1 And it came to pass afterwards, that David smote the Philistines, and routed them, and took Geth and its villages out of the hand of the Philistines.
1 DESPUÉS de estas cosas aconteció que David hirió á los Filisteos, y los humilló; y tomó á Gath y sus villas de mano de los Filisteos.
2 And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, [and] tributaries.
2 También hirió á Moab; y los Moabitas fueron siervos de David trayéndole presentes.
3 And David smote Adraazar king of Suba of Emath, as he was going to establish power toward the river Euphrates.
3 Asimismo hirió David á Adarezer rey de Soba, en Hamath, yendo él á asegurar su dominio al río de Eufrates.
4 And David took of them a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand infantry: and David houghed all the chariot [horses], but there were reserved of them a hundred chariots.
4 Y tomóles David mil carros, y siete mil de á caballo, y veinte mil hombres de á pie: y desjarretó David los caballos de todos los carros, excepto los de cien carros que dejó.
5 And the Syrian came from Damascus to help Adraazar king of Suba; and David smote of the Syrian [army] twenty and two thousand men.
5 Y viniendo los Siros de Damasco en ayuda de Adarezer rey de Soba, David hirió de los Siros veintidós mil hombres.
6 And David put a garrison in Syria near Damascus; and they became tributary servants to David: and the Lord delivered David wherever he went.
6 Y puso David [guarnición] en Siria la de Damasco, y los Siros fueron hechos siervos de David, trayéndole presentes: porque Jehová salvaba á David donde quiera que iba.
7 And David took the golden collars that were on the servants of Adraazar, and brought them to Jerusalem.
7 Tomó también David los escudos de oro que llevaban los siervos de Adarezer, y trájolos á Jerusalem.
8 And David took out of Matabeth, and out of the chief cities of Adraazar very much brass: of this Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the brazen vessels.
8 Asimismo de Thibath y de Chûn ciudades de Adarezer, tomó David muy mucho metal, de que Salomón hizo el mar de bronce, las columnas, y vasos de bronce.
9 And Thoa king of Emath heard that David had smitten the whole force of Adraazar king of Suba.
9 Y oyendo Tou rey de Hamath, que David había deshecho todo el ejército de Adarezer, rey de Soba,
10 And he sent Aduram his son to king David to ask how he was, and to congratulate him because he had fought against Adraazar, and smitten him; for Thoa was the enemy of Adraazar.
10 Envió á Adoram su hijo al rey David, á saludarle y á bendecirle por haber peleado con Adarezer, y haberle vencido; porque Tou tenía guerra con Adarezer. [Envióle] también toda suerte de vasos de oro, de plata y de metal;
11 And all the golden and silver and brazen vessels, even these king David consecrated to the Lord, with the silver and the gold which he took from all the nations; from Idumæa, and Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalec.
11 Los cuales el rey David dedicó á Jehová, con la plata y oro que había tomado de todas las naciones, de Edom, de Moab, de los hijos de Ammón, de los Filisteos, y de Amalec.
12 And Abesa son of Saruia smote the Idumeans in the valley of Salt, eighteen thousand.
12 A más de esto Abisai hijo de Sarvia hirió en el valle de la Sal dieciocho mil Idumeos.
13 And he put garrisons in the valley; and all the Idumæans became David's servants: and the Lord delivered David wherever he went.
13 Y puso guarnición en Edom, y todos los Idumeos fueron siervos de David: porque Jehová guardaba á David donde quiera que iba.
14 So David reigned over all Israel; and he executed judgment and justice to all his people.
14 Y reinó David sobre todo Israel, y hacía juicio y justicia á todo su pueblo.
15 And Joab the son of Saruia [was] over the army, and Josaphat the son of Achilud [was] recorder.
15 Y Joab hijo de Sarvia era general del ejército; y Josaphat hijo de Ahilud, canciller;
16 And Sadoc son of Achitob, and Achimelech son of Abiathar, [were] the priests; and Susa [was] the scribe;
16 Y Sadoc hijo de Achîtob, y Abimelec hijo de Abiathar, eran sacerdotes; y Sausa, secretario;
17 and Banæas the son of Jodae [was] over the Cherethite and the Phelethite, and the sons of David were the chief deputies of the king.
17 Y Benaías hijo de Joiada era sobre los Ceretheos y Peletheos; y los hijos de David [eran] los príncipes cerca del rey.
