Tyndale Nuevo Testamento de Tyndale (1534) WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 Wherfore laye asyde all maliciousnes and all gyle and dissimulacion and envie and all backbytynge: 1 DEJANDO pues toda malicia, y todo engaño, y fingimientos, y envidias, y todas las detracciones,
1 Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,
2 and as newe borne babes desyre that reasonable mylke which is with out corrupcion that ye maye growe therin.
2 as newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow,
3 If so be that ye have tasted how plesaunt the lorde is 3 Si empero habéis gustado que el Señor es benigno;
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 to whom ye come as vnto a livynge stone disalowed of men but chosen of god and precious: 4 Al cual allegándoos, piedra viva, reprobada cierto de los hombres, empero elegida de Dios, preciosa,
4 Come to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.
5 and ye as lyvynge stones are made a spretuall housse and an holy presthode for to offer vp spretuall sacryfice acceptable to god by Iesus Christ.
5 You also as living stones are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 Wherfore it is contayned in the scripture: beholde I put in Sion an heed corner stone electe and precious: and he that beleveth on him shall not be ashamed.
6 Because it is contained in Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen and precious. He who believes in him will not be disappointed.”
7 Vnto you therfore which beleve he is precious: but vnto them which beleve not the stone which the bylders refused the same is made the heed stone in the corner 7 [Ella] es pues honor á vosotros que creéis: mas para los desobedientes, la piedra que los edificadores reprobaron, ésta fué hecha la cabeza del ángulo;
7 For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,”
8 and a stone to stomble at and a rocke to offende them which stomble at the worde and beleve not that where on they were set.
8 and, “a stumbling stone and a rock of offense.” For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosyn generacion a royall presthod an holy nacion and a peculiar people that ye shuld shewe the vertues of him that called you out of darknes into hys marvelous light 9 Mas vosotros sois linaje escogido, real sacerdocio, gente santa, pueblo adquirido, para que anunciéis las virtudes de aquel que os ha llamado de las tinieblas á su luz admirable:
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
10 which in tyme past were not a people yet are now the people of God: which were not vnder mercye but now have obteyned mercye.
10 In the past, you were not a people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Derly beloved I beseche you as straugers and pilgrems abstayne from flesshly lustes which fyght agaynst the soule 11 Amados, yo os ruego como á extranjeros y peregrinos, os abstengáis de los deseos carnales que batallan contra el alma,
11 Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,
12 and se that ye have honest conversacion amonge the getyls that they which backbyte you as evyll doars maye se youre good workes and prayse god in the daye of visitacion.
12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good works and glorify God in the day of visitation.
13 Submit youre selves vnto all manner ordinaunce of man for the lordes sake whether it be vnto the kynge as vnto the chefe heed: 13 Sed pues sujetos á toda ordenación humana por respeto á Dios: ya sea al rey, como á superior;
13 Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether to the king, as supreme,
14 other vnto rulars as vnto them that are sent of him for the punysshment of evyll doars: but for the laude of them that do well.
14 or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.
15 For so is the will of god that ye put to sylence the ygnorancie of the folyshe men: 15 Porque esta es la voluntad de Dios; que haciendo bien, hagáis callar la ignorancia de los hombres vanos:
15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.
16 as fre and not as havinge the libertie for a cloke of maliciousnes but even as the servautes of god.
16 Live as free people, yet not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.
17 Honoure all men. Love brotherly felishippe. Feare god and honour the kynge. 17 Honrad á todos. Amad la fraternidad. Temed á Dios. Honrad al rey.
17 Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
18 Servauntes obey youre masters with all feare not only yf they be good and courteous: but also though they be frowarde.
18 Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
19 For it is thankeworthye yf a man for conscience towarde god endure grefe sufferinge wrongfully.
19 For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God.
20 For what prayse is it if when ye be buffeted for youre fautes ye take it paciently? But and yf when ye do well ye suffer wronge and take it paciently then is there thanke with God. 20 Porque ¿qué gloria es, si pecando vosotros sois abofeteados, y lo sufrís? mas si haciendo bien sois afligidos, y lo sufrís, esto ciertamente es agradable delante de Dios.
20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
21 For herevnto verely were ye called: for Christ also suffered for vs levinge vs an insample that ye shuld folowe his steppes, 21 Porque para esto sois llamados; pues que también Cristo padeció por nosotros, dejándonos ejemplo, para que vosotros sigáis sus pisadas:
21 For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
22 which dyd no sinne nether was ther gyle founde in his mouth: 22 El cual no hizo pecado; ni fué hallado engaño en su boca:
22 who didn’t sin, “neither was deceit found in his mouth.”
23 which when he was reviled reviled not agayne: when he suffered he threatened not: but committed the cause to him that iudgeth ryghteously 23 Quien cuando le maldecían, no retornaba maldición; cuando padecía, no amenazaba, sino remitía [la causa] al que juzga justamente:
23 When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.
24 which his awne silfe bare oure synnes in his body on the tree that we shuld be delyvered from synne and shuld lyve in rightewesnes. By whose strypes ye were healed.
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
25 For ye were as shepe goinge astraye: but are now returned vnto the shepheerd and bisshoppe of youre soules.
25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
