1 And David spoke to Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul.
1 Y HABLÓ David á Jehová las palabras de este cántico, el día que Jehová le había librado de la mano de todos sus enemigos, y de la mano de Saúl.
1 David spoke to Yahweh the words of this song in the day that Yahweh delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,
2 And he said, Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
2 Y dijo: Jehová es mi roca, y mi fortaleza, y mi libertador;
2 and he said: “Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, even mine;
3 God is my rock, in him will I trust — My shield, and the horn of my salvation, My high tower, and my refuge, My saviour: thou wilt save me from violence.
3 Dios de mi roca, en él confiaré: mi escudo, y el cuerno de mi salud, mi fortaleza, y mi refugio; mi salvador, que me librarás de violencia.
3 God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.
4 I will call upon Jehovah, who is to be praised; So shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4 Invocaré á Jehová, digno de ser loado, y seré salvo de mis enemigos.
4 I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
5 For the waves of death encompassed me, Torrents of Belial made me afraid.
5 Cuando me cercaron ondas de muerte, y arroyos de iniquidad me asombraron,
5 For the waves of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
6 The bands of Sheol surrounded me; The cords of death encountered me;
6 Me rodearon los dolores del infierno, y me tomaron descuidado lazos de muerte.
6 The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me.
7 In my distress I called upon Jehovah, And I cried to my God; And he heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry [came] into his ears.
7 Tuve angustia, invoqué á Jehová, y clamé á mi Dios: y él oyó mi voz desde su templo; [llegó] mi clamor á sus oídos.
7 In my distress, I called on Yahweh. Yes, I called to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry came into his ears.
8 Then the earth shook, and quaked; The foundations of the heavens trembled And shook because he was wroth.
8 La tierra se removió, y tembló; los fundamentos de los cielos fueron movidos, y se estremecieron, porque él se airó.
8 Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.
9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, And fire out of his mouth devoured: Coals burned forth from it.
9 Subió humo de sus narices, y de su boca fuego consumidor, por el cual se encendieron carbones.
9 Smoke went up out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.
10 And he bowed the heavens, and came down; And darkness was under his feet.
10 Y abajó los cielos, y descendió: una oscuridad debajo de sus pies.
10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.
11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly; And he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
11 Subió sobre el querubín, y voló: aparecióse sobre las alas del viento.
11 He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he was seen on the wings of the wind.
12 And he made darkness round about him a tent, Gatherings of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
12 Puso tinieblas alrededor de sí [á modo de] pabellones; aguas negras y espesas nubes.
12 He made darkness a shelter around himself, gathering of waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
13 From the brightness before him Burned forth coals of fire.
13 Del resplandor de su presencia se encendieron ascuas ardientes.
13 At the brightness before him, coals of fire were kindled.
14 Jehovah thundered from the heavens, And the Most High uttered his voice.
14 Jehová tronó desde los cielos, y el Altísimo dió su voz;
14 Yahweh thundered from heaven. The Most High uttered his voice.
15 And he sent arrows, and scattered [mine enemies]; Lightning, and discomfited them.
15 Arrojó saetas, y desbaratólos; relampagueó, y consumiólos.
15 He sent out arrows and scattered them, lightning and confused them.
16 And the beds of the sea were seen, The foundations of the world were uncovered At the rebuke of Jehovah, At the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
16 Entonces aparecieron los manantiales de la mar, y los fundamentos del mundo fueron descubiertos, á la reprensión de Jehová, al resoplido del aliento de su nariz.
16 Then the channels of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare by Yahweh’s rebuke, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
17 He reached forth from above, he took me, He drew me out of great waters;
17 Extendió [su mano] de lo alto, y arrebatóme, y sacóme de copiosas aguas.
17 He sent from on high and he took me. He drew me out of many waters.
18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, From them that hated me; For they were mightier than I.
18 Libróme de fuertes enemigos, de aquellos que me aborrecían, los cuales eran más fuertes que yo.
18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
19 They encountered me in the day of my calamity; But Jehovah was my stay.
19 Asaltáronme en el día de mi calamidad; mas Jehová fué mi sostén.
19 They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Yahweh was my support.
20 And he brought me forth into a large place; He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20 Sacóme á anchura; libróme, porque puso su voluntad en mí.
20 He also brought me out into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
21 Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
21 Remuneróme Jehová conforme á mi justicia; y conforme á la limpieza de mis manos, me dió la paga.
21 Yahweh rewarded me according to my righteousness. He rewarded me according to the cleanness of my hands.
22 For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.
22 Porque yo guardé los caminos de Jehová, y no me aparté impíamente de mi Dios.
22 For I have kept Yahweh’s ways, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23 For all his ordinances were before me, And his statutes, I did not depart from them,
