ULB Unlocked Literal Bible WEB World English Bible (Classic, with Deuterocanon) 1 On that day Yahweh with his hard, great and fierce sword will punish Leviathan the slithering serpent, Leviathan the squirming serpent, and he will kill the monster that is in the sea.
1 In that day, Yahweh with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan, the fleeing serpent, and leviathan, the twisted serpent; and he will kill the dragon that is in the sea.
2 In that day: A vineyard of wine, sing of it. 2 En aquel día cantad de la viña del vino rojo.
2 In that day, sing to her, “A pleasant vineyard!
3 “I, Yahweh, am its protector; I water it every moment. I guard it night and day so no one will hurt it. 3 Yo Jehová la guardo, cada momento la regaré; guardaréla de noche y de día, porque nadie la visite.
3 I, Yahweh, am its keeper. I will water it every moment. Lest anyone damage it, I will keep it night and day.
4 I am not angry, Oh, that there were briers and thorns! In battle I would march against them; I would burn them all together; 4 No hay en mí enojo.
4 Wrath is not in me, but if I should find briers and thorns, I would do battle! I would march on them and I would burn them together.
5 unless they grasp my protection and make peace with me; let them make peace with me. 5 ¿O forzará [alguien] mi fortaleza? Haga conmigo paz, [sí], haga paz conmigo.
5 Or else let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me. Let him make peace with me.”
6 In the coming day, Jacob will take root; Israel will blossom and bud; and they will fill the surface of the ground with fruit.” 6 Días vendrán cuando Jacob echará raíces, florecerá y echará renuevos Israel, y la haz del mundo se henchirá de fruto.
6 In days to come, Jacob will take root. Israel will blossom and bud. They will fill the surface of the world with fruit.
7 Has Yahweh attacked Jacob and Israel as he attacked those nations who attacked them? Have Jacob and Israel been killed as in the slaughter of those nations that were killed by them?
7 Has he struck them as he struck those who struck them? Or are they killed like those who killed them were killed?
8 In exact measure you have contended, sending Jacob and Israel away; he drove them away with his fierce breath in the day of the east wind.
8 In measure, when you send them away, you contend with them. He has removed them with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.
9 So in this way, the iniquity of Jacob will be atoned for, for this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin: when he will make all the altar stones as chalk and crushed to pieces, and no Asherah poles or incense altars will remain standing.
9 Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherah poles and the incense altars shall rise no more.
10 For the fortified city is desolate, the habitation is deserted and forsaken like the wilderness. There a calf feeds, and there he lies down and consumes its branches.
10 For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness. The calf will feed there, and there he will lie down, and consume its branches.
11 When the boughs are withered, they will be broken off. Women will come and make fires with them, for this is not a people of understanding. Therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them, and he who made them will not be merciful to them.
11 When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.
12 It will come about on that day that Yahweh will thresh from the Euphrates River to the Wadi of Egypt and you, the people of Israel, will be gathered together one by one.
12 It will happen in that day that Yahweh will thresh from the flowing stream of the Euphrates to the brook of Egypt; and you will be gathered one by one, children of Israel.
13 On that day a great trumpet will be blown; and the perishing ones in the land of Assyria will come, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, they will worship Yahweh on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
13 It will happen in that day that a great trumpet will be blown; and those who were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and those who were outcasts in the land of Egypt, shall come; and they will worship Yahweh in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
