and the rubble they will throw into the waters.
12 Y robarán tus riquezas, y saquearán tus mercaderías: y arruinarán tus muros, y tus casas preciosas destruirán; y pondrán tus piedras y tu madera y tu polvo en medio de las aguas.
13 I will stop the noise of your songs. The sound of your harps will be heard no more.
13 Y haré cesar el estrépito de tus canciones, y no se oirá más el son de tus vihuelas.
14 I will make you a bare rock, you will become a place where nets are spread out to dry. You will never be built again, for I, Lord Yahweh have spoken—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.
14 Y te pondré como una peña lisa: tendedero de redes serás; ni nunca más serás edificada: porque yo Jehová he hablado, dice el Señor Jehová.
15 The Lord Yahweh says this to Tyre, 'Will not the islands quake with the sound of your downfall, and with the groans of the wounded when the terrible slaughter is in your midst?
15 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová á Tiro: ¿No se estremecerán las islas al estruendo de tu caída, cuando gritarán los heridos, cuando se hará la matanza en medio de ti?
16 Then all the princes of the sea will step down from their thrones and remove their robes and cast off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling, they will sit on the ground and tremble every moment, and they will be appalled because of you.
16 Entonces todos los príncipes de la mar descenderán de sus sillas, y se quitarán sus mantos, y desnudarán sus bordadas ropas: de espanto se vestirán, sentaránse sobre la tierra, y temblarán á cada momento, y estarán sobre ti atónitos.
17 They will lift up a lament for you and say to you, How you, who were inhabited by sailors, have been destroyed. The famous city that was so strong—it is now gone from the sea. The ones living in her once spread a terror about themselves upon everyone who lived near them.
17 Y levantarán sobre ti endechas, y te dirán: ¿Cómo pereciste tú, poblada en los mares, ciudad que fué alabada, que fué fuerte en la mar, ella y sus habitantes, que ponían su espanto á todos sus moradores?
18 Now the coasts tremble on the day of your downfall. The islands in the sea are terrified, because you are no longer in your place.'
18 Ahora se estremecerán las islas en el día de tu caída, sí, las islas que están en la mar se espantarán de tu éxito.
19 For the Lord Yahweh says this: When I make you a desolate city, like the other cities that are not inhabited, when I raise up the deeps against you, and when the great waters cover you,
19 Porque así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Yo te tornaré ciudad asolada, como las ciudades que no se habitan; haré subir sobre ti el abismo, y las muchas aguas te cubrirán.
20 then I will bring you down to the people of ancient times, like the others who have gone down into the pit; for I will make you live in the lowest realms of the earth as in ruins of ancient times. Because of this you will not come back and stand in the land of the living.
20 Y te haré descender con los que descienden al sepulcro, con el pueblo del siglo: y te pondré en lo más bajo de la tierra, como los desiertos antiguos, con los que descienden al sepulcro, para que nunca más seas poblada; y yo daré gloria en la tierra de los vivientes.
21 I will place disaster on you, and you will be no more forever. Then you will be sought, but you will never be found ever again—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.”
21 Yo te tornaré en espanto, y no serás: y serás buscada, y nunca más serás hallada, dice el Señor Jehová.
