BBE Biblia en inglés básico WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) PT1904 Texto Patriarcal 1904 (acentuado, edición de eBible) 1 In those days again, when there was a great mass of people and they had no food, he made his disciples come to him and said to them, 1 In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself and said to them,
2 I have pity for these people because they have been with me now three days, and have no food; 2 “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days and have nothing to eat.
3 If I send them away to their houses with no food, they will be overcome by weariness on the way; and some of them have come from far. 3 If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.”
4 And his disciples said in answer, How will it be possible to get enough bread for these men here in a waste place? 4 His disciples answered him, “From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?”
4 καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ· πόθεν τούτους δυνήσεταί τις ὧδε χορτάσαι ἄρτων ἐπ᾽ ἐρημίας;
5 And he put the question, How much bread have you? And they said, Seven cakes. 5 He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”
6 And he made the people be seated on the earth: and he took the seven cakes and, having given praise, he gave the broken bread to his disciples to put before them; and they put it before the people. 6 He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude.
7 And they had some small fishes; and blessing them he had them put before the people in the same way. 7 They also had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.
8 And they took the food, and had enough; and they took up seven baskets full of the broken bits. 8 They ate and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
9 And there were about four thousand people: and he sent them away. 9 Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.
10 And he got into the boat with his disciples straight away, and came into the country of Dalmanutha. 10 Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples and came into the region of Dalmanutha.
11 And the Pharisees came out and put questions to him, requesting from him a sign from heaven, testing him. 11 The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven and testing him.
12 And he was very sad in spirit, and said, Why is this generation looking for a sign? truly, I say to you, No sign will be given to this generation. 12 He sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Most certainly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.”
13 And he went away from them, and again got into the boat and went across to the other side. 13 He left them, and again entering into the boat, departed to the other side.
14 And they had taken no thought to get bread; and they had only one cake of bread with them in the boat. 14 They forgot to take bread; and they didn’t have more than one loaf in the boat with them.
15 And he said to them, Take care to be on the watch against the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod. 15 He warned them, saying, “Take heed: beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.”
16 And they said to one another, We have no bread. 16 They reasoned with one another, saying, “It’s because we have no bread.”
17 And Jesus, hearing it, said to them, Why are you reasoning among yourselves because you have no bread? do you still not see, and is it still not clear to you? are your hearts so hard? 17 Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, “Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet or understand? Is your heart still hardened?
17 καὶ γνοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς· τί διαλογίζεσθε ὅτι ἄρτους οὐκ ἔχετε; οὔπω νοεῖτε οὐδὲ συνίετε; ἔτι πεπωρωμένην ἔχετε τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν;
18 Having eyes, do you not see? and having ears, have you no hearing? and have you no memory? 18 Having eyes, don’t you see? Having ears, don’t you hear? Don’t you remember?
18 ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔχοντες οὐ βλέπετε, καὶ ὦτα ἔχοντες οὐκ ἀκούετε; καὶ οὐ μνημονεύετε;
19 When I made a division of the five cakes of bread among the five thousand, what number of baskets full of broken bits did you take up? They said to him, Twelve. 19 When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Twelve.”
20 And when the seven among the four thousand, what number of baskets full of broken bits did you take up? And they said to him, Seven. 20 “When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Seven.”
21 And he said to them, Is it still not clear to you? 21 He asked them, “Don’t you understand yet?”
21 καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· οὔπω συνίετε;
22 And they came to Beth-saida. And they took a blind man to him, requesting him to put his hands on him. 22 He came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to him and begged him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and went with him out of the town; and when he had put water from his mouth on his eyes, and put his hands on him, he said, Do you see anything? 23 He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spat on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.
24 And looking up, he said, I see men; I see them like trees, walking. 24 He looked up, and said, “I see men, but I see them like walking trees.”
25 Then again he put his hands on his eyes; and looking hard, he was able to see, and saw all things clearly. 25 Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He looked intently, and was restored, and saw everyone clearly.
26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Do not even go into the town. 26 He sent him away to his house, saying, “Don’t enter into the village, nor tell anyone in the village.”
27 And Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the little towns round Caesarea Philippi; and on the way he put a question to his disciples, saying, Who do men say that I am? 27 Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”
27 Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰς κώμας Καισαρείας τῆς Φιλίππου· καὶ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐπηρώτα τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ λέγων αὐτοῖς· τίνα με λέγουσιν οἱ ἄνθρωποι εἶναι;
28 And they made answer, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but others, One of the prophets. 28 They told him, “John the Baptizer, and others say Elijah, but others, one of the prophets.”
29 And he said to them, But who do you say I am? Peter said in answer, You are the Christ. 29 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”
30 And he put them under orders not to say this of him to anyone. 30 He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.
31 And teaching them, he said that the Son of man would have to undergo much, and be hated by those in authority, and the chief priests, and the scribes, and be put to death, and after three days come back from the dead. 31 He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
32 And he said this openly. And Peter took him, and was protesting. 32 He spoke to them openly. Peter took him and began to rebuke him.
33 But he, turning about, and seeing his disciples, said sharply to Peter, Get out of my way, Satan: for your mind is not on the things of God, but on the things of men. 33 But he, turning around and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”
34 And turning to the mass of people with his disciples, he said to them, If any man has the desire to come after me, let him give up all other desires, and take up his cross and come after me. 34 He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 Whoever has a desire to keep his life, will have it taken from him; and whoever gives up his life because of me and the good news, will keep it. 35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.
36 What profit has a man if he gets all the world with the loss of his life? 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
36 τί γὰρ ὠφελήσει ἄνθρωπον ἐὰν κερδήσῃ τὸν κόσμον ὅλον, καὶ ζημιωθῇ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ;
37 And what would a man give in exchange for his life? 37 For what will a man give in exchange for his life?
37 ἢ τί δώσει ἄνθρωπος ἀντάλλαγμα τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ;
38 Whoever has a feeling of shame because of me and my words in this false and evil generation, the Son of man will have a feeling of shame because of him, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. 38 For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
