1 А синови Рувимови и синови Гадови имаху врло много стоке, и видеше земљу јазирску и земљу галадску да је добра за стоку.
1 Y LOS hijos de Rubén y los hijos de Gad tenían una muy grande muchedumbre de ganado; los cuales viendo la tierra de Jazer y de Galaad, parecióles el país lugar de ganado.
1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock. They saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead. Behold, the place was a place for livestock.
2 И дошавши синови Гадови и синови Рувимови рекоше Мојсију и Елеазару свештенику и кнезовима од збора говорећи:
2 Y vinieron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, y hablaron á Moisés, y á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á los príncipes de la congregación, diciendo:
2 Then the children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the princes of the congregation, saying,

3 Ataroth, y Dibón, y Jazer, y Nimra, y Hesbón, y Eleale, y Sabán, y Nebo, y Beón,
3 “Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon,
4 та је земља, коју Господ покори збору израиљском, добра за стоку, а слуге твоје имају стоке.
4 La tierra que Jehová hirió delante de la congregación de Israel, es tierra de ganado, y tus siervos tienen ganado.
4 the land which Yahweh struck before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock; and your servants have livestock.”
5 Ако смо, рекоше, нашли милост пред тобом, нека се та земља даде слугама твојим у наследство, немој нас водити преко Јордана.
5 Por tanto, dijeron, si hallamos gracia en tus ojos, dése esta tierra á tus siervos en heredad, y no nos hagas pasar el Jordán.
5 They said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession. Don’t bring us over the Jordan.”
6 А Мојсије рече синовима Гадовим и синовима Рувимовим: Браћа ће ваша ићи на војску, а ви хоћете овде да останете?
6 Y respondió Moisés á los hijos de Gad y á los hijos de Rubén: ¿Vendrán vuestros hermanos á la guerra, y vosotros os quedaréis aquí?
6 Moses said to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to war while you sit here?
7 Зашто обарате срце синовима Израиљевим да не пређу у земљу коју им је дао Господ?
7 ¿Y por qué prevenís el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no pasen á la tierra que les ha dado Jehová?
7 Why do you discourage the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which Yahweh has given them?
8 Тако су учинили оци ваши, кад их послах из Кадис-Варније да уходе земљу;
8 Así hicieron vuestros padres, cuando los envié desde Cades-barnea para que viesen la tierra.
8 Your fathers did so when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to see the land.
9 и отидоше до потока Есхола, и уходише земљу; и оборише срце синовима Израиљевим да не иду у земљу коју им даде Господ;
9 Que subieron hasta la arroyada de Escol, y después que vieron la tierra, preocuparon el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no viniesen á la tierra que Jehová les había dado.
9 For when they went up to the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which Yahweh had given them.
10 и разгневи се онда Господ, и закле се говорећи:
10 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió entonces, y juró diciendo:
10 Yahweh’s anger burned in that day, and he swore, saying,
11 Неће ти људи који изађоше из Мисира, од двадесет година и више, видети земље за коју се заклех Авраму, Исаку и Јакову, јер се не држаше мене сасвим,
11 Que no verán los varones que subieron de Egipto de veinte años arriba, la tierra por la cual juré á Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, por cuanto no fueron perfectos en pos de mí;
11 ‘Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me,
12 осим Халева, сина Јефонијиног Кенезеја и Исуса сина Навиног, јер се сасвим држаше Господа.
12 Excepto Caleb, hijo de Jephone Cenezeo, y Josué hijo de Nun, que fueron perfectos en pos de Jehová.
12 except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun, because they have followed Yahweh completely.’
13 И разгневи се Господ на Израиља, и учини те се потуцаше по пустињи четрдесет година, докле не помре сав онај нараштај који чињаше зло пред Господом.
13 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió en Israel, é hízolos andar errantes cuarenta años por el desierto, hasta que fué acabada toda aquella generación, que había hecho mal delante de Jehová.
13 Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he made them wander back and forth in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation who had done evil in Yahweh’s sight was consumed.
14 А ви сада изађосте на место отаца својих, род грешних људи, да умножавате жестину гнева Господњег на Израиља.
14 Y he aquí vosotros habéis sucedido en lugar de vuestros padres, prole de hombres pecadores, para añadir aún á la ira de Jehová contra Israel.
14 “Behold, you have risen up in your fathers’ place, an increase of sinful men, to increase the fierce anger of Yahweh toward Israel.
15 Ако се одвратите од њега, Он ће га још оставити у пустињи, и тако ћете упропастити сав онај народ.
