Darby Traducción de Darby WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 And we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as Jehovah had said unto me; and we went round mount Seir many days.
1 Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea, as Yahweh spoke to me; and we encircled Mount Seir many days.
2 And Jehovah spoke to me, saying, 2 Y Jehová me habló, diciendo:
2 Yahweh spoke to me, saying,
3 Ye have gone round this mountain long enough: turn you northward.
3 “You have encircled this mountain long enough. Turn northward.
4 And command the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the border of your brethren the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir; and they will be afraid of you; and ye shall be very guarded: 4 Y manda al pueblo, diciendo: Pasando vosotros por el término de vuestros hermanos los hijos de Esaú, que habitan en Seir, ellos tendrán miedo de vosotros; mas vosotros guardaos mucho:
4 Command the people, saying, ‘You are to pass through the border of your brothers, the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. Therefore be careful.
5 attack them not; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as a foot-breadth; for I have given mount Seir as a possession unto Esau.
5 Don’t contend with them; for I will not give you any of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau for a possession.
6 Ye shall buy of them food for money, that ye may eat; and water shall ye also buy of them for money, that ye may drink; 6 Compraréis de ellos por dinero las viandas, y comeréis; y también compraréis de ellos el agua, y beberéis:
6 You shall purchase food from them for money, that you may eat. You shall also buy water from them for money, that you may drink.’”
7 for Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee in all the work of thy hand. He hath known thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years hath Jehovah thy God been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.
7 For Yahweh your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has known your walking through this great wilderness. These forty years, Yahweh your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.
8 And we passed by from our brethren the children of Esau, who dwelt in Seir, by the plain, by Elath, and by Ezion-geber, and we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
8 So we passed by from our brothers, the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir, from the way of the Arabah from Elath and from Ezion Geber. We turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
9 And Jehovah said to me, Distress not the Moabites, neither engage with them in battle; for I will not give thee of their land a possession; for unto the children of Lot have I given Ar as a possession.
9 Yahweh said to me, “Don’t bother Moab, neither contend with them in battle; for I will not give you any of his land for a possession, because I have given Ar to the children of Lot for a possession.”
10 (The Emim dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall as the Anakim.
10 (The Emim lived there before, a great and numerous people, and tall as the Anakim.
11 They also are reckoned as giants like the Anakim; but the Moabites call them Emim.
11 These also are considered to be Rephaim, as the Anakim; but the Moabites call them Emim.
12 And in Seir dwelt the Horites in times past; and the children of Esau dispossessed them, and destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did to the land of their possession, which Jehovah gave to them.) 12 Y en Seir habitaron antes los Horeos, á los cuales echaron los hijos de Esaú; y los destruyeron de delante de sí, y moraron en lugar de ellos; como hizo Israel en la tierra de su posesión que les dió Jehová.)
12 The Horites also lived in Seir in the past, but the children of Esau succeeded them. They destroyed them from before them, and lived in their place, as Israel did to the land of his possession, which Yahweh gave to them.)
13 Now rise up, and pass over the torrent Zered. And we passed over the torrent Zered.
13 “Now rise up and cross over the brook Zered.” We went over the brook Zered.
14 Now the days in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we had come over the torrent Zered, were thirty-eight years; until the whole generation of the men of war was consumed from the midst of the camp, as Jehovah had sworn unto them.
14 The days in which we came from Kadesh Barnea until we had come over the brook Zered were thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the middle of the camp, as Yahweh swore to them.
15 Moreover the hand of Jehovah was against them to destroy them from the midst of the camp, until they were consumed.
15 Moreover Yahweh’s hand was against them, to destroy them from the middle of the camp, until they were consumed.
16 And it came to pass when all the men of war were consumed, having died off from among the people, 16 Y aconteció que cuando se hubieron acabado de morir todos los hombres de guerra de entre el pueblo,
16 So, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
17 that Jehovah spoke to me, saying, 17 Jehová me habló, diciendo:
17 Yahweh spoke to me, saying,
18 Thou art to pass this day over the border of Moab, [which is] Ar, 18 Tú pasarás hoy el término de Moab, á Ar,
18 “You are to pass over Ar, the border of Moab, today.
19 and come near over against the children of Ammon; thou shalt not distress them nor attack them; for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon a possession; for unto the children of Lot have I given it as a possession.
19 When you come near the border of the children of Ammon, don’t bother them, nor contend with them; for I will not give you any of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession, because I have given it to the children of Lot for a possession.”
