Webster Biblia de Noah Webster (1833) WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
1 Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
2 He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; its length [was] a hundred cubits, and its breadth fifty cubits, and its hight thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.
2 For he built the House of the Forest of Lebanon. Its length was one hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, on four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams on the pillars.
3 And [it was] covered with cedar above upon the beams, that [lay] on forty-five pillars, fifteen [in] a row.
3 It was covered with cedar above over the forty-five beams that were on the pillars, fifteen in a row.
4 And [there were] windows in three rows, and light [was] against light [in] three ranks.
4 There were beams in three rows, and window was facing window in three ranks.
5 And all the doors and posts [were] square, with the windows: and light [was] against light [in] three ranks.
5 All the doors and posts were made square with beams; and window was facing window in three ranks.
6 And he made a porch of pillars; its length [was] fifty cubits, and its breadth thirty cubits: and the porch [was] before them: and the [other] pillars and the thick beams [were] before them.
6 He made the hall of pillars. Its length was fifty cubits and its width thirty cubits, with a porch before them, and pillars and a threshold before them.
7 Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, [even] the porch of judgment: and [it was] covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.
7 He made the porch of the throne where he was to judge, even the porch of judgment; and it was covered with cedar from floor to floor.
8 And his house where he dwelt [had] another court within the porch, [which] was of the like work. Solomon made also a house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had married, like to this porch.
8 His house where he was to dwell, the other court within the porch, was of the same construction. He made also a house for Pharaoh’s daughter (whom Solomon had taken as wife), like this porch.
9 All these [were of] costly stones, according to the measures of hewn stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation to the coping, and [so] on the outside towards the great court.
9 All these were of costly stones, even of stone cut according to measure, sawed with saws, inside and outside, even from the foundation to the coping, and so on the outside to the great court.
10 And the foundation [was of] costly stones, even great stones; stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
10 The foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits and stones of eight cubits.
11 And above [were] costly stones, after the measures of hewn stones, and cedars.
11 Above were costly stones, even cut stone, according to measure, and cedar wood.
12 And the great court around [was] with three rows of hewn stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.
12 The great court around had three courses of cut stone with a course of cedar beams, like the inner court of Yahweh’s house and the porch of the house.
13 And king Solomon sent and brought Hiram out of Tyre.
13 King Solomon sent and brought Hiram out of Tyre.
14 He [was] a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father [was] a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and ingenious to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.
14 He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in bronze; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill to work all works in bronze. He came to King Solomon and performed all his work.
15 For he cast two pillars of brass, each of eighteen cubits high: and a line of twelve cubits did encompass each of them.
15 For he fashioned the two pillars of bronze, eighteen cubits high apiece; and a line of twelve cubits encircled either of them.
16 And he made two capitals [of] molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the hight of the one capital [was] five cubits, and the hight of the other capital [was] five cubits: 16 Hizo también dos capiteles de fundición de bronce, para que fuesen puestos sobre las cabezas de las columnas: la altura de un capitel era de cinco codos, y la del otro capitel de cinco codos.
16 He made two capitals of molten bronze to set on the tops of the pillars. The height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.
17 [And] nets of checker-work, and wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which [were] upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.
17 There were nets of checker work and wreaths of chain work for the capitals which were on the top of the pillars: seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.
18 And he made the pillars, and two rows around upon the one net-work, to cover the capitals that [were] upon the top, with pomegranates: and so he did for the other capital.
18 So he made the pillars; and there were two rows of pomegranates around the one network, to cover the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and he did so for the other capital.
19 And the capitals that [were] upon the top of the pillars [were] of lily-work in the porch, four cubits.
19 The capitals that were on the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily work, four cubits.
20 And the capitals upon the two pillars [had pomegranates] also above, over against the belly which [was] by the net-work: and the pomegranates [were] two hundred in rows around upon the other capital.
20 There were capitals above also on the two pillars, close by the belly which was beside the network. There were two hundred pomegranates in rows around the other capital.
21 And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called its name Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called its name Boaz.
21 He set up the pillars at the porch of the temple. He set up the right pillar and called its name Jachin; and he set up the left pillar and called its name Boaz.
22 And upon the top of the pillars [was] lily-work: so was the work of the pillars finished.
22 On the tops of the pillars was lily work. So the work of the pillars was finished.
23 And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: [it was] entirely round, and its hight [was] five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits encompassed it. 23 Hizo asimismo un mar de fundición, de diez codos del un lado al otro, perfectamente redondo: su altura era de cinco codos, y ceñíalo alrededor un cordón de treinta codos.
23 He made the molten sea ten cubits from brim to brim, round in shape. Its height was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits encircled it.
24 And under the brim of it around [there were] knobs compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea around: the knobs [were] cast in two rows, when it was cast.
24 Under its brim around there were buds which encircled it for ten cubits, encircling the sea. The buds were in two rows, cast when it was cast.
25 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking towards the north, and three looking towards the west, and three looking towards the south, and three looking towards the east: and the sea [was set] above upon them, and all their hinder parts [were] inward.
25 It stood on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set on them above, and all their hindquarters were inward.
26 And it [was] a hand-breadth thick, and its brim was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.
26 It was a hand width thick. Its brim was worked like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily. It held two thousand baths.
27 And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits [was] the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth of it, and three cubits the hight of it. 27 Hizo también diez basas de bronce, siendo la longitud de cada basa de cuatro codos, y la anchura de cuatro codos, y de tres codos la altura.
