1 Ο Δαβίδ λοιπόν και οι άρχοντες του στρατεύματος διήρεσαν εις την υπηρεσίαν τους υιούς του Ασάφ και του Αιμάν και του Ιεδουθούν, διά να υμνωδώσιν εν κιθάραις, εν ψαλτηρίοις και εν κυμβάλοις· και ο αριθμός των εργαζομένων κατά την υπηρεσίαν αυτών, ήτο,
1 Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. The number of those who did the work according to their service was:
2 εκ των υιών Ασάφ, Ζακχούρ και Ιωσήφ και Νεθανίας και Ασαρηλά, υιοί Ασάφ, υπό την οδηγίαν του Ασάφ, του υμνωδούντος, κατά την διάταξιν του βασιλέως·
2 of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king.
3 του Ιεδουθούν· οι υιοί του Ιεδουθούν, Γεδαλίας και Σερί και Ιεσαΐας, Σιμεΐ, Ασαβίας και Ματταθίας, εξ, υπό την οδηγίαν του πατρός αυτών Ιεδουθούν, όστις υμνώδει εν κιθάρα, υμνών και δοξολογών τον Κύριον·
3 Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Yahweh with the harp.
4 του Αιμάν· οι υιοί του Αιμάν, Βουκκίας, Ματθανίας, Οζιήλ, Σεβουήλ και Ιεριμώθ, Ανανίας, Ανανί, Ελιαθά, Γιδδαλθί και Ρομαμθί-έζερ, Ιωσβεκασά, Μαλλωθί, Ωθίρ και Μααζιώθ·
4 Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
5 πάντες ούτοι ήσαν οι υιοί του Αιμάν του βλέποντος του βασιλέως εις τους λόγους του Θεού, διωρισμένοι εις το να υψόνωσι το κέρας. Έδωκε δε ο Θεός εις τον Αιμάν δεκατέσσαρας υιούς και τρεις θυγατέρας.
5 All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 Πάντες ούτοι υπό την οδηγίαν του πατρός αυτών ήσαν υμνωδούντες εν τω οίκω του Κυρίου, εν κυμβάλοις, ψαλτηρίοις και κιθάραις, διά την υπηρεσίαν του οίκου του Θεού, κατά την διάταξιν του βασιλέως προς τον Ασάφ και Ιεδουθούν και Αιμάν.
6 All these were under the hands of their father for song in Yahweh’s house, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house: Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.
7 Και έγεινεν ο αριθμός αυτών, μετά των αδελφών αυτών, των δεδιδαγμένων τα άσματα του Κυρίου, διακόσιοι ογδοήκοντα οκτώ, πάντες συνετοί.
7 The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to Yahweh, even all who were skillful, was two hundred eighty-eight.
8 Και έρριψαν κλήρους περί της υπηρεσίας, εξ ίσου ο μικρός καθώς ο μεγάλος, ο διδάσκαλος καθώς ο μαθητής.
8 They cast lots for their offices, all alike, the small as well as the great, the teacher as well as the student.
9 Ο πρώτος δε κλήρος εξήλθε διά τον Ασάφ εις τον Ιωσήφ· ο δεύτερος εις τον Γεδαλίαν· ούτος και οι αδελφοί αυτού και οι υιοί αυτού ήσαν δώδεκα.
9 Now the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, he and his brothers and sons were twelve;
10 Ο τρίτος εις τον Ζακχούρ· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
10 the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
11 Ο τέταρτος εις τον Ισερί· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
11 the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
12 Ο πέμπτος εις τον Νεβανίαν· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
12 the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
13 Ο έκτος εις τον Βουκκίαν· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
13 the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
14 Ο έβδομος εις τον Ιεσαρηλά· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
14 the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
15 Ο όγδοος εις τον Ιεσαΐαν· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού, και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
15 the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
16 Ο έννατος εις τον Ματθανίαν· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
16 the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
17 Ο δέκατος εις τον Σιμεΐ· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
17 the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
18 Ο ενδέκατος εις τον Αζαρεήλ· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
18 the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
19 Ο δωδέκατος εις τον Ασαβίαν· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
19 the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
20 Ο δέκατος τρίτος εις τον Σουβαήλ· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
20 for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
21 Ο δέκατος τέταρτος εις τον Ματταθίαν· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
21 for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
22 Ο δέκατος πέμπτος εις τον Ιερεμώθ· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
22 for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
23 Ο δέκατος έκτος εις τον Ανανίαν· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
23 for the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
24 Ο δέκατος έβδομος εις τον Ιωσβεκασά· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
24 for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
25 Ο δέκατος όγδοος εις τον Ανανί· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
25 for the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
26 Ο δέκατος έννατος εις τον Μαλλωθί· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
26 for the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
27 Ο εικοστός εις τον Ελιαθά· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
27 for the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
28 Ο εικοστός πρώτος εις τον Ωθίρ· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
28 for the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
29 Ο εικοστός δεύτερος εις τον Γιδδαλθί· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
29 for the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
30 Ο εικοστός τρίτος εις τον Μααζιώθ· ούτος, οι υιοί αυτού και οι αδελφοί αυτού, δώδεκα.
30 for the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
