1 [ALEPH] O the blessedness of those perfect in the way, || They are walking in the Law of YHWH,
1 ALEPH. BIENAVENTURADOS los perfectos de camino; los que andan en la ley de Jehová.
1 ALEPH Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to Yahweh’s law.
2 O the blessedness of those keeping His testimonies, || They seek Him with the whole heart.
2 Bienaventurados los que guardan sus testimonios, y con todo el corazón le buscan:
2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes, who seek him with their whole heart.
3 Indeed, they have not done iniquity, || They have walked in His ways.
3 Pues no hacen iniquidad los que andan en sus caminos.
3 Yes, they do nothing wrong. They walk in his ways.
4 You have commanded us to diligently keep Your precepts,
4 Tú encargaste que sean muy guardados tus mandamientos.
4 You have commanded your precepts, that we should fully obey them.
5 O that my ways were prepared to keep Your statutes,
5 ¡Ojalá fuesen ordenados mis caminos á observar tus estatutos!
5 Oh that my ways were steadfast to obey your statutes!
6 Then I am not ashamed || In my looking to all Your commands.
6 Entonces no sería yo avergonzado, cuando atendiese á todos tus mandamientos.
6 Then I wouldn’t be disappointed, when I consider all of your commandments.
7 I confess You with uprightness of heart, || In my learning the judgments of Your righteousness.
7 Te alabaré con rectitud de corazón, cuando aprendiere los juicios de tu justicia.
7 I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart, when I learn your righteous judgments.
8 I keep Your statutes, do not utterly leave me!
8 Tus estatutos guardaré: no me dejes enteramente.
8 I will observe your statutes. Don’t utterly forsake me. BETH
9 [BETH] With what does a young man purify his path? To observe—according to Your word.
9 BETH ¿Con qué limpiará el joven su camino? Con guardar tu palabra.
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
10 I have sought You with all my heart, || Do not let me err from Your commands.
10 Con todo mi corazón te he buscado: no me dejes divagar de tus mandamientos.
10 With my whole heart I have sought you. Don’t let me wander from your commandments.
11 I have hid Your saying in my heart, || That I do not sin before You.
11 En mi corazón he guardado tus dichos, para no pecar contra ti.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
12 Blessed [are] You, O YHWH, teach me Your statutes.
12 Bendito tú, oh Jehová: enséñame tus estatutos.
12 Blessed are you, Yahweh. Teach me your statutes.
13 With my lips I have recounted || All the judgments of Your mouth.
13 Con mis labios he contado todos los juicios de tu boca.
13 With my lips, I have declared all the ordinances of your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, || As over all wealth.
14 Heme gozado en el camino de tus testimonios, como sobre toda riqueza.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I meditate on Your precepts, || And I attentively behold Your paths.

