1 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν λέγων,
1 Y JEHOVÁ habló á Moisés, diciendo:
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2 Κάμε την εκδίκησιν των υιών Ισραήλ κατά των Μαδιανιτών· έπειτα θέλεις προστεθή εις τον λαόν σου.
2 Haz la venganza de los hijos de Israel sobre los Madianitas; después serás recogido á tus pueblos.
2 “Avenge the children of Israel on the Midianites. Afterward you shall be gathered to your people.”
3 Και ελάλησεν ο Μωϋσής προς τον λαόν, λέγων, Ας οπλισθώσιν από σας άνδρες εις πόλεμον και ας υπάγωσιν εναντίον του Μαδιάμ, διά να εκδικήσωσι τον Κύριον κατά του Μαδιάμ·
3 Entonces Moisés habló al pueblo, diciendo: Armaos algunos de vosotros para la guerra, é irán contra Madián, y harán la venganza de Jehová en Madián.
3 Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm men from among you for war, that they may go against Midian, to execute Yahweh’s vengeance on Midian.
4 ανά χιλίους από πάσης φυλής, εκ πασών των φυλών του Ισραήλ, θέλετε αποστείλει εις τον πόλεμον.
4 Mil de cada tribu de todas las tribus de los hijos de Israel, enviaréis á la guerra.
4 You shall send one thousand out of every tribe, throughout all the tribes of Israel, to the war.”
5 Και εξηριθμήθησαν εκ των χιλιάδων του Ισραήλ χίλιοι από πάσης φυλής, δώδεκα χιλιάδες ώπλισμένοι εις πόλεμον.
5 Así fueron dados de los millares de Israel, mil por cada tribu, doce mil á punto de guerra.
5 So there were delivered, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand from every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6 Και απέστειλεν αυτούς ο Μωϋσής εις τον πόλεμον, χιλίους από πάσης φυλής, αυτούς και Φινεές τον υιόν του Ελεάζαρ του ιερέως, εις τον πόλεμον, μετά των σκευών των αγίων και μετά των σαλπίγγων του αλαλαγμού εις τας χείρας αυτού.
6 Y Moisés los envió á la guerra: mil de cada tribu envió: y Phinees, hijo de Eleazar sacerdote, [fué] á la guerra con los santos instrumentos, con las trompetas en su mano para tocar.
6 Moses sent them, one thousand of every tribe, to the war with Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
7 Και επολέμησαν εναντίον του Μαδιάμ, καθώς προσέταξε Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν, και εθανάτωσαν παν αρσενικόν.
7 Y pelearon contra Madián, como Jehová lo mandó á Moisés, y mataron á todo varón.
7 They fought against Midian, as Yahweh commanded Moses. They killed every male.
8 Και εκτός των θανατωθέντων και τους βασιλείς του Μαδιάμ εθανάτωσαν, τον Ευΐ και τον Ρεκέμ και τον Σούρ και τον Ουρ και τον Ρεβά, πέντε βασιλείς του Μαδιάμ· και τον Βαλαάμ υιόν του Βεώρ εθανάτωσαν εν μαχαίρα.
8 Mataron también, entre los muertos de ellos, á los reyes de Madián: Evi, y Recem, y Zur, y Hur, y Reba, cinco reyes de Madián: á Balaam también, hijo de Beor, mataron á cuchillo.
8 They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain: Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam the son of Beor with the sword.
9 Και ηχμαλώτισαν οι υιοί Ισραήλ τας γυναίκας του Μαδιάμ και τα παιδία αυτών, και πάντα τα κτήνη αυτών και πάντα τα ποίμνια αυτών και πάντα τα υπάρχοντα αυτών ελεηλάτησαν.
9 Y llevaron cautivas los hijos de Israel las mujeres de los Madianitas, y sus chiquitos y todas sus bestias, y todos sus ganados; y arrebataron toda su hacienda.
9 The children of Israel took the women of Midian captive with their little ones; and all their livestock, all their flocks, and all their goods, they took as plunder.
10 Και πάσας τας πόλεις αυτών κατά τας κατοικίας αυτών, και πάντας τους πύργους αυτών, κατέκαυσαν εν πυρί.
10 Y abrasaron con fuego todas sus ciudades, aldeas y castillos.
10 All their cities in the places in which they lived, and all their encampments, they burned with fire.
11 Και έλαβον πάντα τα λάφυρα και πάσαν την λεηλασίαν από ανθρώπου έως κτήνους.
