6 Y los discípulos fueron, é hicieron como Jesús les mandó;
10 И҆ вше́дшꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ, потрѧсе́сѧ ве́сь гра́дъ, глаго́лѧ: кто́ є҆сть се́й;
12 Y entró Jesús en el templo de Dios, y echó fuera todos los que vendían y compraban en el templo, y trastornó las mesas de los cambiadores, y las sillas de los que vendían palomas;
16 и҆ рѣ́ша є҆мꙋ̀: слы́шиши ли, что̀ сі́и глаго́лютъ; І҆и҃съ же речѐ и҆̀мъ: є҆́й: нѣ́сте ли члѝ николи́же, ꙗ҆́кѡ и҆з̾ ᲂу҆́стъ младе́нєцъ и҆ ссꙋ́щихъ соверши́лъ є҆сѝ хвалꙋ̀;
20 И҆ ви́дѣвше ᲂу҆чн҃цы̀ диви́шасѧ, глаго́люще: ка́кѡ а҆́бїе и҆́зсше смоко́вница;
23 И҆ прише́дшꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ въ це́рковь, пристꙋпи́ша къ немꙋ̀ ᲂу҆ча́щꙋ а҆рхїере́є и҆ ста́рцы людсті́и, глаго́люще: ко́ею вла́стїю сїѧ̑ твори́ши; и҆ кто́ ти дадѐ вла́сть сїю̀;
25 кр҃ще́нїе і҆ѡа́нново ѿкꙋ́дꙋ бѣ̀; съ нб҃се́ ли, и҆лѝ ѿ человѣ̑къ; Ѻ҆ни́ же помышлѧ́хꙋ въ себѣ̀, глаго́люще: а҆́ще рече́мъ, съ нб҃сѐ: рече́тъ на́мъ: почто̀ ᲂу҆̀бо не вѣ́ровасте є҆мꙋ̀;
27 Y respondiendo á Jesús, dijeron: No sabemos.
29 Y respondiendo él, dijo: No quiero; mas después, arrepentido, fué.
Y no fué.
40 Є҆гда̀ ᲂу҆̀бо прїи́детъ господи́нъ вїногра́да, что̀ сотвори́тъ дѣ́лателємъ тѣ̑мъ;

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations).

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
