LXXUP Septuaginta de Brenton actualizada WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 And David took counsel with the captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, [even with] every commander.
1 David consulted with the captains of thousands and of hundreds, even with every leader.
2 And David said to the whole congregation of Israel, If it [seem] good to you, and it should be prospered by the Lord our God, let us send to our brethren that are left in all the land of Israel, and let the priests the Levites who are with them in the cities of their possession [come], and let them be gathered to us. 2 Y dijo David á todo el congreso de Israel: Si os parece bien y de Jehová nuestro Dios, enviaremos á todas partes [á llamar] nuestros hermanos que han quedado en todas las tierras de Israel, y á los sacerdotes y Levitas [que están] con ellos en sus ciudades y ejidos que se junten con nosotros;
2 David said to all the assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you, and if it is of Yahweh our God, let’s send word everywhere to our brothers who are left in all the land of Israel, with whom the priests and Levites are in their cities that have pasture lands, that they may gather themselves to us.
3 And let us bring over to us the ark of our God; for men have not inquired [at] it since the days of Saul.
3 Also, let’s bring the ark of our God back to us again, for we didn’t seek it in the days of Saul.”
4 And all the congregation said that they would do thus; for the saying was right in the eyes of all the people.
4 All the assembly said that they would do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
5 So David assembled all Israel, from the borders of Egypt even to the entering in of Hamath, to bring in the ark of God from the city of Jearim.
5 So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor River of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring God’s ark from Kiriath Jearim.
6 And David brought it up: and all Israel went up to the city of David, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of the Lord God who sits between the cherubim, whose name is called [on it]. 6 Y subió David con todo Israel á Baala de Chîriath-jearim, que es en Judá, para pasar de allí el arca de Jehová Dios que habita entre los querubines, sobre la cual su nombre es invocado.
6 David went up with all Israel to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath Jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there God Yahweh’s ark that sits above the cherubim, that is called by the Name.
7 And they set the ark of God on a new wagon [brought] out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzzah and his brethren drove the wagon.
7 They carried God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house; and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.
8 And David and all Israel [were] playing before the Lord with all their might, and [that] together with singers, and with harps, and with lutes, with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
8 David and all Israel played before God with all their might, even with songs, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with cymbals, and with trumpets.
9 And they came as far as the threshing floor: and Uzzah put forth his hand to hold the ark, because the bullock moved it from [its place]. 9 Y como llegaron á la era de Chidón, Uzza extendió su mano al arca para tenerla, porque los bueyes se desmandaban.
9 When they came to Chidon’s threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled.
10 And the Lord was very angry with Uzzah, and smote him there, because of his stretching forth his hand upon the ark: and he died there before God. 10 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uzza, é hiriólo, porque había extendido su mano al arca: y murió allí delante de Dios.
10 Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzza, and he struck him because he put his hand on the ark; and he died there before God.
11 And David was dispirited, because the Lord [had] made a breach on Uzzah: and he called that place the Breach of Uzzah until this day.
11 David was displeased, because Yahweh had broken out against Uzza. He called that place Perez Uzza, to this day.
12 And David feared God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God in to myself?
12 David was afraid of God that day, saying, “How can I bring God’s ark home to me?”
13 So David brought not the ark home to himself into the city of David, but he turned it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
13 So David didn’t move the ark with him into David’s city, but carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.
14 And the ark of God abode in the house of Obed-edom three months: and God blessed Obed-edom and all that he had.
14 God’s ark remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom’s house and all that he had.