11 Y tomaron todo el despojo, y toda la presa, así de hombres como de bestias.
11 They took all the captives, and all the plunder, both of man and of animal.
12 Και έφεραν προς τον Μωϋσήν και προς Ελεάζαρ τον ιερέα και προς την συναγωγήν των υιών Ισραήλ τους αιχμαλώτους, και τα λάφυρα και την λεηλασίαν, εις το στρατόπεδον, εις τας πεδιάδας του Μωάβ, τας παρά τον Ιορδάνην, κατέναντι της Ιεριχώ.
12 Y trajeron á Moisés, y á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á la congregación de los hijos de Israel, los cautivos y la presa y los despojos, al campo en los llanos de Moab, que están junto al Jordán de Jericó.
12 They brought the captives with the prey and the plunder, to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.
13 Και εξήλθον ο Μωϋσής και Ελεάζαρ ο ιερεύς και πάντες οι άρχοντες της συναγωγής εις συνάντησιν αυτών έξω του στρατοπέδου.
13 Y salieron Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote, y todos los príncipes de la congregación, á recibirlos fuera del campo.
13 Moses and Eleazar the priest, with all the princes of the congregation, went out to meet them outside of the camp.
14 Και εθυμώθη ο Μωϋσής εναντίον των αρχηγών του στρατεύματος, των χιλιάρχων και των εκατοντάρχων, των ελθόντων από της παρατάξεως του πολέμου·
14 Y enojóse Moisés contra los capitanes del ejército, [contra] los tribunos y centuriones que volvían de la guerra;
14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who came from the service of the war.
15 και είπε προς αυτούς ο Μωϋσής, Ζώσας αφήσατε πάσας τας γυναίκας;
15 Y díjoles Moisés: ¿Todas las mujeres habéis reservado?
15 Moses said to them, “Have you saved all the women alive?
16 ιδού, αύται έγειναν αιτία εις τους υιούς Ισραήλ, κατά την συμβουλήν του Βαλαάμ, να ανομήσωσιν εναντίον του Κυρίου εις την υπόθεσιν του Φεγώρ, και έγεινεν η πληγή επί της συναγωγής του Κυρίου·
16 He aquí ellas fueron á los hijos de Israel, por consejo de Balaam, para causar prevaricación contra Jehová en el negocio de Peor; por lo que hubo mortandad en la congregación de Jehová.
16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against Yahweh in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was among the congregation of Yahweh.
17 και τώρα θανατώσατε εκ των παιδίων πάντα τα αρσενικά, και θανατώσατε πάσας τας γυναίκας, όσαι εγνώρισαν άνδρα, κοιμηθείσαι μετ' αυτού·
17 Matad pues ahora todos los varones entre los niños: matad también toda mujer que haya conocido varón carnalmente.
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him.
18 πάντα όμως τα κοράσια, όσα δεν εγνώρισαν κοίτην ανδρός, φυλάξατε ζώντα δι' εαυτούς·
18 Y todas las niñas entre las mujeres, que no hayan conocido ayuntamiento de varón, os reservaréis vivas.
18 But all the girls, who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
19 και μείνατε έξω του στρατοπέδου επτά ημέρας· όστις εθανάτωσεν άνθρωπον, και όστις ήγγισε πεφονευμένον, καθαρίσθητε σεις και οι αιχμάλωτοί σας την τρίτην ημέραν και την εβδόμην ημέραν·
19 Y vosotros quedaos fuera del campo siete días: y todos los que hubieren matado persona, y cualquiera que hubiere tocado muerto, os purificaréis al tercero y al séptimo día, vosotros y vuestros cautivos.
19 “Encamp outside of the camp for seven days. Whoever has killed any person, and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, you and your captives.
20 και καθαρίσατε πάντα τα ιμάτια και πάντα τα σκεύη τα δερμάτινα και πάντα τα ειργασμένα εκ τριχών αιγός και πάντα τα ξύλινα σκεύη.
20 Asimismo purificaréis todo vestido, y toda prenda de pieles, y toda obra de pelos de cabra, y todo vaso de madera.
20 You shall purify every garment, and all that is made of skin, and all work of goats’ hair, and all things made of wood.”
21 Και είπεν Ελεάζαρ ο ιερεύς προς τους πολεμιστάς τους ερχομένους εις τον πόλεμον, Τούτο είναι το πρόσταγμα του νόμου, τον οποίον προσέταξεν ο Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν·
21 Y Eleazar el sacerdote dijo á los hombres de guerra que venían de la guerra: Esta es la ordenanza de la ley que Jehová ha mandado á Moisés:
21 Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who went to the battle, “This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded Moses.
