1 Καὶ ἀνέβη ἄγγελος Κυρίου ἀπὸ Γαλγὰλ ἐπὶ τὸν κλαυθμῶνα καὶ ἐπὶ Βαιθὴλ καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ἰσραὴλ, καὶ εἶπε πρὸς αὐτοὺς, τάδε λέγει Κύριος, ἀνεβίβασα ὑμᾶς ἐξ Αἰγύπτου, καὶ εἰσήγαγον ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν ὤμοσα τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν· καὶ εἶπα, οὐ διασκεδάσω τὴν διαθήκην μου τὴν μεθʼ ὑμῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα.

1 Y El ángel de Jehová subió de Gilgal á Bochîm, y dijo: Yo os saqué de Egipto, y os introduje en la tierra de la cual había jurado á vuestros padres; y dije: No invalidaré jamás mi pacto con vosotros;

1 Yahweh’s angel came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, “I brought you out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to give your fathers. I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you.

2 Καὶ ὑμεῖς οὐ διαθήσεσθε διαθήκην τοῖς ἐγκαθημένοις εἰς τὴν γῆν ταύτην, οὐδὲ τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν προσκυνήσετε, ἀλλὰ τὰ γλυπτὰ αὐτῶν συντρίψετε, τὰ θυσιαστήρια αὐτῶν καθελεῖτε· καὶ οὐκ εἰσηκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς μου, ὅτι ταῦτα ἐποιήσατε.

2 Con tal que vosotros no hagáis alianza con los moradores de aquesta tierra, cuyos altares habéis de derribar: mas vosotros no habéis atendido á mi voz: ¿por qué habéis hecho esto?

2 You shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You shall break down their altars.’ But you have not listened to my voice. Why have you done this?

3 Κᾀγὼ εἶπον, οὐ μὴ ἐξάρω αὐτοὺς ἐκ προσώπου ὑμῶν, καὶ ἔσονται ὑμῖν εἰς συνοχὰς, καὶ οἱ θεοὶ αὐτῶν ἔσονται ὑμῖν εἰς σκάνδαλον.

3 Por tanto yo también dije: No los echaré de delante de vosotros, sino que os serán por [azote para] vuestros costados, y sus dioses por tropiezo.

3 Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.’”

4 Καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐλάλησεν ὁ ἄγγελος Κυρίου τοὺς λόγους τούτους πρὸς πάντας υἱοὺς Ἰσραὴλ, καὶ ἐπῇραν ὁ λαὸς τὴν φωνὴν αὐτῶν καὶ ἔκλαυσαν.

4 Y como el ángel de Jehová habló estas palabras á todos los hijos de Israel, el pueblo lloró en alta voz.

4 When Yahweh’s angel spoke these words to all the children of Israel, the people lifted up their voice and wept.

5 Καὶ ἐπωνόμασαν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου, Κλαυθμῶνες· καὶ ἐθυσίασαν ἐκεῖ τῷ Κυρίῳ.

5 Y llamaron por nombre aquel lugar Bochîm: y sacrificaron allí á Jehová.

5 They called the name of that place Bochim, and they sacrificed there to Yahweh.

6 Καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν Ἰησοῦς τὸν λαὸν, καὶ ἦλθεν ἀνὴρ εἰς τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ κατακληρονομῆσαι τὴν γῆν.

6 Porque ya Josué había despedido al pueblo, y los hijos de Israel se habían ido cada uno á su heredad para poseerla.

6 Now when Joshua had sent the people away, the children of Israel each went to his inheritance to possess the land.

7 Καὶ ἐδούλευσεν ὁ λαὸς τῷ Κυρίῳ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας Ἰησοῦ καὶ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῶν πρεσβυτέρων, ὅσοι ἐμακροημέρευσαν μετὰ Ἰησοῦ, ὅσοι ἔγνωσαν πᾶν τὸ ἔργον Κυρίου τὸ μέγα ὅσα ἐποίησεν ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ.

7 Y el pueblo había servido á Jehová todo el tiempo de Josué, y todo el tiempo de los ancianos que vivieron largos días después de Josué, los cuales habían visto todas las grandes obras de Jehová, que él había hecho por Israel.

7 The people served Yahweh all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of Yahweh that he had worked for Israel.

8 Καὶ ἐτελεύτησεν Ἰησοῦς υἱὸς Ναυῆ δοῦλος Κυρίου, υἱὸς ἑκατὸν δέκα ἐτῶν.

