1 Tú, hijo de hombre, toma una espada afilada. Úsala como una navaja de barbero para afeitarte la cabeza y la barba. Toma también una balanza para dividir el pelo por su peso.
1 Y TÚ, hijo del hombre, tómate un cuchillo agudo, una navaja de barbero toma, y hazla pasar sobre tu cabeza y tu barba: tómate después un peso de balanza, y reparte los pelos.
1 “You, son of man, take a sharp sword. You shall take it as a barber’s razor to yourself, and shall cause it to pass over your head and over your beard. Then take balances to weigh and divide the hair.
2 Cuando terminen los días del sitio, quema una tercera parte dentro de la ciudad. Toma otra tercera parte y golpéala con la espada alrededor de la ciudad. Esparce al viento la última tercera parte y envía una espada tras ellos.
2 Una tercera parte quemarás con fuego en medio de la ciudad, cuando se cumplieren los días del cerco, y tomarás una tercera parte, y herirás con cuchillo alrededor de ella; y una tercera parte esparcirás al viento, y yo desenvainaré espada en pos de ellos.
2 A third part you shall burn in the fire in the middle of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled. You shall take a third part, and strike with the sword around it. A third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.
3 Toma unos pocos pelos y guárdalos en los pliegues de tu manto.
3 Tomarás también de allí unos pocos por cuenta, y los atarás en el canto de tu ropa.
3 You shall take a small number of these and bind them in the folds of your robe.
4 Toma algunos de estos y échalos al fuego para quemarlos. Luego di a todos los hijos de Israel:
4 Y tomarás otra vez de ellos, y los echarás en mitad del fuego, y en el fuego los quemarás: de allí saldrá el fuego en toda la casa de Israel.
4 Of these again you shall take, and cast them into the middle of the fire, and burn them in the fire. From it a fire will come out into all the house of Israel.
5 Esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho: Esta es Jerusalén. La he puesto entre las naciones, y los países la rodean por todos lados;
5 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Esta es Jerusalem: púsela en medio de las gentes y de las tierras alrededor de ella.
5 “The Lord Yahweh says: ‘This is Jerusalem. I have set her in the middle of the nations, and countries are around her.
6 Ella se ha rebelado contra mis mandatos y mis decretos. Ha hecho más mal que las naciones y los países que la rodean. Han rechazado mis mandatos y no han seguido mis decretos.
6 Y ella mudó mis juicios y mis ordenanzas en impiedad más que las gentes, y más que las tierras que están alrededor de ella; porque desecharon mis juicios y mis mandamientos, y no anduvieron en ellos.
6 She has rebelled against my ordinances in doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are around her; for they have rejected my ordinances, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.’
7 Por eso el Señor ha dicho: Ustedes han sido más rebeldes que las naciones que los rodean. No han seguido mis decretos ni cumplido mis mandatos; en cambio, han cumplido los mandatos de las naciones que los rodean.
7 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: ¿Por haberos multiplicado más que á las gentes que están alrededor de vosotros, no habéis andado en mis mandamientos, ni habéis guardado mis leyes? Ni aun según las leyes de las gentes que están alrededor de vosotros habéis hecho.
7 “Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Because you are more turbulent than the nations that are around you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my ordinances, neither have followed the ordinances of the nations that are around you;
8 Por eso el Señor ha dicho: Mira, yo mismo estoy contra ti. Ejecutaré mis juicios en medio de ti, ante los ojos de las naciones.
8 Así pues ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí yo contra ti; sí, yo, y haré juicios en medio de ti á los ojos de las naciones.
8 therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I, even I, am against you; and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.
9 Por todas tus prácticas repugnantes, haré en ti lo que nunca he hecho ni volveré a hacer.
9 Y haré en ti lo que nunca hice, ni jamás haré cosa semejante, á causa de todas tus abominaciones.
9 I will do in you that which I have not done, and which I will not do anything like it any more, because of all your abominations.
10 Por eso, en medio de ti los padres se comerán a sus hijos y los hijos a sus padres. Ejecutaré mis juicios en medio de ustedes y esparciré a todos los que queden hacia todos los vientos.
