DRB Douay-Rheims (revisión Challoner), edición estadounidense de 1899 WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it: and they offered holocausts, and peace offerings before God. 1 ASÍ trajeron el arca de Dios, y asentáronla en medio de la tienda que David había tendido para ella: y ofrecieron holocaustos y pacíficos delante de Dios.
1 They brought in God’s ark, and set it in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.
2 And when David had made an end of offering holocausts, and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
2 When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in Yahweh’s name.
3 And he divided to all and every one, both men and women, a loaf of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and flour fried with oil.
3 He gave to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.
4 And he appointed Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to remember his works, and to glorify, and praise the Lord God of Israel.
4 He appointed some of the Levites to minister before Yahweh’s ark, and to commemorate, to thank, and to praise Yahweh, the God of Israel:
5 Asaph the chief, and next after him Zacharias: moreover Jahiel, and Semiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mathathias, and Eliab, and Banaias, and Obededom: and Jehiel over the instruments of psaltery, and harps: and Asaph sounded with cymbals: 5 Asaph el primero, el segundo después de él Zachârías, Jeiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Mathithías, Eliab, Benaías, Obed-edom, y Jehiel, con sus instrumentos de salterios y arpas; mas Asaph hacía sonido con címbalos:
5 Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with stringed instruments and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;
6 But Banaias, and Jaziel the priests, to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
6 with Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 In that day David made Asaph the chief to give praise to the Lord with his brethren.
7 Then on that day David first ordained giving of thanks to Yahweh by the hand of Asaph and his brothers.
8 Praise ye the Lord, and call upon his name: make known his doings among the nations.
8 Oh give thanks to Yahweh. Call on his name. Make what he has done known among the peoples.
9 Sing to him, yea, sing praises to him: and relate all his wondrous works.
9 Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.
10 Praise ye his holy name: let the heart I of them rejoice, that seek the Lord.
10 Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
11 Seek ye the Lord, and his power: seek ye his face evermore. 11 Buscad á Jehová y su fortaleza; buscad su rostro continuamente.
11 Seek Yahweh and his strength. Seek his face forever more.
12 Remember his wonderful works, which he hath done: his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.
12 Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
13 O ye seed of Israel his servants, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
14 He is Yahweh our God. His judgments are in all the earth.
15 Remember for ever his covenant: the word, which he commanded to a thousand generations. 15 Haced memoria de su alianza perpetuamente, y de la palabra que él mandó en mil generaciones;
15 Remember his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
16 The covenant which he made with Abraham: and his oath to Isaac. 16 [Del pacto] que concertó con Abraham, y de su juramento á Isaac;
16 the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac.
17 And he appointed the same to Jacob for a precept: and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: 17 El cual confirmó á Jacob por estatuto, y á Israel por pacto sempiterno,
17 He confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18 Saying: To thee will I give the land of Chanaan: the lot of your inheritance. 18 Diciendo: A ti daré la tierra de Canaán, suerte de vuestra herencia;
18 saying, “I will give you the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance,”
19 When they were but a small number: very few and sojourners in it. 19 Cuando erais pocos en número, pocos y peregrinos en ella;
19 when you were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.
20 And they passed from nation to nation: and from a kingdom to another people.
20 They went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: and reproved kings for their sake.
21 He allowed no man to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes,
22 Touch not my anointed: and do no evil to my prophets. 22 No toquéis, [dijo], á mis ungidos, ni hagáis mal á mis profetas.
22 “Don’t touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!”
23 Sing ye to the Lord, all the earth: shew forth from day to day his salvation.
23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth! Display his salvation from day to day.
24 Declare his glory among the Gentiles: his wonders among all people.
24 Declare his glory among the nations, and his marvelous works among all the peoples.
25 For the Lord is great and exceedingly to be praised: and he is to be feared above all gods.
25 For great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised. He also is to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Yahweh made the heavens.
27 Praise and magnificence are before him: strength and joy in his place.
27 Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.
28 Bring ye to the Lord, O ye families of the nations: bring ye to the Lord glory and empire.
28 Ascribe to Yahweh, you families of the peoples, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength!
29 Give to the Lord glory to his name, bring up sacrifice, and come ye in his sight: and adore the Lord in holy becomingness.
29 Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come before him. Worship Yahweh in holy array.
30 Let all the earth be moved at his presence: for he hath founded the world immoveable.
30 Tremble before him, all the earth. The world also is established that it can’t be moved.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth be glad: and let them say among the nations: The Lord hath reigned.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Let them say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns!”
32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all things that are in them.
32 Let the sea roar, and its fullness! Let the field exult, and all that is in it!
33 Then shall the trees of the wood give praise before the Lord: because he is come to judge the earth.
33 Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before Yahweh, for he comes to judge the earth.
34 Give ye glory to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
34 Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
35 And say ye: Save us, O God our saviour: and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give glory to thy holy name, and may rejoice in singing thy praises.
35 Say, “Save us, God of our salvation! Gather us together and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.”
36 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from eternity to eternity: and let all the people say Amen, and a hymn to God. 36 Bendito sea Jehová Dios de Israel, de eternidad á eternidad.
36 Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. All the people said, “Amen,” and praised Yahweh.
37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, Asaph and his brethren to minister in the presence of the ark continually day by day, and in their courses.
37 So he left Asaph and his brothers there before the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required;
38 And Obededom, with his brethren sixty-eight: and Obededom the son of Idithun, and Hosa he appointed to be porters.
38 and Obed-Edom with their sixty-eight relatives; Obed-Edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;
39 And Sadoc the priest, and his brethren priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gabaon.
39 and Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests, before Yahweh’s tabernacle in the high place that was at Gibeon,
40 That they should offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that is written in the law of the Lord, which he commanded Israel. 40 Para que sacrificasen continuamente, á mañana y tarde, holocaustos á Jehová en el altar del holocausto, conforme á todo lo que está escrito en la ley de Jehová, que él prescribió á Israel;
40 to offer burnt offerings to Yahweh on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in Yahweh’s law, which he commanded to Israel;
41 And after him Heman, and Idithun, and the rest that were chosen, every one by his name to give praise to the Lord: because his mercy endureth for ever. 41 Y con ellos á Hemán y á Jeduthún, y los otros escogidos declarados por sus nombres, para glorificar á Jehová, porque es eterna su misericordia;
41 and with them Heman and Jeduthun and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Yahweh, because his loving kindness endures forever;
42 And Heman and Idithun sounded the trumpet, and played on the cymbals, and all kinds of musical instruments to sing praises to God: and the sons of Idithun he made porters.
42 and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.
43 And all the people returned to their houses: and David to bless also his own house.
43 All the people departed, each man to his house; and David returned to bless his house.