16 I delight myself in Your statutes, || I do not forget Your word.

17 Do good to your servant. I will live and I will obey your word.
18 Uncover my eyes, and I behold wonders out of Your law.
18 Abre mis ojos, y miraré las maravillas de tu ley.
18 Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law.
19 I [am] a sojourner on earth, || Do not hide Your commands from me.
19 Advenedizo soy yo en la tierra: no encubras de mí tus mandamientos.
19 I am a stranger on the earth. Don’t hide your commandments from me.
20 My soul has broken for desire || To Your judgments at all times.
20 Quebrantada está mi alma de desear tus juicios en todo tiempo.
20 My soul is consumed with longing for your ordinances at all times.
21 You have rebuked the cursed proud, || Who are erring from Your commands.
21 Destruiste á los soberbios malditos, que se desvían de tus mandamientos.
21 You have rebuked the proud who are cursed, who wander from your commandments.
22 Remove reproach and contempt from me, || For I have kept Your testimonies.
22 Aparta de mí oprobio y menosprecio; porque tus testimonios he guardado.
22 Take reproach and contempt away from me, for I have kept your statutes.
23 Princes also sat—they spoke against me, || Your servant meditates on Your statutes,
23 Príncipes también se sentaron y hablaron contra mí: [mas] tu siervo meditaba en tus estatutos.
23 Though princes sit and slander me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.
24 Your testimonies [are] also my delight, || The men of my counsel!
24 Pues tus testimonios son mis deleites, [y] mis consejeros.
24 Indeed your statutes are my delight, and my counselors. DALETH
25 [DALETH] My soul has cleaved to the dust, || Quicken me according to Your word.
25 DALETH. Pegóse al polvo mi alma: vivifícame según tu palabra.
25 My soul is laid low in the dust. Revive me according to your word!
26 I have recounted my ways, || And You answer me, teach me Your statutes,
26 Mis caminos [te] conté, y me has respondido: enséñame tus estatutos.
26 I declared my ways, and you answered me. Teach me your statutes.
27 Cause me to understand the way of Your precepts, || And I meditate on Your wonders.
27 Hazme entender el camino de tus mandamientos, y hablaré de tus maravillas.
27 Let me understand the teaching of your precepts! Then I will meditate on your wondrous works.
28 My soul has dropped from affliction, || Establish me according to Your word.
28 Deshácese mi alma de ansiedad: corrobórame según tu palabra.
28 My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.
29 Turn aside the way of falsehood from me || And favor me with Your law.
29 Aparta de mí camino de mentira; y hazme la gracia de tu ley.
29 Keep me from the way of deceit. Grant me your law graciously!
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness, || I have compared Your judgments,
30 Escogí el camino de la verdad; he puesto tus juicios [delante de mí].
30 I have chosen the way of truth. I have set your ordinances before me.
31 I have adhered to Your testimonies, || O YHWH, do not put me to shame.
31 Allegádome he á tus testimonios; oh Jehová, no me avergüences.
31 I cling to your statutes, Yahweh. Don’t let me be disappointed.
32 I run the way of Your commands, || For You enlarge my heart!
32 Por el camino de tus mandamientos correré, cuando ensanchares mi corazón.
32 I run in the path of your commandments, for you have set my heart free. HE
33 [HE] Show me, O YHWH, the way of Your statutes, || And I keep it—[to] the end.
33 HE. Enséñame, oh Jehová, el camino de tus estatutos, y guardarélo hasta el fin.
33 Teach me, Yahweh, the way of your statutes. I will keep them to the end.
34 Cause me to understand, and I keep Your law, || And observe it with the whole heart.
34 Dame entendimiento, y guardaré tu ley; y la observaré de todo corazón.
34 Give me understanding, and I will keep your law. Yes, I will obey it with my whole heart.
35 Cause me to tread in the path of Your commands, || For I have delighted in it.
35 Guíame por la senda de tus mandamientos; porque en ella tengo mi voluntad.
35 Direct me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in them.
36 Incline my heart to Your testimonies, || And not to dishonest gain.
36 Inclina mi corazón á tus testimonios, y no á la avaricia.
36 Turn my heart toward your statutes, not toward selfish gain.
37 Remove my eyes from seeing vanity, || Quicken me in Your way.
37 Aparta mis ojos, que no vean la vanidad; avívame en tu camino.
37 Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things. Revive me in your ways.
38 Establish Your saying to Your servant, || That [is] concerning Your fear.
38 Confirma tu palabra á tu siervo, que te teme.
38 Fulfill your promise to your servant, that you may be feared.
39 Remove my reproach that I have feared, || For Your judgments [are] good.
39 Quita de mí el oprobio que he temido: porque buenos son tus juicios.
39 Take away my disgrace that I dread, for your ordinances are good.
40 Behold, I have longed for Your precepts, || Quicken me in Your righteousness,
40 He aquí yo he codiciado tus mandamientos: vivifícame en tu justicia.
40 Behold, I long for your precepts! Revive me in your righteousness. VAV
41 [WAW] And Your kindness meets me, O YHWH, || Your salvation according to Your saying.