23 Porque delante de mí tengo todas sus ordenanzas; y [atento á] sus fueros, no me retiraré de ellos.
23 For all his ordinances were before me. As for his statutes, I didn’t depart from them.
24 And I was upright before him, And kept myself from mine iniquity.
24 Y fuí íntegro para con él, y guardéme de mi iniquidad.
24 I was also perfect toward him. I kept myself from my iniquity.
25 And Jehovah hath recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to my cleanness in his sight.
25 Remuneróme por tanto Jehová conforme á mi justicia, y conforme á mi limpieza delante de sus ojos.
25 Therefore Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, According to my cleanness in his eyesight.
26 With the gracious thou dost shew thyself gracious; With the upright man thou dost shew thyself upright;
26 Con el bueno eres benigno, y con el íntegro te muestras íntegro;
26 With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect.
27 With the pure thou dost shew thyself pure; And with the perverse thou dost shew thyself contrary.
27 Limpio eres para con el limpio, mas con el perverso eres rígido.
27 With the pure you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.
28 And the afflicted people thou dost save; And thine eyes are upon the haughty, [whom] thou bringest down.
28 Y tú salvas al pueblo humilde; mas tus ojos sobre los altivos, para abatirlos.
28 You will save the afflicted people, but your eyes are on the arrogant, that you may bring them down.
29 For thou art my lamp, Jehovah; And Jehovah enlighteneth my darkness.
29 Porque tú eres mi lámpara, oh Jehová: Jehová da luz á mis tinieblas.
29 For you are my lamp, Yahweh. Yahweh will light up my darkness.
30 For by thee I have run through a troop; By my God have I leaped over a wall.
30 Porque en ti romperé ejércitos, y con mi Dios saltaré las murallas.
30 For by you, I run against a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
31 As for God, his way is perfect; The word of Jehovah is tried: He is a shield to all that trust in him.
31 Dios, perfecto su camino: la palabra de Jehová purificada, escudo es de todos los que en él esperan.
31 As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh’s word is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
32 For who is God, save Jehovah? And who is a rock, save our God?
32 Porque ¿qué Dios hay sino Jehová? ¿ó quién es fuerte sino nuestro Dios?
32 For who is God, besides Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God?
33 God is my strong fortress, And he maketh my way perfectly smooth.
33 Dios es el que con virtud me corrobora, y el que despeja mi camino;
33 God is my strong fortress. He makes my way perfect.
34 He maketh my feet like hinds' [feet], And setteth me upon my high places.
34 El que hace mis pies como de ciervas, y el que me asienta en mis alturas;
34 He makes his feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me on my high places.
35 He teacheth my hands to war, And mine arms bend a bow of brass.
35 El que enseña mis manos para la pelea, y [da que] con mis brazos quiebre el arco de acero.
35 He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
36 And thou didst give me the shield of thy salvation, And thy condescending gentleness hath made me great.
36 Tú me diste asimismo el escudo de tu salud, y tu benignidad me ha acrecentado.
36 You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your gentleness has made me great.
37 Thou enlargedst my steps under me; And mine ankles did not slip.
37 Tú ensanchaste mis pasos debajo de mí, para que no titubeasen mis rodillas.
37 You have enlarged my steps under me. My feet have not slipped.
38 I pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them, And I turned not again till they were consumed.
38 Perseguiré á mis enemigos, y quebrantarélos; y no me volveré hasta que los acabe.
38 I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them. I didn’t turn again until they were consumed.
39 And I have consumed them and have crushed them, and they rose not again; Yea, they fell under my feet.
39 Los consumiré, y los heriré, y no se levantarán; y caerán debajo de mis pies.
39 I have consumed them, and struck them through, so that they can’t arise. Yes, they have fallen under my feet.
40 And thou girdedst me with strength to battle: Thou didst subdue under me those that rose up against me.
40 Ceñísteme de fortaleza para la batalla, y postraste debajo de mí los que contra mí se levantaron.
40 For you have armed me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
41 And mine enemies didst thou make to turn their backs unto me, And those that hated me I destroyed.
41 Tú me diste la cerviz de mis enemigos, de mis aborrecedores, y que yo los destruyese.
41 You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
42 They looked, and there was none to save — Unto Jehovah, and he answered them not.
42 Miraron, y no hubo quien los librase; á Jehová, mas no les respondió.
42 They looked, but there was no one to save; even to Yahweh, but he didn’t answer them.
43 And I did beat them small as the dust of the earth, I trod them as the mire of the streets; I stamped upon them.
43 Yo los desmenuzaré como polvo de la tierra; hollarélos como á lodo de las plazas, y los disiparé.
43 Then I beat them as small as the dust of the earth. I crushed them as the mire of the streets, and spread them abroad.
44 And thou hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, Thou hast kept me to be head of the nations: A people I knew not doth serve me:
44 Tú me libraste de contiendas de pueblos: tú me guardaste para que fuese cabeza de gentes: pueblos que no conocía, me sirvieron.
44 You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people. You have kept me to be the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.
45 Strangers come cringing unto me: At the hearing of the ear, they obey me.
45 Los extraños titubeaban á mí: en oyendo, me obedecían.
45 The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me.
46 Strangers have faded away, And they come trembling forth from their close places.
46 Los extraños desfallecían, y temblaban en sus escondrijos.
46 The foreigners will fade away, and will come trembling out of their close places.
47 Jehovah liveth; and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God, the rock of my salvation,
47 Viva Jehová, y sea bendita mi roca; sea ensalzado el Dios, la roca de mi salvamento:
47 Yahweh lives! Blessed be my rock! Exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,
48 The God who hath avenged me, And hath brought the peoples under me.
48 El Dios que me ha vengado, y sujeta los pueblos debajo de mí;
48 even the God who executes vengeance for me, who brings down peoples under me,
49 He brought me forth from mine enemies: Yea, thou hast lifted me up above them that rose up against me; From the man of violence hast thou delivered me.
49 Y que me saca de entre mis enemigos: tú me sacaste en alto de entre los que se levantaron contra mí: librásteme del varón de iniquidades.
49 who brings me away from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
50 Therefore will I give thanks to thee, Jehovah, among the nations, And will sing psalms to thy name.
50 Por tanto yo te confesaré entre las gentes, oh Jehová, y cantaré á tu nombre.
50 Therefore I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
51 [It is he] who giveth great deliverances to his king, And sheweth loving-kindness to his anointed, To David, and to his seed for evermore.
51 El que engrandece las saludes de su rey, y hace misericordia á su ungido, á David, y á su simiente, para siempre.
51 He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.”
