1 Not to us, O YHWH, not to us, || But to Your Name give glory, || For Your kindness, for Your truth. 2 Why do the nations say, “Where, pray, [is] their God?” 3 And our God [is] in the heavens, || All that He has pleased He has done. 4 Their idols [are] silver and gold, work of man’s hands, 5 They have a mouth, and they do not speak, || They have eyes, and they do not see, 6 They have ears, and they do not hear, || They have a nose, and they do not smell, 7 Their hands, but they do not handle, || Their feet, and they do not walk; 8 Nor do they mutter through their throat, || Their makers are like them, || Everyone who is trusting in them. 9 O Israel, trust in YHWH, “He [is] their help and their shield.” 10 O house of Aaron, trust in YHWH, “He [is] their help and their shield.” 11 You fearing YHWH, trust in YHWH, “He [is] their help and their shield.” 12 YHWH has remembered us, He blesses, || He blesses the house of Israel, || He blesses the house of Aaron, 13 He blesses those fearing YHWH, || The small with the great. 14 YHWH adds to you—to you and to your sons. 15 Blessed [are] you of YHWH, || Maker of the heavens and earth, 16 The heavens—the heavens [are] YHWH’s, || And He has given the earth to sons of men; 17 The dead do not praise YAH, || Nor any going down to silence. 18 And we, we bless YAH, || From now on, and for all time. Praise YAH!

  1. Comentario Augustine of Hippo, Expositions on the Psalms (Psalm CXIII)

When ye hear sung in the Psalms, "Praise the Lord, ye children" (ver. 1); imagine not that that exhortation pertaineth not unto you, because having already passed the youth of the body, ye are either blooming in the prime of manhood, or growing gray with the honours of old age: for unto all of you the Apostle saith, "Brethren, be …

But where is that heaven of heavens, O Lord, of which we hear in the words of the Psalm, The heaven of heavens are the Lord's, but the earth hath He given to the children of men? Where is the heaven, which we behold not, in comparison of which all this, which we behold, is earth?

  4. Cita 115:3 John Chrysostom, Homilies on the Gospel of Matthew (Homily XXVI)

… not the leper commended, who showed forth things greater than these?" For he did not so much as say, "speak the word," but what was far more, "be willing only," which is what the prophet saith concerning the Father, "He hath done whatsoever He pleased." But he also was commended.