10 Por eso los padres comerán á los hijos en medio de ti, y los hijos comerán á sus padres; y haré en ti juicios, y esparciré á todos vientos todo tu residuo.
10 Therefore the fathers will eat the sons within you, and the sons will eat their fathers. I will execute judgments on you; and I will scatter the whole remnant of you to all the winds.
11 Tan cierto como que vivo, dice el Señor, has contaminado mi santuario con todas tus cosas detestables y tus prácticas repugnantes. Por eso me resultarás repugnante. No te miraré con misericordia ni tendré piedad.
11 Por tanto, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, ciertamente por haber violado mi santuario con todas tus abominaciones, [te] quebrantaré yo también: mi ojo no perdonará, ni tampoco tendré yo misericordia.
11 Therefore as I live,’ says the Lord Yahweh, ‘surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you. My eye won’t spare, and I will have no pity.
12 Una tercera parte de ustedes morirá de enfermedad y se consumirá de hambre en medio de ti. Otra tercera parte caerá a espada a tu alrededor. Esparciré al viento la última tercera parte y enviaré una espada tras ellos.
12 Una tercera parte de ti morirá de pestilencia, y de hambre será consumida en medio de ti; y una tercera parte caerá á cuchillo alrededor de ti; y una tercera parte esparciré á todos los vientos, y tras ellos desenvainaré espada.
12 A third part of you will die with the pestilence, and they will be consumed with famine within you. A third part will fall by the sword around you. A third part I will scatter to all the winds, and will draw out a sword after them.
13 Así se cumplirá mi ira y se calmará mi furor contra ellos. Cuando se cumpla mi ira, sabrán que yo, el Señor, he pronunciado esta sentencia.
13 Y cumpliráse mi furor, y haré que repose en ellos mi enojo, y tomaré satisfacción: y sabrán que yo Jehová he hablado en mi celo, cuando habré cumplido en ellos mi enojo.
13 “‘Thus my anger will be accomplished, and I will cause my wrath toward them to rest, and I will be comforted. They will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken in my zeal, when I have accomplished my wrath on them.
14 Te convertiré en ruinas y en motivo de vergüenza para las naciones que te rodean, a la vista de todos los que pasen.
14 Y te tornaré en desierto y en oprobio entre las gentes que están alrededor de ti, á los ojos de todo transeunte.
14 “‘Moreover I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations that are around you, in the sight of all that pass by.
15 Serás motivo de vergüenza y de insultos, un ejemplo y una causa de espanto para las naciones que te rodean. Ejecutaré mis juicios en medio de ti con ira, furor y duras reprensiones. Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho.
15 Y serás oprobio, y escarnio, y escarmiento, y espanto á las gentes que están alrededor de ti, cuando yo hiciere en ti juicios en furor é indignación, y en reprensiones de ira. Yo Jehová he hablado.
15 So it will be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment, to the nations that are around you, when I execute judgments on you in anger and in wrath, and in wrathful rebukes—I, Yahweh, have spoken it—
16 Enviaré contra ustedes las terribles flechas de la enfermedad para destruirlos y acabar con ustedes. Además, les quitaré el alimento que necesitan.
16 Cuando arrojare yo sobre ellos las perniciosas saetas del hambre, que serán para destrucción, las cuales enviaré para destruiros, entonces aumentaré el hambre sobre vosotros, y quebrantaré entre vosotros el arrimo del pan.
16 when I send on them the evil arrows of famine that are for destruction, which I will send to destroy you. I will increase the famine on you and will break your staff of bread.
17 Enviaré contra ti hambre y fieras que te causarán pérdidas. La enfermedad y la muerte violenta pasarán por ti, y enviaré la espada contra ti. Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho.
17 Enviaré pues sobre vosotros hambre, y malas bestias que te destruyan; y pestilencia y sangre pasarán por ti; y meteré sobre ti cuchillo. Yo Jehová he hablado.
17 I will send on you famine and evil animals, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood will pass through you. I will bring the sword on you. I, Yahweh, have spoken it.’”
