Brenton Septuaginta inglesa de Brenton WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 And there came to me men of the people of Israel, of the elders, and sat before me. 1 Y VINIERON á mí algunos de los ancianos de Israel, y sentáronse delante de mí.
1 Then some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me.
2 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
2 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
3 Son of man, these men have conceived their devices in their hearts, and have set before their faces the punishment of their iniquities: shall I indeed answer them?
3 “Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Should I be inquired of at all by them?
4 Therefore speak to them, and thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord; Any man of the house of Israel, who shall conceive his devices in his heart, and shall set the punishment of his iniquity before his face, and shall come to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him [according to the things] in which his mind is entangled, 4 Háblales por tanto, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel que hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro, y viniere al profeta, yo Jehová responderé al que viniere en la multitud de sus ídolos;
4 Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face then comes to the prophet, I Yahweh will answer him there according to the multitude of his idols,
5 that he should turn aside the house of Israel, according to their hearts that are estranged from me in their thoughts.
5 that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.”’
6 Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God, Be converted, and turn from your [evil] practices, and from all your sins, and turn your faces back again.
6 “Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations.
7 For any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who shall separate himself from me, and conceive his imaginations in his heart, and set before his face the punishment of his iniquity, and come to the prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the Lord will answer him, [according to the things] wherein he is entangled.
7 “‘“For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me, I Yahweh will answer him by myself.
8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him desolate and ruined, and will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
8 I will set my face against that man and will make him an astonishment, for a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from among my people. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.
9 And if a prophet should cause to err and should speak, I the Lord have caused that prophet to err, and will stretch out my hand upon him, and will utterly destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
9 “‘“If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, Yahweh, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from among my people Israel.
10 And they shall bear their iniquity according to the trespass of him that asks; and it shall be in like manner to the prophet according to the trespass: 10 Y llevarán su maldad: como la maldad del que pregunta, así será la maldad del profeta;
10 They will bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet will be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him,
11 that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, and that they may no more defile themselves with any of their transgressions: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God, saith the Lord.
11 that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, neither defile themselves any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God,” says the Lord Yahweh.’”
12 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 12 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
12 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
13 Son of man, if a land shall sin against me by committing a trespass, then will I stretch out my hand upon it, and will break its staff of bread, and will send forth famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast. 13 Hijo del hombre, cuando la tierra pecare contra mí rebelándose pérfidamente, y extendiere yo mi mano sobre ella, y le quebrantare el arrimo del pan, y enviare en ella hambre, y talare de ella hombres y bestias;
13 “Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal—
14 And though these three men should be in the midst of it, Noe, and Daniel, and Job, they [alone] should be delivered by their righteousness, saith the Lord.
14 though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness,” says the Lord Yahweh.
15 If again I bring evil beasts upon the land, and take vengeance upon it, and it be ruined, and there be no one to pass through for fear of the wild beasts: 15 Y si hiciere pasar malas bestias por la tierra, y la asolaren, y fuere desolada que no haya quien pase á causa de las bestias,
15 “If I cause evil animals to pass through the land, and they ravage it and it is made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the animals—
16 and [if] these three men should be in the midst of it, [as] I live, saith the Lord, neither sons nor daughters shall be saved, but these only shall be saved, and the land shall be destroyed.
16 though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters. They only would be delivered, but the land would be desolate.
17 Or again if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Let the sword go through the land; and I cut off from them man and beast: 17 O si yo trajere espada sobre la tierra, y dijere: Espada, pasa por la tierra; é hiciere talar de ella hombres y bestias,
17 “Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, ‘Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off from it man and animal’—
18 though these three men were in the midst of it, as I live, saith the Lord, they shall not deliver sons or daughters, but they only shall be saved themselves.
18 though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only would be delivered themselves.
19 Or [if] again I send pestilence upon that land, and pour out my wrath upon it in blood, to destroy from off it man and beast: 19 O si pestilencia enviare sobre esa tierra, y derramare mi ira sobre ella en sangre, para talar de ella hombres y bestias,
19 “Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my wrath on it in blood, to cut off from it man and animal—
20 and should Noe, and Daniel, and Job, be in the midst of it, [as] I live, saith the Lord, there shall be left [them] neither sons nor daughters; [only] they by their righteousness shall deliver their souls.
20 though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness.”
21 Thus saith the Lord, And if I even send upon Jerusalem my four sore judgments, sword, and famine, and evil beasts, and pestilence, to destroy from out of it man and beast; 21 Por lo cual así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿Cuánto más, si mis cuatro malos juicios, espada, y hambre, y mala bestia, y pestilencia, enviare contra Jerusalem, para talar de ella hombres y bestias?
21 For the Lord Yahweh says: “How much more when I send my four severe judgments on Jerusalem—the sword, the famine, the evil animals, and the pestilence—to cut off from it man and animal!
22 yet, behold, [there shall be] men left in it, the escaped thereof, who [shall] lead forth of it sons and daughters: behold, they [shall] go forth to you, and ye shall see their ways and their thoughts: and ye shall mourn over the evils which I have brought upon Jerusalem, [even] all the evils which I have brought upon it. 22 Sin embargo, he aquí quedarán en ella algunos residuos, hijos é hijas, que serán llevados fuera: he aquí que ellos entrarán á vosotros, y veréis su camino y sus hechos; y tomaréis consolación del mal que hice venir sobre Jerusalem, de todas las cosas que traje sobre ella.
22 Yet, behold, there will be left a remnant in it that will be carried out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they will come out to you, and you will see their way and their doings. Then you will be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought on Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought on it.
23 And they shall comfort you, because ye shall see their ways and their thoughts: and ye shall know that I have not done in vain all that I have done in it, saith the Lord.
23 They will comfort you, when you see their way and their doings; then you will know that I have not done all that I have done in it without cause,” says the Lord Yahweh.