41 VAU. Y venga á mí tu misericordia, oh Jehová; tu salud, conforme á tu dicho.
41 Let your loving kindness also come to me, Yahweh, your salvation, according to your word.
42 And I answer him who is reproaching me a word, || For I have trusted in Your word.
42 Y daré por respuesta á mi avergonzador, que en tu palabra he confiado.
42 So I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in your word.
43 And You do not utterly take away || The word of truth from my mouth, || Because I have hoped for Your judgment.
43 Y no quites de mi boca en ningún tiempo la palabra de verdad; porque á tu juicio espero.
43 Don’t snatch the word of truth out of my mouth, for I put my hope in your ordinances.
44 And I keep Your law continually, || For all time and forever.
44 Y guardaré tu ley siempre, por siglo de siglo.
44 So I will obey your law continually, forever and ever.
45 And I habitually walk in a broad place, || For I have sought Your precepts.
45 Y andaré en anchura, porque busqué tus mandamientos.
45 I will walk in liberty, for I have sought your precepts.
46 And I speak of Your testimonies before kings, || And I am not ashamed.
46 Y hablaré de tus testimonios delante de los reyes, y no me avergonzaré.
46 I will also speak of your statutes before kings, and will not be disappointed.
47 And I delight myself in Your commands, || That I have loved,
47 Y deleitaréme en tus mandamientos, que he amado.
47 I will delight myself in your commandments, because I love them.
48 And I lift up my hands to Your commands, || That I have loved, || And I meditate on Your statutes!
48 Alzaré asimismo mis manos á tus mandamientos, que amé; y meditaré en tus estatutos.
48 I reach out my hands for your commandments, which I love. I will meditate on your statutes. ZAYIN
49 [ZAYIN] Remember the word to Your servant, || On which You have caused me to hope.
49 ZAIN. Acuérdate de la palabra [dada] á tu siervo, en la cual me has hecho esperar.
49 Remember your word to your servant, because you gave me hope.
50 This [is] my comfort in my affliction, || That Your saying has quickened me.
50 Esta es mi consuelo en mi aflicción: porque tu dicho me ha vivificado.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has revived me.
51 The proud have utterly scorned me, || I have not turned aside from Your law.
51 Los soberbios se burlaron mucho de mí: [mas] no me he apartado de tu ley.
51 The arrogant mock me excessively, but I don’t swerve from your law.
52 I remembered Your judgments of old, O YHWH, || And I comfort myself.
52 Acordéme, oh Jehová, de tus juicios antiguos, y consoléme.
52 I remember your ordinances of old, Yahweh, and have comforted myself.
53 Horror has seized me, || Because of the wicked forsaking Your law.
53 Horror se apoderó de mí, á causa de los impíos que dejan tu ley.
53 Indignation has taken hold on me, because of the wicked who forsake your law.
54 Your statutes have been songs to me, || In the house of my sojournings.
54 Cánticos me fueron tus estatutos en la mansión de mis peregrinaciones.
54 Your statutes have been my songs in the house where I live.
55 I have remembered Your Name in the night, O YHWH, || And I keep Your law.
55 Acordéme en la noche de tu nombre, oh Jehová, y guardé tu ley.
55 I have remembered your name, Yahweh, in the night, and I obey your law.
56 This has been to me, || That I have kept Your precepts!
56 Esto tuve, porque guardaba tus mandamientos.
56 This is my way, that I keep your precepts. HETH
57 [HETH] YHWH [is] my portion; I have said I would keep Your words,
57 CHETH. Mi porción, oh Jehová, dije, será guardar tus palabras.
57 Yahweh is my portion. I promised to obey your words.
58 I appeased Your face with the whole heart, || Favor me according to Your saying.
58 Tu presencia supliqué de todo corazón: ten misericordia de mí según tu palabra.
58 I sought your favor with my whole heart. Be merciful to me according to your word.
59 I have reckoned my ways, || And turn back my feet to Your testimonies.
59 Consideré mis caminos, y torné mis pies á tus testimonios.
59 I considered my ways, and turned my steps to your statutes.
60 I have made haste, || And did not delay, to keep Your commands.
60 Apresuréme, y no me retardé en guardar tus mandamientos.
60 I will hurry, and not delay, to obey your commandments.
61 Cords of the wicked have surrounded me, || I have not forgotten Your law.
61 Compañías de impíos me han robado: [mas] no me he olvidado de tu ley.
61 The ropes of the wicked bind me, but I won’t forget your law.
62 At midnight I rise to give thanks to You, || For the judgments of Your righteousness.
62 A media noche me levantaba á alabarte sobre los juicios de tu justicia.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to you, because of your righteous ordinances.
63 I [am] a companion to all who fear You, || And to those keeping Your precepts.
63 Compañero soy yo de todos los que te temieren y guardaren tus mandamientos.
63 I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts.
64 Of Your kindness, O YHWH, the earth is full, || Teach me Your statutes!
64 De tu misericordia, oh Jehová, está llena la tierra: enséñame tus estatutos.
64 The earth is full of your loving kindness, Yahweh. Teach me your statutes. TETH
65 [TETH] You did good with Your servant, O YHWH, || According to Your word.

