FBV Free Bible Version (Versión Biblia Libre en inglés)
WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos)
1 Watch out! The day is coming—it burns like an oven—when the proud and the wicked will be burned like straw. When that day comes they will be completely burned up, root and branch, says the Lord Almighty.
1 “For behold, the day comes, burning like a furnace, when all the proud and all who work wickedness will be stubble. The day that comes will burn them up,” says Yahweh of Armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But for those who have reverence for me, the sun of God's salvation will rise with healing in its wings, and you will be set free, leaping like calves released from their stalls.
2 But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall.
3 You will trample the wicked as ashes under your feet on the day when I take action, says the Lord Almighty.
3 You shall tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make,” says Yahweh of Armies.
4 Remember the law of Moses my servant that I commanded him and all Israel to follow—all the instructions and ceremonies I gave on Mount Sinai.
4 “Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.
5 Look! I am going to send Elijah the prophet before the day of the Lord arrives, the great and terrifying day.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes.
6 He will restore harmony between parents and children, and if that does not happen, I will come and strike the land with a curse.
6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

  1. Cita 4:1 Irenaeus of Lyons, Against Heresies (Book IV, Preface)

"For the day of the Lord cometh as a burning furnace, and all sinners shall be stubble, they who do evil things, and the day shall burn them up." Now, who this Lord is that brings such a day about, John the Baptist points out, when he says of Christ, "He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with …

  2. Cita 4:4 Augustine of Hippo, The City of God (Book XX, Chapters 27–29)

In the succeeding words, "Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel," the prophet opportunely mentions precepts and statutes, after declaring the important distinction hereafter to be made between those who observe and those who despise the law.

  4. Cita 4:2 Augustine of Hippo, Sermons on Selected Lessons of the New Testament (Sermon VIII)

Let then your wrath at length pass away also, now that we are celebrating the days of the great Sun, of that Sun of which Scripture saith, "Unto you shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings." What is, "in His wings"?