15 Si os volviereis de en pos de él, él volverá otra vez á dejaros en el desierto, y destruiréis á todo este pueblo.
15 For if you turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and you will destroy all these people.”
16 А они приступише опет к њему, и рекоше му: Ми смо ради само торове начинити овде за стада своја и градове за децу своју.
16 Entonces ellos se llegaron á él y dijeron: Edificaremos aquí majadas para nuestro ganado, y ciudades para nuestros niños;
16 They came near to him, and said, “We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock, and cities for our little ones;
17 А сами ћемо наоружани јуначки поћи пред синовима Израиљевим, докле их не одведемо на њихово место; а наша деца нека стоје у градовима тврдим ради становника те земље.
17 Y nosotros nos armaremos, é iremos con diligencia delante de los hijos de Israel, hasta que los metamos en su lugar: y nuestros niños quedarán en ciudades fuertes á causa de los moradores del país.
17 but we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the children of Israel, until we have brought them to their place. Our little ones shall dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
18 Нећемо се вратити кућама својим докле синови Израиљеви не приме сваки своје наследство.
18 No volveremos á nuestras casas hasta que los hijos de Israel posean cada uno su heredad.
18 We will not return to our houses until the children of Israel have all received their inheritance.
19 Нити ћемо узети наследство с њима с оне стране Јордана ни даље, ако нам допадне наследство с ове стране Јордана према истоку.
19 Porque no tomaremos heredad con ellos al otro lado del Jordán ni adelante, por cuanto tendremos ya nuestra heredad de estotra parte del Jordán al oriente.
19 For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.”
20 Тада им рече Мојсије; ако ћете учинити тако и ићи под оружјем пред Господом на војску,
20 Entonces les respondió Moisés: Si lo hiciereis así, si os apercibiereis para ir delante de Jehová á la guerra,
20 Moses said to them: “If you will do this thing, if you will arm yourselves to go before Yahweh to the war,
21 ако сваки од вас под оружјем пређе преко Јордана пред Господом, докле не отера испред себе непријатеља својих,
21 Y pasareis todos vosotros armados el Jordán delante de Jehová, hasta que haya echado á sus enemigos de delante de sí,
21 and every one of your armed men will pass over the Jordan before Yahweh until he has driven out his enemies from before him,
22 и докле се не покори земља пред Господом, па се онда вратите и не згрешите Господу ни Израиљу, онда ће ова земља припасти вама у наследство пред Господом.
22 Y sea el país sojuzgado delante de Jehová; luego volveréis, y seréis libres de culpa para con Jehová, y para con Israel; y esta tierra será vuestra en heredad delante de Jehová.
22 and the land is subdued before Yahweh; then afterward you shall return, and be clear of obligation to Yahweh and to Israel. Then this land shall be your possession before Yahweh.
23 Ако ли не учините тако, гле, згрешићете Господу, и знајте да ће вас грех ваш стићи.
23 Mas si así no lo hiciereis, he aquí habréis pecado á Jehová; y sabed que os alcanzará vuestro pecado.
23 “But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against Yahweh; and be sure your sin will find you out.
24 Градите себи градове за децу своју и торове за стоку своју; и шта је изашло из уста ваших, учините.
24 Edificaos ciudades para vuestros niños, y majadas para vuestras ovejas, y haced lo que ha salido de vuestra boca.
24 Build cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which has proceeded out of your mouth.”
25 И рекоше Мојсију синови Гадови и синови Рувимови говорећи: Слуге ће твоје учинити како господар наш заповеда.
25 Y hablaron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén á Moisés, diciendo: Tus siervos harán como mi señor ha mandado.
25 The children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, “Your servants will do as my lord commands.
26 Деца наша и жене наше, стада наша и сва стока наша овде ће остати у градовима галадским;
26 Nuestros niños, nuestras mujeres, nuestros ganados, y todas nuestras bestias, estarán ahí en las ciudades de Galaad;
26 Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our livestock shall be there in the cities of Gilead;
27 а слуге ће твоје прећи сваки наоружан, да се бије пред Господом, као што говори господар наш.
27 Y tus siervos, armados todos de guerra, pasarán delante de Jehová á la guerra, de la manera que mi señor dice.
27 but your servants will pass over, every man who is armed for war, before Yahweh to battle, as my lord says.”
28 Тада Мојсије заповеди за њих Елеазару свештенику и Исусу сину Навином и главарима од домова отачких међу синовима Израиљевим,
28 Entonces los encomendó Moisés á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á Josué hijo de Nun, y á los príncipes de los padres de las tribus de los hijos de Israel.
