LSV Literal Standard Version WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 And it came to pass, on His going into the house of a certain one of the chiefs of the Pharisees, on a Sabbath, to eat bread, that they were watching Him, 1 Y ACONTECIÓ que entrando en casa de un príncipe de los Fariseos un sábado á comer pan, ellos le acechaban.
1 When he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a Sabbath to eat bread, they were watching him.
2 and behold, there was a certain dropsical man before Him; 2 Y he aquí un hombre hidrópico estaba delante de él.
2 Behold, a certain man who had dropsy was in front of him.
3 and Jesus answering spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” 3 Y respondiendo Jesús, habló á los doctores de la ley y á los Fariseos, diciendo: ¿Es lícito sanar en sábado?
3 Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
4 And they were silent, and having taken hold of [him], He healed him, and let [him] go; 4 Y ellos callaron. Entonces él tomándole, le sanó, y despidióle.
4 But they were silent. He took him, and healed him, and let him go.
5 and answering them He said, “Of which of you will a donkey or ox fall into a pit, and he will not immediately draw it up on the Sabbath day?” 5 Y respondiendo á ellos dijo: ¿El asno ó el buey de cuál de vosotros caerá en [algún] pozo, y no lo sacará luego en día de sábado?
5 He answered them, “Which of you, if your son or an ox fell into a well, wouldn’t immediately pull him out on a Sabbath day?”
6 And they were not able to answer Him again to these things.
6 They couldn’t answer him regarding these things.
7 And He spoke an allegory to those called, marking how they were choosing out the first couches, saying to them, 7 Y observando cómo escogían los primeros asientos á la mesa, propuso una parábola á los convidados, diciéndoles:
7 He spoke a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the best seats, and said to them,
8 “When you may be called by anyone to wedding feasts, you may not recline on the first couch, lest [one] more honorable than you may have been called by him, 8 Cuando fueres convidado de alguno á bodas, no te sientes en el primer lugar, no sea que otro más honrado que tú esté por él convidado,
8 “When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, don’t sit in the best seat, since perhaps someone more honorable than you might be invited by him,
9 and he who called you and him having come will say to you, Give to this one [your] place, and then you may begin to occupy the last place with shame.
9 and he who invited both of you would come and tell you, ‘Make room for this person.’ Then you would begin, with shame, to take the lowest place.
10 But when you may be called, having gone on, recline in the last place, that when he who called you may come, he may say to you, Friend, come up higher; then you will have glory before those dining with you; 10 Mas cuando fueres convidado, ve, y siéntate en el postrer lugar; porque cuando viniere el que te llamó, te diga: Amigo, sube arriba: entonces tendrás gloria delante de los que juntamente se asientan á la mesa.
10 But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes, he may tell you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at the table with you.
11 because everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, and he who is humbling himself will be exalted.” 11 Porque cualquiera que se ensalza, será humillado; y el que se humilla, será ensalzado.
11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
12 And He also said to him who called Him, “When you may make an early meal or a dinner, do not be calling your friends, nor your brothers, nor your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they may also call you again, and a repayment may come to you; 12 Y dijo también al que le había convidado: Cuando haces comida ó cena, no llames á tus amigos, ni á tus hermanos, ni á tus parientes, ni á vecinos ricos; porque también ellos no te vuelvan á convidar, y te sea hecha compensación.
12 He also said to the one who had invited him, “When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.
13 but when you may make a feast, be calling poor, maimed, lame, blind, 13 Mas cuando haces banquete, llama á los pobres, los mancos, los cojos, los ciegos;
13 But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind;
14 and you will be blessed, because they have nothing to repay you, for it will be repaid to you in the resurrection of the righteous.” 14 Y serás bienaventurado; porque no te pueden retribuir; mas te será recompensado en la resurrección de los justos.
14 and you will be blessed, because they don’t have the resources to repay you. For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the righteous.”
15 And one of those dining with Him, having heard these things, said to Him, “Blessed [is] he who will eat bread in the Kingdom of God”; 15 Y oyendo esto uno de los que juntamente estaban sentados á la mesa, le dijo: Bienaventurado el que comerá pan en el reino de los cielos.
