1 وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمَلِكُ أَحَشْوِيرُوشُ جِزْيَةً عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَجَزَائِرِ ٱلْبَحْرِ. 2 وَكُلُّ عَمَلِ سُلْطَانِهِ وَجَبَرُوتِهِ وَإِذَاعَةُ عَظَمَةِ مُرْدَخَايَ ٱلَّذِي عَظَّمَهُ ٱلْمَلِكُ، أَمَا هِيَ مَكْتُوبَةٌ فِي سِفْرِ أَخْبَارِ ٱلْأَيَّامِ لِمُلُوكِ مَادِي وَفَارِسَ؟ 3 لِأَنَّ مُرْدَخَايَ ٱلْيَهُودِيَّ كَانَ ثَانِيَ ٱلْمَلِكِ أَحَشْوِيرُوشَ، وَعَظِيمًا بَيْنَ ٱلْيَهُودِ، وَمَقْبُولًا عِنْدَ كَثْرَةِ إِخْوَتِهِ، طَالِبًا ٱلْخَيْرَ لِشَعْبِهِ وَمُتَكَلِّمًا بِٱلسَّلَامِ لِكُلِّ نَسْلِهِ.