8 Y murió Josué hijo de Nun, siervo de Jehová, siendo de ciento y diez años.

8 Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Yahweh, died, being one hundred ten years old.

9 Καὶ ἔθαψαν αὐτὸν ἐν ὁρίῳ τῆς κληρονομίας αὐτοῦ ἐν Θαμναθαρὲς, ἐν ὄρει Ἐφραὶμ ἀπὸ Βοῤῥᾶ τοῦ ὄρους Γαάς.

9 Y enterráronlo en el término de su heredad en Timnath-sera, en el monte de Ephraim, al norte del monte de Gaas.

9 They buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath Heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.

10 Καὶ πᾶσα ἡ γενεὰ ἐκείνη προσετέθησαν πρὸς τοὺς πατέρας αὐτῶν· καὶ ἀνέστη γενεὰ ἑτέρα μετʼ αὐτοὺς, οἳ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τὸν Κύριον, καί γε τὸ ἔργον ὃ ἐποίησεν ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ.

10 Y toda aquella generación fué también recogida con sus padres. Y levantóse después de ellos otra generación, que no conocían á Jehová, ni la obra que él había hecho por Israel.

10 After all that generation were gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who didn’t know Yahweh, nor the work which he had done for Israel.

11 Καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον Κυρίου, καὶ ἐλάτρευσαν τοῖς Βααλίμ.

11 Y los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo en ojos de Jehová, y sirvieron á los Baales:

11 The children of Israel did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and served the Baals.

12 Καὶ ἐγκατέλιπον τὸν Κύριον τὸν Θεὸν τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν, τὸν ἐξαγαγόντα αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου, καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπίσω θεῶν ἑτέρων ἀπὸ τῶν θεῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν τῶν περικύκλῳ αὐτῶν, καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτοῖς· καὶ παρώργισαν τὸν Κύριον,

12 Y dejaron á Jehová el Dios de sus padres, que los había sacado de la tierra de Egipto, y fuéronse tras otros dioses, los dioses de los pueblos que estaban en sus alrededores, á los cuales adoraron; y provocaron á ira á Jehová.

12 They abandoned Yahweh, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; and they provoked Yahweh to anger.

13 καὶ ἐγκατέλιπον αὐτὸν, καὶ ἐλάτρευσαν τῷ Βάαλ καὶ ταῖς Ἀστάρταις.

13 Y dejaron á Jehová, y adoraron á Baal y á Astaroth.

13 They abandoned Yahweh, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.

14 Καὶ ὠργίσθη θυμῷ Κύριος ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ· καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖρας προνομευόντων, καὶ κατεπρονόμευσαν αὐτούς· καὶ ἀπέδοτο αὐτοὺς ἐν χερσὶ τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν κυκλόθεν, καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθησαν ἔτι ἀντιστῆναι κατὰ πρόσωπον τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς ἐπορεύοντο·

14 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, el cual los entregó en manos de robadores que los despojaron, y los vendió en manos de sus enemigos de alrededor: y no pudieron parar más delante de sus enemigos.

14 Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.

15 καὶ χεὶρ Κυρίου ἦν ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς εἰς κακὰ, καθὼς ἐλάλησε Κύριος καὶ καθὼς ὤμοσε Κύριος αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἐξέθλιψεν αὐτοὺς σφόδρα.

15 Por donde quiera que salían, la mano de Jehová era contra ellos para mal, como Jehová había dicho, y como Jehová se lo había jurado; así los afligió en gran manera.

15 Wherever they went out, Yahweh’s hand was against them for evil, as Yahweh had spoken, and as Yahweh had sworn to them; and they were very distressed.

16 Καὶ ἤγειρε Κύριος κριτὰς, καὶ ἔσωσεν αὐτοὺς Κύριος ἐκ χειρὸς τῶν προνομευόντων αὐτούς· καί γε τῶν κριτῶν οὐχ ὑπήκουσαν,

16 Mas Jehová suscitó jueces que los librasen de mano de los que los despojaban.

16 Yahweh raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.

17 ὅτι ἐξεπόρνευσαν ὀπίσω θεῶν ἑτέρων, καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτοῖς· καὶ ἐξέκλιναν ταχὺ ἐκ τῆς ὁδοῦ, ἧς ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ πατέρες αὐτῶν τοῦ εἰσακούειν τῶν λόγων Κυρίου· οὐκ ἐποίησαν οὕτω.