15 When one of those who sat at the table with him heard these things, he said to him, “Blessed is he who will feast in God’s Kingdom!”
16 and He said to him, “A certain man made a great dinner, and called many, 16 El entonces le dijo: Un hombre hizo una grande cena, y convidó á muchos.
16 But he said to him, “A certain man made a great supper, and he invited many people.
17 and he sent his servant at the hour of the dinner to say to those having been called, Be coming, because now all things are ready.
17 He sent out his servant at supper time to tell those who were invited, ‘Come, for everything is ready now.’
18 And all began with one [voice] to excuse themselves. The first said to him, I bought a field, and I have need to go forth and see it; I beg of you, have me excused.
18 They all as one began to make excuses. “The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please have me excused.’
19 And another said, I bought five yoke of oxen, and I go on to prove them; I beg of you, have me excused.
19 “Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I must go try them out. Please have me excused.’
20 And another said, I married a wife, and because of this I am not able to come.
20 “Another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I can’t come.’
21 And that servant having come, told these things to his lord, then the master of the house, having been angry, said to his servant, Go forth quickly into the broad places and lanes of the city, and the poor, and maimed, and lame, and blind, bring in here.
21 “That servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor, maimed, blind, and lame.’
22 And the servant said, Lord, it has been done as you commanded, and still there is room.
22 “The servant said, ‘Lord, it is done as you commanded, and there is still room.’
23 And the lord said to the servant, Go forth into the ways and hedges, and constrain to come in, that my house may be filled; 23 Y dijo el señor al siervo: Ve por los caminos y por los vallados, y fuérza[los] á entrar, para que se llene mi casa.
23 “The lord said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 for I say to you that none of those men who have been called will taste of my dinner.” 24 Porque os digo que ninguno de aquellos hombres que fueron llamados, gustará mi cena.
24 For I tell you that none of those men who were invited will taste of my supper. For many are called, but few are chosen.’”
25 And there were going on with Him great multitudes, and having turned, He said to them, 25 Y muchas gentes iban con él; y volviéndose les dijo:
25 Now great multitudes were going with him. He turned and said to them,
26 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and yet even his own life, he is not able to be My disciple; 26 Si alguno viene á mí, y no aborrece á su padre, y madre, y mujer, é hijos, y hermanos, y hermanas, y aun también su vida, no puede ser mi discípulo.
26 “If anyone comes to me, and doesn’t disregard his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he can’t be my disciple.
27 and whoever does not carry his cross, and come after Me, is not able to be My disciple.
27 Whoever doesn’t bear his own cross and come after me, can’t be my disciple.
28 For who of you, willing to build a tower, does not first, having sat down, count the expense, whether he has the things for completing?
28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?
29 Lest that he having laid a foundation, and not being able to finish, all who are beholding may begin to mock him, 29 Porque después que haya puesto el fundamento, y no pueda acabarla, todos los que [lo] vieren, no comiencen á hacer burla de él,
29 Or perhaps, when he has laid a foundation and isn’t able to finish, everyone who sees begins to mock him,
30 saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. 30 Diciendo: Este hombre comenzó á edificar, y no pudo acabar.
30 saying, ‘This man began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
31 Or what king going on to engage with another king in war, does not, having sat down, first consult if he with ten thousand is able to meet him who is coming against him with twenty thousand?
31 Or what king, as he goes to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
32 And if not so—he being yet a long way off—having sent a delegation, he asks the things for peace.
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an envoy and asks for conditions of peace.
33 So, then, everyone of you who does not take leave of all that he himself has, is not able to be My disciple.
33 So therefore, whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple.
34 The salt [is] good, but if the salt becomes tasteless, with what will it be seasoned?
34 “Salt is good, but if the salt becomes flat and tasteless, with what do you season it?
35 It is neither fit for land nor for manure—they cast it outside. He who is having ears to hear—let him hear.” 35 Ni para la tierra, ni para el muladar es buena; fuera la arrojan. Quien tiene oídos para oir, oiga.
35 It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile. It is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
