1 Make your request to the Lord for rain in the time of the spring rains, even to the Lord who makes the thunder-flames; and he will give them showers of rain, to every man grass in the field.
1 PEDID á Jehová lluvia en la sazón tardía: Jehová hará relámpagos, y os dará lluvia abundante, y hierba en el campo á cada uno.
1 Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.
2 For the images have said what is not true, and the readers of signs have seen deceit; they have given accounts of false dreams, they give comfort to no purpose: so they go out of the way like sheep, they are troubled because they have no keeper.
2 Porque las imágenes han hablado vanidad, y los adivinos han visto mentira, y han hablado sueños vanos, en vano consuelan: por lo cual se fueron ellos como ovejas, fueron humillados porque no [tuvieron] pastor.
2 For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie; and they have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd.
3 My wrath is burning against the keepers of the flock, and I will send punishment on the he-goats: for the Lord of armies takes care of his flock, the people of Judah, and will make them like the horse of his pride in the fight.
3 Contra los pastores se ha encendido mi enojo, y castigaré los machos de cabrío: mas Jehová de los ejércitos visitará su rebaño, la casa de Judá, y tornarálos como su caballo de honor en la guerra.
3 My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the male goats, for Yahweh of Armies has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as his majestic horse in the battle.
4 From him will come the keystone, from him the nail, from him the bow of war, from him will come every ruler;
4 De él saldrá el ángulo, de él la clavija, de él el arco de la guerra, de él también todo apremiador.
4 From him will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together.
5 Together they will be like men of war, crushing down their haters into the earth of the streets in the fight; they will make war because the Lord is with them: and the horsemen will be shamed.
5 Y serán como valientes, que en la batalla pisan [al enemigo] en el lodo de las calles; y pelearán, porque Jehová [será] con ellos; y los que cabalgan en caballos serán avergonzados.
5 They will be as mighty men, treading down muddy streets in the battle. They will fight, because Yahweh is with them. The riders on horses will be confounded.
6 And I will make the children of Judah strong, and I will be the saviour of the children of Joseph, and I will make them come back again, for I have had mercy on them: they will be as if I had not given them up: for I am the Lord their God and I will give them an answer.
6 Porque yo fortificaré la casa de Judá, y guardaré la casa de José; y harélos volver, porque de ellos tendré piedad; y serán como si no los hubiera desechado; porque yo soy Jehová su Dios, que los oiré.
6 “I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, for I have mercy on them. They will be as though I had not cast them off, for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them.
7 And Ephraim will be like a man of war, and their hearts will be glad as with wine; and their children will see it with joy; their hearts will be glad in the Lord.
7 Y será Ephraim como valiente, y alegraráse su corazón como de vino: sus hijos también verán y se alegrarán; su corazón se gozará en Jehová.
7 Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine. Yes, their children will see it and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh.
8 With the sound of the pipe I will get them together; for I have given the price to make them free: and they will be increased as they were increased.
8 Yo les silbaré y los juntaré, porque los he redimido; y serán multiplicados como fueron multiplicados.
8 I will signal for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them. They will increase as they were before.
9 Though I had them planted among the peoples, they will keep me in mind in far countries: and they will take care of their children and will come back.
9 Bien que los sembraré entre los pueblos, aun en lejanos países se acordarán de mí; y vivirán con sus hijos, y tornarán.
9 I will sow them among the peoples. They will remember me in far countries. They will live with their children and will return.
10 And I will make them come back out of the land of Egypt, and will get them together out of Assyria; and I will take them into the land of Gilead, and it will not be wide enough for them.
10 Porque yo los tornaré de la tierra de Egipto, y los recogeré de la Asiria; y traerélos á la tierra de Galaad y del Líbano, y no les bastará.
10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria. I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and there won’t be room enough for them.
11 And they will go through the sea of Egypt, and all the deep waters of the Nile will become dry: and the pride of Assyria will be made low, and the power of Egypt will be taken away.
11 Y la tribulación pasará por la mar, y en la mar herirá las ondas, y se secarán todas las honduras del río: y la soberbia del Assur será derribada, y se perderá el cetro de Egipto.
11 He will pass through the sea of affliction, and will strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile will dry up; and the pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart.
12 And their strength will be in the Lord; and their pride will be in his name, says the Lord.
12 Y yo los fortificaré en Jehová, y caminarán en su nombre, dice Jehová.
12 I will strengthen them in Yahweh. They will walk up and down in his name,” says Yahweh.
