Synodal Russian Synodal Bible (1876)
RV1909 Reina-Valera 1909
1 CUANDO te sentares á comer con algún señor, considera bien lo que estuviere delante de ti;
2 Y pon cuchillo á tu garganta, si tienes gran apetito.
6 Не вкушай пищи у человека завистливого и не прельщайся лакомыми яствами его;
13 Не оставляй юноши без наказания: если накажешь его розгою, он не умрет;
15 Сын мой! если сердце твое будет мудро, то порадуется и мое сердце;
15 Hijo mío, si tu corazón fuere sabio, también á mí se me alegrará el corazón;
17 Да не завидует сердце твое грешникам, но да пребудет оно во все дни в страхе Господнем;
19 Oye tú, hijo mío, y sé sabio, y endereza tu corazón al camino.
23 Compra la verdad, y no la vendas; la sabiduría, la enseñanza, y la inteligencia.
26 Dame, hijo mío, tu corazón, y miren tus ojos por mis caminos.
27 потому что блудница - глубокая пропасть, и чужая жена - тесный колодезь;
29 ¿Para quién será el ay? ¿para quién el ay? ¿para quién las rencillas? ¿para quién las quejas? ¿para quién las heridas en balde? ¿para quién lo amoratado de los ojos?
31 No mires al vino cuando rojea, cuando resplandece su color en el vaso: éntrase suavemente;
32 впоследствии, как змей, оно укусит, и ужалит, как аспид;
33 Tus ojos mirarán las extrañas, y tu corazón hablará perversidades.

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations).

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
