Darby Traducción de Darby WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, with every prince.
1 David consulted with the captains of thousands and of hundreds, even with every leader.
2 And David said to all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good to you, and it be of Jehovah our God, let us send abroad to our brethren everywhere, that are left in all the lands of Israel, and with them to the priests and Levites in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves to us; 2 Y dijo David á todo el congreso de Israel: Si os parece bien y de Jehová nuestro Dios, enviaremos á todas partes [á llamar] nuestros hermanos que han quedado en todas las tierras de Israel, y á los sacerdotes y Levitas [que están] con ellos en sus ciudades y ejidos que se junten con nosotros;
2 David said to all the assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you, and if it is of Yahweh our God, let’s send word everywhere to our brothers who are left in all the land of Israel, with whom the priests and Levites are in their cities that have pasture lands, that they may gather themselves to us.
3 and let us bring again the ark of our God to us; for we inquired not of it in the days of Saul.
3 Also, let’s bring the ark of our God back to us again, for we didn’t seek it in the days of Saul.”
4 And all the congregation said that they should do so; for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
4 All the assembly said that they would do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
5 And David assembled all Israel from the Shihor of Egypt unto the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjath-jearim.
5 So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor River of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring God’s ark from Kiriath Jearim.
6 And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, to Kirjath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, of Jehovah, who sitteth between the cherubim, whose name is placed [there]. 6 Y subió David con todo Israel á Baala de Chîriath-jearim, que es en Judá, para pasar de allí el arca de Jehová Dios que habita entre los querubines, sobre la cual su nombre es invocado.
6 David went up with all Israel to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath Jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there God Yahweh’s ark that sits above the cherubim, that is called by the Name.
7 And they carried the ark of God on a new cart out of the house of Abinadab; and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.
7 They carried God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house; and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.
8 And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with lutes, and with tambours, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
8 David and all Israel played before God with all their might, even with songs, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with cymbals, and with trumpets.
9 And when they came to the threshing-floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen had stumbled.
9 When they came to Chidon’s threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled.
10 And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he had put forth his hand to the ark; and there he died before God. 10 Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uzza, é hiriólo, porque había extendido su mano al arca: y murió allí delante de Dios.
10 Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzza, and he struck him because he put his hand on the ark; and he died there before God.
11 And David was indignant; for Jehovah had made a breach upon Uzza; and he called that place Perez-Uzza to this day.
11 David was displeased, because Yahweh had broken out against Uzza. He called that place Perez Uzza, to this day.
12 And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God to me? 12 Y David temió á Dios aquel día, y dijo: ¿Cómo he de traer á mi casa el arca de Dios?
12 David was afraid of God that day, saying, “How can I bring God’s ark home to me?”
13 And David brought not the ark home unto himself into the city of David, but he carried it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
13 So David didn’t move the ark with him into David’s city, but carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.
14 And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And Jehovah blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that he had.
14 God’s ark remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom’s house and all that he had.