17 Y tampoco oyeron á sus jueces, sino que fornicaron tras dioses ajenos, á los cuales adoraron: apartáronse bien presto del camino en que anduvieron sus padres obedeciendo á los mandamientos de Jehová; [mas] ellos no hicieron así.

17 Yet they didn’t listen to their judges; for they prostituted themselves to other gods, and bowed themselves down to them. They quickly turned away from the way in which their fathers walked, obeying Yahweh’s commandments. They didn’t do so.

18 Καὶ ὅτι ἤγειρε Κύριος αὐτοῖς κριτὰς, καὶ ἦν Κύριος μετὰ τοῦ κριτοῦ, καὶ ἔσωσεν αὐτοὺς ἐκ χειρὸς ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τοῦ κριτοῦ, ὅτι παρεκλήθη Κύριος ἀπὸ τοῦ στεναγμοῦ αὐτῶν ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν πολιορκούντων αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐκθλιβόντων αὐτούς.

18 Y cuando Jehová les suscitaba jueces, Jehová era con el juez, y librábalos de mano de los enemigos todo el tiempo de aquel juez: porque Jehová se arrepentía por sus gemidos á causa de los que los oprimían y afligían.

18 When Yahweh raised up judges for them, then Yahweh was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved Yahweh because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.

19 Καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἀπέθνησκεν ὁ κριτὴς, καὶ ἀπέστρεψαν καὶ πάλιν διέφθειραν ὑπὲρ τοὺς πατέρας αὐτῶν πορεύεσθαι ὀπίσω θεῶν ἑτέρων, λατρεύειν αὐτοῖς καὶ προσκυνεῖν αὐτοῖς· οὐκ ἀπέῤῥιψαν τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτῶν, καὶ τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῶν τὰς σκληράς.

19 Mas en muriendo el juez, ellos se tornaban, y se corrompían más que sus padres, siguiendo dioses ajenos para servirles, é inclinándose delante de ellos; y nada disminuían de sus obras, ni de su duro camino.

19 But when the judge was dead, they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers in following other gods to serve them and to bow down to them. They didn’t cease what they were doing, or give up their stubborn ways.

20 Καὶ ὠργίσθη θυμῷ Κύριος ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ· καὶ εἶπεν, ἀνθʼ ὧν ὅσα ἐγκατέλιπον τὸ ἔθνος τοῦτο τὴν διαθήκην μου ἣν ἐνετειλάμην τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν, καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσαν τῆς φωνῆς μου,

20 Y la ira de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, y dijo: Pues que esta gente traspasa mi pacto que ordené á sus padres, y no obedecen mi voz,

20 Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel; and he said, “Because this nation transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to my voice,

21 καὶ ἐγὼ οὐ προσθήσω τοῦ ἐξᾶραι ἄνδρα ἐκ προσώπου αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν ἐθνῶν, ὧν κατέλιπεν Ἰησοῦς υἱὸς Ναυῆ ἐν τῇ γῇ· καὶ ἀφῆκε

21 Tampoco yo echaré más de delante de ellos á ninguna de aquestas gentes que dejó Josué cuando murió;

21 I also will no longer drive out any of the nations that Joshua left when he died from before them;

22 τοῦ πειρᾶσαι ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸν Ἰσραὴλ, εἰ φυλάσσονται τὴν ὁδὸν Κυρίου πορεύεσθαι ἐν αὐτῇ, ὃν τρόπον ἐφύλαξαν οἱ πατέρες αὐτῶν, ἢ οὔ.

22 Para que por ellas probara yo á Israel, si guardarían ellos el camino de Jehová andando por él, como sus padres lo guardaron, ó no.

22 that by them I may test Israel, to see if they will keep Yahweh’s way to walk therein, as their fathers kept it, or not.”

23 Καὶ ἀφήσει Κύριος τὰ ἔθνη ταῦτα τοῦ μὴ ἐξᾶραι αὐτὰ τὸ τάχος, καὶ οὐ παρέδωκεν αὐτὰ ἐν χειρὶ Ἰησοῦ.

23 Por esto dejó Jehová aquellas gentes, y no las desarraigó luego, ni las entregó en mano de Josué.

23 So Yahweh left those nations, without driving them out hastily. He didn’t deliver them into Joshua’s hand.