65 You have treated your servant well, according to your word, Yahweh.
66 Teach me the goodness of reason and knowledge, || For I have believed in Your commands.
66 Enséñame bondad de sentido y sabiduría; porque tus mandamientos he creído.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
67 Before I am afflicted, I am erring, || And now I have kept Your saying.
67 Antes que fuera yo humillado, descarriado andaba; mas ahora guardo tu palabra.
67 Before I was afflicted, I went astray; but now I observe your word.
68 You [are] good, and doing good, || Teach me Your statutes.
68 Bueno eres tú, y bienhechor: enséñame tus estatutos.
68 You are good, and do good. Teach me your statutes.
69 The proud have forged falsehood against me, || I keep Your precepts with the whole heart.
69 Contra mí forjaron mentira los soberbios: [mas] yo guardaré de todo corazón tus mandamientos.
69 The proud have smeared a lie upon me. With my whole heart, I will keep your precepts.
70 Their heart has been thick as fat, || I have delighted in Your law.
70 Engrasóse el corazón de ellos como sebo; mas yo en tu ley me he deleitado.
70 Their heart is as callous as the fat, but I delight in your law.
71 [It is] good for me that I have been afflicted, || That I might learn Your statutes.
71 Bueno me es haber sido humillado, para que aprenda tus estatutos.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes.
72 The Law of Your mouth [is] better to me || Than thousands of gold and silver!
72 Mejor me es la ley de tu boca, que millares de oro y plata.
72 The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. YODH
73 [YOD] Your hands made me and establish me, || Cause me to understand, and I learn Your commands.
73 JOD. Tus manos me hicieron y me formaron: hazme entender, y aprenderé tus mandamientos.
73 Your hands have made me and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments.
74 Those fearing You see me and rejoice, || Because I have hoped for Your word.
74 Los que te temen, me verán, y se alegrarán; porque en tu palabra he esperado.
74 Those who fear you will see me and be glad, because I have put my hope in your word.
75 I have known, O YHWH, || That Your judgments [are] righteous, || And [in] faithfulness You have afflicted me.
75 Conozco, oh Jehová, que tus juicios son justicia, y que conforme á tu fidelidad me afligiste.
75 Yahweh, I know that your judgments are righteous, that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
76 Please let Your kindness be to comfort me, || According to Your saying to Your servant.
76 Sea ahora tu misericordia para consolarme, conforme á lo que has dicho á tu siervo.
76 Please let your loving kindness be for my comfort, according to your word to your servant.
77 Your mercies meet me, and I live, || For Your law [is] my delight.
77 Vengan á mí tus misericordias, y viva; porque tu ley es mi deleite.
77 Let your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.
78 The proud are ashamed, || For [with] falsehood they dealt perversely with me. I meditate on Your precepts.
78 Sean avergonzados los soberbios, porque sin causa me han calumniado: yo empero, meditaré en tus mandamientos.
78 Let the proud be disappointed, for they have overthrown me wrongfully. I will meditate on your precepts.
79 Those fearing You turn back to me, || And those knowing Your testimonies.
79 Tórnense á mí los que te temen y conocen tus testimonios.
79 Let those who fear you turn to me. They will know your statutes.
80 My heart is perfect in Your statutes, || So that I am not ashamed.
80 Sea mi corazón íntegro en tus estatutos; porque no sea yo avergonzado.
80 Let my heart be blameless toward your decrees, that I may not be disappointed. KAPF
81 [KAPH] My soul has been consumed for Your salvation, || I have hoped for Your word.
81 CAPH. Desfallece mi alma por tu salud, esperando en tu palabra.
81 My soul faints for your salvation. I hope in your word.
82 My eyes have been consumed for Your word, || Saying, “When does it comfort me?”
82 Desfallecieron mis ojos por tu palabra, diciendo: ¿Cuándo me consolarás?
82 My eyes fail for your word. I say, “When will you comfort me?”
83 For I have been as a bottle in smoke, || I have not forgotten Your statutes.
83 Porque estoy como el odre al humo; mas no he olvidado tus estatutos.
83 For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke. I don’t forget your statutes.
84 How many [are] the days of Your servant? When do You execute judgment || Against my pursuers?
84 ¿Cuántos son los días de tu siervo? ¿cuándo harás juicio contra los que me persiguen?
84 How many are the days of your servant? When will you execute judgment on those who persecute me?
85 The proud have dug pits for me, || That [are] not according to Your law.
85 Los soberbios me han cavado hoyos; mas no [obran] según tu ley.
85 The proud have dug pits for me, contrary to your law.
86 All Your commands [are] faithfulness, || They have pursued me [with] falsehood, || Help me.
86 Todos tus mandamientos son verdad: sin causa me persiguen; ayúdame.
86 All of your commandments are faithful. They persecute me wrongfully. Help me!
87 They have almost consumed me on earth, || And I have not forsaken Your precepts.
87 Casi me han echado por tierra: mas yo no he dejado tus mandamientos.
87 They had almost wiped me from the earth, but I didn’t forsake your precepts.
88 Quicken me according to Your kindness, || And I keep the Testimony of Your mouth!
88 Vivifícame conforme á tu misericordia; y guardaré los testimonios de tu boca.
88 Preserve my life according to your loving kindness, so I will obey the statutes of your mouth. LAMEDH
89 [LAMED] For all time, O YHWH, Your word is set up in the heavens.
89 LAMED. Para siempre, oh Jehová, permanece tu palabra en los cielos.
89 Yahweh, your word is settled in heaven forever.
90 Your faithfulness from generation to generation, || You established earth, and it stands.
90 Por generación y generación es tu verdad: tú afirmaste la tierra, y persevera.
90 Your faithfulness is to all generations. You have established the earth, and it remains.
91 According to Your ordinances || They have stood this day, for the whole—Your servants.
91 Por tu ordenación perseveran hasta hoy [las cosas criadas]; porque todas ellas te sirven.
91 Your laws remain to this day, for all things serve you.
92 Unless Your law [were] my delights, || Then had I perished in my affliction.

