1 Odgovor blag utišava gnev, a reč preka podiže srdnju.
1 LA blanda respuesta quita la ira: mas la palabra áspera hace subir el furor.
1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
2 Jezik mudrih ljudi ukrašava znanje, a usta bezumnih prosipaju bezumlje.
2 La lengua de los sabios adornará la sabiduría: mas la boca de los necios hablará sandeces.
2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools gush out folly.
3 Oči su Gospodnje na svakom mestu gledajući zle i dobre.
3 Los ojos de Jehová están en todo lugar, mirando á los malos y á los buenos.
3 Yahweh’s eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
4 Zdrav je jezik drvo životno, a opačina s njega kršenje od vetra.
4 La sana lengua es árbol de vida: mas la perversidad en ella es quebrantamiento de espíritu.
4 A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but deceit in it crushes the spirit.
5 Lud se ruga nastavom oca svog; a ko prima ukor biva pametan.
5 El necio menosprecia el consejo de su padre: mas el que guarda la corrección, vendrá á ser cuerdo.
5 A fool despises his father’s correction, but he who heeds reproof shows prudence.
6 U kući pravednikovoj ima mnogo blaga; a u dohotku je bezbožnikovom rasap.
6 En la casa del justo hay gran provisión; empero turbación en las ganancias del impío.
6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but the income of the wicked brings trouble.
7 Usne mudrih ljudi seju znanje, a srce bezumničko ne čini tako.
7 Los labios de los sabios esparcen sabiduría: mas no así el corazón de los necios.
7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so with the heart of fools.
8 Žrtva je bezbožnička gad Gospodu, a molitva pravednih ugodna Mu je.
8 El sacrificio de los impíos es abominación á Jehová: mas la oración de los rectos es su gozo.
8 The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
9 Gad je Gospodu put bezbožnikov; a ko ide za pravdom, njega ljubi.
9 Abominación es á Jehová el camino del impío: mas él ama al que sigue justicia.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but he loves him who follows after righteousness.
10 Karanje je zlo onome ko ostavlja put; koji mrzi na ukor, umreće.
10 La reconvención es molesta al que deja el camino: y el que aborreciere la corrección, morirá.
10 There is stern discipline for one who forsakes the way. Whoever hates reproof shall die.
11 Pakao je i pogibao pred Gospodom, a kamoli srca sinova čovečijih.
11 El infierno y la perdición están delante de Jehová: ¡cuánto más los corazones de los hombres!
11 Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh— how much more then the hearts of the children of men!
12 Podsmevač ne ljubi onog ko ga kori, niti ide k mudrima.
12 El escarnecedor no ama al que le reprende; ni se allega á los sabios.
12 A scoffer doesn’t love to be reproved; he will not go to the wise.
13 Veselo srce veseli lice, a žalost u srcu obara duh.
13 El corazón alegre hermosea el rostro: mas por el dolor de corazón el espíritu se abate.
13 A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but an aching heart breaks the spirit.
14 Srce razumno traži znanje, a usta bezumnih ljudi naslađuju se bezumljem.
14 El corazón entendido busca la sabiduría: mas la boca de los necios pace necedad.
14 The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.
15 Svi su dani nevoljnikovi zli; a ko je veselog srca, na gozbi je jednako.
15 Todos los días del afligido son trabajosos: mas el de corazón contento [tiene] un convite continuo.
15 All the days of the afflicted are wretched, but one who has a cheerful heart enjoys a continual feast.
16 Bolje je malo sa strahom Gospodnjim nego veliko blago s nemirom.
16 Mejor es lo poco con el temor de Jehová, que el gran tesoro donde hay turbación.
16 Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh, than great treasure with trouble.
17 Bolje je jelo od zelja gde je ljubav nego od vola ugojena gde je mržnja.
17 Mejor es la comida de legumbres donde hay amor, que de buey engordado donde hay odio.
17 Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is, than a fattened calf with hatred.
18 Čovek gnevljiv zameće raspru; a ko je spor na gnev, utišava svađu.
18 El hombre iracundo mueve contiendas: mas el que tarde se enoja, apaciguará la rencilla.
18 A wrathful man stirs up contention, but one who is slow to anger appeases strife.
19 Put je lenjoga kao ograda od trnja, a staza je pravednih nasuta.
19 El camino del perezoso es como seto de espinos: mas la vereda de los rectos [como] una calzada.
19 The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, but the path of the upright is a highway.
20 Mudar je sin radost ocu, a čovek bezuman prezire mater svoju.
20 El hijo sabio alegra al padre: mas el hombre necio menosprecia á su madre.
20 A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish man despises his mother.
21 Bezumlje je radost bezumniku, a razuman čovek hodi pravo.
21 La necedad es alegría al falto de entendimiento: mas el hombre entendido enderezará su proceder.
21 Folly is joy to one who is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding keeps his way straight.
22 Namere se rasipaju kad nema saveta, a tvrdo stoje gde je mnogo savetnika.
22 Los pensamientos son frustrados donde no hay consejo; mas en la multitud de consejeros se afirman.
22 Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.
23 Raduje se čovek odgovorom usta svojih, i reč u vreme kako je dobra!
23 Alégrase el hombre con la respuesta de su boca: y la palabra á su tiempo, ¡cuán buena es!
23 Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!
24 Put k životu ide gore razumnome da se sačuva od pakla odozdo.
24 El camino de la vida [es] hacia arriba al entendido, para apartarse del infierno abajo.
24 The path of life leads upward for the wise, to keep him from going downward to Sheol.
25 Gospod raskopava kuću ponositima, a među udovici utvrđuje.
25 Jehová asolará la casa de los soberbios: mas él afirmará el término de la viuda.
25 Yahweh will uproot the house of the proud, but he will keep the widow’s borders intact.
26 Mrske su Gospodu misli zle, a besede čistih mile su.
26 Abominación son á Jehová los pensamientos del malo: mas las expresiones de los limpios [son] limpias.
26 Yahweh detests the thoughts of the wicked, but the thoughts of the pure are pleasing.
27 Lakomac zatire svoju kuću, a ko mrzi na poklone živ će biti.
27 Alborota su casa el codicioso: mas el que aborrece las dádivas vivirá.
27 He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live.
28 Srce pravednikovo premišlja šta će govoriti, a usta bezbožnička rigaju zlo.
28 El corazón del justo piensa para responder: mas la boca de los impíos derrama malas cosas.
28 The heart of the righteous weighs answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes out evil.
29 Daleko je Gospod od bezbožnih, a molitvu pravednih čuje.
29 Lejos está Jehová de los impíos: mas él oye la oración de los justos.
29 Yahweh is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
30 Vid očni veseli srce, dobar glas goji kosti.
30 La luz de los ojos alegra el corazón; y la buena fama engorda los huesos.
30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart. Good news gives health to the bones.
31 Uho koje sluša karanje životno nastavaće među mudrima.
31 La oreja que escucha la corrección de vida, entre los sabios morará.
31 The ear that listens to reproof lives, and will be at home among the wise.
32 Ko odbacuje nastavu, ne mari za dušu svoju; a ko sluša karanje, biva razuman.
32 El que tiene en poco la disciplina, menosprecia su alma: mas el que escucha la corrección, tiene entendimiento.
32 He who refuses correction despises his own soul, but he who listens to reproof gets understanding.
33 Strah je Gospodnji nastava k mudrosti, i pre slave ide smernost.
33 El temor de Jehová es enseñanza de sabiduría: y delante de la honra [está] la humildad.
33 The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility.