27 He made the ten bases of bronze. The length of one base was four cubits, four cubits its width, and three cubits its height.
28 And the work of the bases [was] in this [manner] : They had borders, and the borders [were] between the ledges: 28 La obra de las basas era esta: tenían unas cintas, las cuales estaban entre molduras:
28 The work of the bases was like this: they had panels; and there were panels between the ledges;
29 And on the borders that [were] between the ledges [were] lions, oxen, and cherubim: and upon the ledges [there was] a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen [were] certain additions made of thin work.
29 and on the panels that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and on the ledges there was a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.
30 And every base had four brazen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners of it had undersetters: under the laver [were] undersetters molten, at the side of every addition.
30 Every base had four bronze wheels and axles of bronze; and its four feet had supports. The supports were cast beneath the basin, with wreaths at the side of each.
31 And the mouth of it within the capital and above [was] a cubit: but the mouth of it [was] round [after] the work of the base, a cubit and a half: and also upon the mouth of it [were] gravings with their borders, foursquare, not round.
31 Its opening within the capital and above was a cubit. Its opening was round like the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also on its opening were engravings, and their panels were square, not round.
32 And under the borders [were] four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels [were joined] to the base: and the hight of a wheel [was] a cubit and half a cubit.
32 The four wheels were underneath the panels; and the axles of the wheels were in the base. The height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
33 And the work of the wheels [was] like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their fellies, and their spokes, [were] all molten.
33 The work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel. Their axles, their rims, their spokes, and their hubs were all of cast metal.
34 And [there were] four undersetters to the four corners of one base: [and] the undersetters [were] of the very base itself.
34 There were four supports at the four corners of each base. Its supports were of the base itself.
35 And in the top of the base [was there] a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base its ledges and its borders [were] of the same.
35 In the top of the base there was a round band half a cubit high; and on the top of the base its supports and its panels were the same.
36 For on the plates of its ledges, and on its borders, he graved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions around.
36 On the plates of its supports and on its panels, he engraved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, each in its space, with wreaths all around.
37 After this [manner] he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, [and] one size.
37 He made the ten bases in this way: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.
38 Then he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: [and] every laver was four cubits: [and] upon every one of the ten bases one laver.
38 He made ten basins of bronze. One basin contained forty baths. Every basin measured four cubits. One basin was on every one of the ten bases.
39 And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south.
39 He set the bases, five on the right side of the house and five on the left side of the house. He set the sea on the right side of the house eastward and toward the south.
40 And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he executed for king Solomon for the house of the LORD: 40 Asimismo hizo Hiram fuentes, y tenazas, y cuencos.
40 Hiram made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished doing all the work that he worked for King Solomon in Yahweh’s house:
41 The two pillars, and the [two] bowls of the capitals that [were] on the top of the two pillars; and the two net-works, to cover the two bowls of the capitals which [were] upon the top of the pillars; 41 [Es á saber], dos columnas, y los vasos redondos de los capiteles que estaban en lo alto de las dos columnas; y dos redes que cubrían los dos vasos redondos de los capiteles que estaban sobre la cabeza de las columnas;
41 the two pillars; the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;
42 And four hundred pomegranates for the two net-works, [even] two rows of pomegranates for one net-work, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that [were] upon the pillars; 42 Y cuatrocientas granadas para las dos redes, dos órdenes de granadas en cada red, para cubrir los dos vasos redondos que estaban sobre las cabezas de las columnas;
42 the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars;
43 And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases; 43 Y las diez basas, y las diez fuentes sobre las basas;
43 the ten bases; the ten basins on the bases;
44 And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea; 44 Y un mar, y doce bueyes debajo del mar;
44 the one sea; the twelve oxen under the sea;
45 And the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: and all these vessels which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, [were of] bright brass.
45 the pots; the shovels; and the basins. All of these vessels, which Hiram made for King Solomon for Yahweh’s house, were of burnished bronze.
46 In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.
46 The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.
47 And Solomon left all the vessels [unweighed] , because they were very numerous: neither was the weight of the brass ascertained.
47 Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because there were so many of them. The weight of the bronze could not be determined.
48 And Solomon made all the vessels that [pertained] to the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, upon which [was] the show-bread, 48 Entonces hizo Salomón todos los vasos que pertenecían á la casa de Jehová: un altar de oro, y una mesa sobre la cual estaban los panes de la proposición, también de oro;
48 Solomon made all the vessels that were in Yahweh’s house: the golden altar and the table that the show bread was on, of gold;
49 And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right [side] , and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs [of] gold, 49 Y cinco candeleros de oro purísimo á la mano derecha, y otros cinco á la izquierda, delante del oráculo; con las flores, y las lámparas, y despabiladeras de oro;
49 and the lamp stands, five on the right side and five on the left, in front of the inner sanctuary, of pure gold; and the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;
50 And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers [of] pure gold; and the hinges [of] gold, [both] for the doors of the inner house, the most holy [place] , [and] for the doors of the house, [to wit] , of the temple.
50 the cups, the snuffers, the basins, the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, of the temple, of gold.
51 So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; [even] the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, he placed among the treasures of the house of the LORD. 51 Así se acabó toda la obra que dispuso hacer el rey Salomón para la casa de Jehová.
51 Thus all the work that King Solomon did in Yahweh’s house was finished. Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and the vessels—and put them in the treasuries of Yahweh’s house.