92 Unless your law had been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
93 I do not forget Your precepts for all time, || For You have quickened me by them.

93 I will never forget your precepts, for with them, you have revived me.
94 I [am] Yours, save me, for I have sought Your precepts.

95 Your wicked waited for me to destroy me, || I understand Your testimonies.

95 The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me. I will consider your statutes.
96 I have seen an end of all perfection, || Your command [is] exceedingly broad!
96 A toda perfección he visto fin: ancho sobremanera es tu mandamiento.
96 I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commands are boundless. MEM
97 [MEM] O how I have loved Your law! It [is] my meditation all the day.

97 How I love your law! It is my meditation all day.
98 Your command makes me wiser than my enemies, || For it [is] before me for all time.
98 Me has hecho más sabio que mis enemigos con tus mandamientos; porque me son eternos.
98 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for your commandments are always with me.
99 I have acted wisely above all my teachers. For Your testimonies [are] my meditation.
99 Más que todos mis enseñadores he entendido: porque tus testimonios son mi meditación.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.
100 Above elderly—I understand more, || For I have kept Your precepts.
100 Más que los viejos he entendido, porque he guardado tus mandamientos.
100 I understand more than the aged, because I have kept your precepts.
101 I restrained my feet from every evil path, || So that I keep Your word.
101 De todo mal camino contuve mis pies, para guardar tu palabra.

102 I did not turn aside from Your judgments, || For You have directed me.
102 No me aparté de tus juicios; porque tú me enseñaste.
102 I have not turned away from your ordinances, for you have taught me.
103 How sweet Your saying has been to my palate, || Above honey to my mouth.
103 ¡Cuán dulces son á mi paladar tus palabras! más que la miel á mi boca.
103 How sweet are your promises to my taste, more than honey to my mouth!
104 I have understanding from Your precepts, || Therefore I have hated every false path!
104 De tus mandamientos he adquirido inteligencia: por tanto he aborrecido todo camino de mentira.
104 Through your precepts, I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. NUN
105 [NUN] Your word [is] a lamp to my foot, || And a light to my path.
105 NUN. Lámpara es á mis pies tu palabra, y lumbrera á mi camino.
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.
106 I have sworn, and I confirm, || To keep the judgments of Your righteousness.
106 Juré y ratifiqué el guardar los juicios de tu justicia.
106 I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will obey your righteous ordinances.
107 I have been afflicted very much, || O YHWH, quicken me, according to Your word.
107 Afligido estoy en gran manera: oh Jehová, vivifícame conforme á tu palabra.
107 I am afflicted very much. Revive me, Yahweh, according to your word.
108 Please accept [the] free-will offerings of my mouth, O YHWH, || And teach me Your judgments.
108 Ruégote, oh Jehová, te sean agradables los sacrificios voluntarios de mi boca; y enséñame tus juicios.
108 Accept, I beg you, the willing offerings of my mouth. Yahweh, teach me your ordinances.
109 My soul [is] in my hand continually, || And I have not forgotten Your law.
109 De continuo está mi alma en mi mano: mas no me he olvidado de tu ley.
109 My soul is continually in my hand, yet I won’t forget your law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, || And I did not wander from your precepts.
110 Pusiéronme lazo los impíos: empero yo no me desvié de tus mandamientos.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I haven’t gone astray from your precepts.
111 I have inherited Your testimonies for all time, || For they [are] the joy of my heart.

«Comentario» es el comienzo de una homilía o exposición sobre este capítulo (homilías de san Juan Crisóstomo; tratados, sermones y comentarios a los Salmos de san Agustín). «Cita» es una frase en la que las notas de la propia edición identifican la cita de un versículo de este capítulo; solo se conserva si el texto coincide con el versículo. Solo se usan obras de autoría segura. Los Salmos siguen la numeración hebrea (Agustín usa la de los Setenta: su Salmo 50 es aquí el 51).