22 πλην το χρυσίον και το αργύριον, τον χαλκόν, τον σίδηρον, τον κασσίτερον και τον μόλυβδον,
22 Ciertamente el oro, y la plata, metal, hierro, estaño, y plomo,
22 However the gold, and the silver, the bronze, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23 παν ό,τι δύναται να εμβή εις το πυρ, θέλετε περάσει διά του πυρός και θέλει είσθαι καθαρόν· πρέπει όμως να καθαρισθή και διά του ύδατος του καθαρισμού· και παν ό,τι δεν εμβαίνει εις το πυρ, θέλετε περάσει διά του ύδατος·
23 Todo lo que resiste el fuego, por fuego [lo] haréis pasar, y será limpio, bien que en las aguas de purificación habrá de purificarse: mas haréis pasar por agua todo lo que no aguanta el fuego.
23 everything that may withstand the fire, you shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water for impurity. All that doesn’t withstand the fire you shall make to go through the water.
24 και θέλετε πλύνει τα ιμάτιά σας την εβδόμην ημέραν και θέλετε είσθαι καθαροί· και μετά ταύτα θέλετε εισέλθει εις το στρατόπεδον.
24 Además lavaréis vuestros vestidos el séptimo día, y así seréis limpios; y después entraréis en el campo.
24 You shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean. Afterward you shall come into the camp.”
25 Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν λέγων,
25 Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:
25 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
26 Λάβε τον αριθμόν των λαφύρων της αιχμαλωσίας, από ανθρώπου έως κτήνους, συ και Ελεάζαρ ο ιερεύς και οι αρχηγοί των πατριών της συναγωγής·
26 Toma la cuenta de la presa que se ha hecho, así de las personas como de las bestias, tú y el sacerdote Eleazar, y las cabezas de los padres de la congregación:
26 “Count the plunder that was taken, both of man and of animal, you, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the congregation;
27 και διαίρεσον τα λάφυρα εις δύο μεταξύ των πολεμιστών των εξελθόντων εις τον πόλεμον και πάσης της συναγωγής·
27 Y partirás por mitad la presa entre los que pelearon, los que salieron á la guerra, y toda la congregación.
27 and divide the plunder into two parts: between the men skilled in war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation.
28 και αφαίρεσον διά τον Κύριον απόδομα εκ των ανδρών, των πολεμιστών, των εξελθόντων εις τον πόλεμον, ανά εν εκ πεντακοσίων, από ανθρώπων και από βοών και από όνων και από προβάτων·
28 Y apartarás para Jehová el tributo de los hombres de guerra, que salieron á la guerra: de quinientos uno, así de las personas como de los bueyes, de los asnos, y de las ovejas:
28 Levy a tribute to Yahweh of the men of war who went out to battle: one soul of five hundred; of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks.
29 από του ημίσεως αυτών θέλετε λάβει και δώσει εις Ελεάζαρ τον ιερέα προσφοράν του Κυρίου·
29 De la mitad de ellos lo tomarás; y darás á Eleazar el sacerdote la ofrenda de Jehová.
29 Take it from their half, and give it to Eleazar the priest, for Yahweh’s wave offering.
30 και από του ημίσεως μεριδίον των υιών Ισραήλ θέλεις λάβει εν μερίδιον από πεντήκοντα, από ανθρώπων, από βοών, από όνων και από προβάτων, από παντός κτήνους, και θέλεις δώσει αυτά εις τους Λευΐτας, τους φυλάττοντας τας φυλακάς της σκηνής του Κυρίου.
30 Y de la mitad perteneciente á los hijos de Israel tomarás uno de cincuenta, de las personas, de los bueyes, de los asnos, y de las ovejas, de todo animal; y los darás á los Levitas, que tienen la guarda del tabernáculo de Jehová.
30 Of the children of Israel’s half, you shall take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks, of all the livestock, and give them to the Levites, who perform the duty of Yahweh’s tabernacle.”
31 Και έκαμεν ο Μωϋσής και Ελεάζαρ ο ιερεύς καθώς προσέταξε Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν.
31 E hicieron Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote como Jehová mandó á Moisés.
31 Moses and Eleazar the priest did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
32 Και τα λάφυρα τα εναπολειφθέντα εκ της λεηλασίας, την οποίαν έκαμον οι άνδρες οι πολεμισταί, ήσαν πρόβατα εξακόσια, εβδομήκοντα πέντε χιλιάδες,
32 Y fué la presa, el resto de la presa que tomaron los hombres de guerra, seiscientas y setenta y cinco mil ovejas,
32 Now the plunder, over and above the booty which the men of war took, was six hundred seventy-five thousand sheep,
33 και βόες εβδομήκοντα δύο χιλιάδες,
33 Y setenta y dos mil bueyes,
33 seventy-two thousand head of cattle,
35 και ψυχαί ανθρώπων, από των γυναικών αίτινες δεν εγνώρισαν κοίτην ανδρός, πάσαι αι ψυχαί, τριάκοντα δύο χιλιάδες.