20 (That also is reckoned a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in time past, and the Ammonites call them Zamzummim; 20 (Por tierra de gigantes fué también ella tenida: habitaron en ella gigantes en otro tiempo, á los cuales los Ammonitas llamaban Zomzommeos;
20 (That also is considered a land of Rephaim. Rephaim lived there in the past, but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim,
21 a people great, and many, and tall as the Anakim; and Jehovah destroyed them before them, and they dispossessed them, and dwelt in their stead; 21 Pueblo grande, y numeroso, y alto, como los Anaceos; á los cuales Jehová destruyó de delante de los Ammonitas, quienes les sucedieron, y habitaron en su lugar:
21 a great people, many, and tall, as the Anakim; but Yahweh destroyed them from before Israel, and they succeeded them, and lived in their place,
22 as he did to the children of Esau, who dwelt in Seir, from before whom he destroyed the Horites; and they dispossessed them, and dwelt in their stead, even to this day.
22 as he did for the children of Esau who dwell in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites from before them; and they succeeded them, and lived in their place even to this day.
23 And the Avvites who dwelt in the hamlets as far as Gazah — the Caphtorim, who came out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.) 23 Y á los Heveos que habitaban en Haserin hasta Gaza, los Caftoreos que salieron de Caftor los destruyeron, y habitaron en su lugar.)
23 Then the Avvim, who lived in villages as far as Gaza: the Caphtorim, who came out of Caphtor, destroyed them and lived in their place.)
24 Rise up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon. Behold, I have given into thy hand Sihon the king of Heshbon, the Amorite, and his land: begin, take possession, and engage with him in battle.
24 “Rise up, take your journey, and pass over the valley of the Arnon. Behold, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
25 This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the peoples under the whole heaven; who will hear report of thee, and will tremble, and quake because of thee.
25 Today I will begin to put the dread of you and the fear of you on the peoples who are under the whole sky, who shall hear the report of you, and shall tremble and be in anguish because of you.”
26 And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon the king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying, 26 Y envié mensajeros desde el desierto de Cademoth á Sehón rey de Hesbón, con palabras de paz, diciendo:
26 I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
27 Let me pass through thy land: by the highway alone will I go; I will neither turn to the right hand nor to the left.
27 “Let me pass through your land. I will go along by the highway. I will turn neither to the right hand nor to the left.
28 Thou shalt sell me food for money that I may eat; and thou shalt give me water for money that I may drink; I will only pass through on my feet, 28 La comida me venderás por dinero, y comeré: el agua también me darás por dinero, y beberé: solamente pasaré á pie;
28 You shall sell me food for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink. Just let me pass through on my feet,
29 — as the children of Esau who dwell in Seir, and the Moabites who dwell in Ar, did to me, — until I shall pass over the Jordan into the land which Jehovah our God giveth us. 29 Como lo hicieron conmigo los hijos de Esaú que habitaban en Seir, y los Moabitas que habitaban en Ar; hasta que pase el Jordán á la tierra que nos da Jehová nuestro Dios.
29 as the children of Esau who dwell in Seir, and the Moabites who dwell in Ar, did to me, until I pass over the Jordan into the land which Yahweh our God gives us.”
30 But Sihon the king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him; for Jehovah thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obdurate, that he might give him into thy hand, as it is this day.
30 But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him, for Yahweh your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as it is today.
31 And Jehovah said to me, Behold, I begin to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin, take possession, that thou mayest possess his land. 31 Y díjome Jehová: He aquí yo he comenzado á dar delante de ti á Sehón y á su tierra; comienza á tomar posesión, para que heredes su tierra.
31 Yahweh said to me, “Behold, I have begun to deliver up Sihon and his land before you. Begin to possess, that you may inherit his land.”
32 And Sihon came out against us for battle, he and all his people, to Jahaz.
32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Jahaz.
33 But Jehovah our God gave him up before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and his whole people.
33 Yahweh our God delivered him up before us; and we struck him, his sons, and all his people.
34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed every city, men, and women, and little ones: we let none escape.
34 We took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones. We left no one remaining.
35 Only the cattle we took as booty for ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.
35 Only the livestock we took for plunder for ourselves, with the plunder of the cities which we had taken.
36 From Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the ravine even to Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: Jehovah our God delivered all before us. 36 Desde Aroer, que está junto á la ribera del arroyo de Arnón, y la ciudad que está en el arroyo, hasta Galaad, no hubo ciudad que escapase de nosotros: todas las entregó Jehová nuestro Dios en nuestro poder.
36 From Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the valley, even to Gilead, there was not a city too high for us. Yahweh our God delivered up all before us.
37 Only thou didst not approach the land of the children of Ammon, the whole border of the river Jabbok, nor the cities of the mountain, nor to whatsoever Jehovah our God had forbidden us. 37 Solamente á la tierra de los hijos de Ammón no llegaste, ni á todo lo que está á la orilla del arroyo de Jaboc ni á las ciudades del monte, ni á [lugar] alguno que Jehová nuestro Dios había prohibido.
37 Only to the land of the children of Ammon you didn’t come near: all the banks of the river Jabbok, and the cities of the hill country, and wherever Yahweh our God forbade us.