28 So Moses commanded concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ households of the tribes of the children of Israel.
29 и рече им: Ако пређу синови Гадови и синови Рувимови с вама преко Јордана, сви оружани, да се бију пред Господом, и кад вам буде земља покорена, онда подајте њима земљу галадску у наследство.
29 Y díjoles Moisés: Si los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, pasaren con vosotros el Jordán, armados todos de guerra delante de Jehová, luego que el país fuere sojuzgado delante de vosotros, les daréis la tierra de Galaad en posesión:
29 Moses said to them, “If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man who is armed to battle before Yahweh, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;
30 Ако ли не пређу с вама под оружјем, онда нека им буде наследство међу вама у земљи хананској.
30 Mas si no pasaren armados con vosotros, entonces tendrán posesión entre vosotros en la tierra de Canaán.
30 but if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.”
31 И одговорише синови Гадови и синови Рувимови говорећи: Како је Господ казао слугама твојим тако ћемо учинити.
31 Y los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén respondieron, diciendo: Haremos lo que Jehová ha dicho á tus siervos.
31 The children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, “As Yahweh has said to your servants, so will we do.
32 Прећи ћемо под оружјем пред Господом у земљу хананску, а наше наследство да буде с ове стране Јордана.
32 Nosotros pasaremos armados delante de Jehová á la tierra de Canaán, y la posesión de nuestra heredad será de esta parte del Jordán.
32 We will pass over armed before Yahweh into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.”
33 И даде Мојсије синовима Гадовим и синовима Рувимовим и половини племена Манасије сина Јосифовог царство Сиона, цара аморејског и царство Ога, цара васанског, земљу и градове по међама њеним, градове оне земље унаоколо.
33 Así les dió Moisés á los hijos de Gad y á los hijos de Rubén, y á la media tribu de Manasés hijo de José, el reino de Sehón rey Amorrheo, y el reino de Og rey de Basán, la tierra con sus ciudades y términos, las ciudades del país alrededor.
33 Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan; the land, according to its cities and borders, even the cities of the surrounding land.
34 И саградише синови Гадови Девон и Атарот и Ароир.
34 Y los hijos de Gad edificaron á Dibón, y á Ataroth, y á Aroer,
34 The children of Gad built Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer,
35 И Атрот-Софан и Јазир и Јогвеју,
35 Y á Atroth-sophan, y á Jazer, y á Jogbaa,
35 Atroth-shophan, Jazer, Jogbehah,
36 и Вет-Нимру и Вет-Аран, градове тврде, и торове за стоку.
36 Y á Beth-nimra, y á Betharán: ciudades fuertes, y también majadas para ovejas.
36 Beth Nimrah, and Beth Haran: fortified cities and folds for sheep.
37 А синови Рувимови саградише Есевон и Елеалију и Киријатајим,
37 Y los hijos de Rubén edificaron á Hesbón, y á Eleale, y á Kiriathaim,
37 The children of Reuben built Heshbon, Elealeh, Kiriathaim,
38 и Навон и Валмеон преденувши им имена, и Сивму; и надеше друга имена градовима које саградише.
38 Y á Nebo, y á Baal-meón, (mudados los nombres), y á Sibma: y pusieron nombres á las ciudades que edificaron.
38 Nebo, and Baal Meon, (their names being changed), and Sibmah. They gave other names to the cities which they built.
39 А синови Махира, сина Манасијиног отидоше у Галад, и узеше га, и изагнаше Амореје који беху онде.
39 Y los hijos de Machîr hijo de Manasés fueron á Galaad, y tomáronla, y echaron al Amorrheo que estaba en ella.
39 The children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, took it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were therein.
40 И Мојсије даде Галад Махиру сину Манасијином, који се онде насели.
40 Y Moisés dió Galaad á Machîr hijo de Manasés, el cual habitó en ella.
40 Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh; and he lived therein.
41 И Јаир, син Манасијин отиде и узе села њихова и прозва их села Јаирова.
41 También Jair hijo de Manasés fué y tomó sus aldeas, y púsoles por nombre Havoth-jair.
41 Jair the son of Manasseh went and took its villages, and called them Havvoth Jair.
42 И Навав отиде и узе Кенат са селима његовим, и прозва га Навав по имену свом.
42 Asimismo Noba fué y tomó á Kenath y sus aldeas, y llamóle Noba, conforme á su nombre.
42 Nobah went and took Kenath and its villages, and called it Nobah, after his own name.

How these were chosen
“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