35 Y en cuanto á personas, de mujeres que no habían conocido ayuntamiento de varón, en todas treinta y dos mil.
35 and thirty-two thousand persons in all, of the women who had not known man by lying with him.
36 Και το ήμισυ, το μερίδιον των εξελθόντων εις τον πόλεμον, ήτο κατά τον αριθμόν, τα πρόβατα τριακόσια τριάκοντα επτά χιλιάδες και πεντακόσια·
36 Y la mitad, la parte de los que habían salido á la guerra, fué el número de trescientas treinta y siete mil y quinientas ovejas.
36 The half, which was the portion of those who went out to war, was in number three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep;
37 και το απόδομα του Κυρίου από των προβάτων ήτο εξακόσια εβδομήκοντα πέντε·
37 Y el tributo para Jehová de las ovejas, fué seiscientas setenta y cinco.
37 and Yahweh’s tribute of the sheep was six hundred seventy-five.
38 και οι βόες τριάκοντα εξ χιλιάδες, και το απόδομα του Κυρίου εβδομήκοντα δύο·
38 Y de los bueyes, treinta y seis mil: y de ellos el tributo para Jehová, setenta y dos.
38 The cattle were thirty-six thousand, of which Yahweh’s tribute was seventy-two.
39 και οι όνοι τριάκοντα χιλιάδες και πεντακόσιοι, και το απόδομα του Κυρίου εις και εξήκοντα·
39 Y de los asnos, treinta mil y quinientos: y de ellos el tributo para Jehová, setenta y uno.
39 The donkeys were thirty thousand five hundred, of which Yahweh’s tribute was sixty-one.
40 και ψυχαί ανθρώπων ήσαν δεκαέξ χιλιάδες, και το απόδομα του Κυρίου τριάκοντα δύο ψυχαί.
40 Y de las personas, diez y seis mil: y de ellas el tributo para Jehová, treinta y dos personas.
40 The persons were sixteen thousand, of whom Yahweh’s tribute was thirty-two persons.
41 Και έδωκεν ο Μωϋσής το απόδομα, την προσφοράν του Κυρίου, εις Ελεάζαρ τον ιερέα, καθώς προσέταξε Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν.
41 Y dió Moisés el tributo, por elevada ofrenda á Jehová, á Eleazar el sacerdote, como Jehová lo mandó á Moisés.
41 Moses gave the tribute, which was Yahweh’s wave offering, to Eleazar the priest, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
42 Και από του ημίσεως μεριδίου των υιών Ισραήλ, το οποίον ο Μωϋσής εξεχώρισεν από του μεριδίου των ανδρών των πολεμιστών·
42 Y de la mitad para los hijos de Israel, que apartó Moisés de los hombres que habían ido á la guerra;
42 Of the children of Israel’s half, which Moses divided off from the men who fought
43 και τούτο το ήμισυ της συναγωγής ήτο πρόβατα τριακόσια τριάκοντα επτά χιλιάδες και πεντακόσια,
43 (La mitad para la congregación fué: de las ovejas, trescientas treinta y siete mil y quinientas;
43 (now the congregation’s half was three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,
44 και βόες τριάκοντα εξ χιλιάδες,
44 Y de los bueyes, treinta y seis mil;
44 thirty-six thousand head of cattle,
45 και όνοι τριάκοντα χιλιάδες και πεντακόσιοι,
45 Y de los asnos, treinta mil y quinientos;
45 thirty thousand five hundred donkeys,
46 και ψυχαί ανθρώπων δεκαέξ χιλιάδες·
46 Y de las personas, diez y seis mil:)
46 and sixteen thousand persons),
47 και έλαβεν ο Μωϋσής από του ημίσεως μεριδίου των υιών Ισραήλ ανά εν εκ πεντήκοντα, από ανθρώπων και από κτηνών, και έδωκεν αυτά εις τους Λευΐτας, τους φυλάττοντας τας φυλακάς της σκηνής του Κυρίου, καθώς προσέταξε Κύριος εις τον Μωϋσήν
47 De la mitad, pues, para los hijos de Israel tomó Moisés uno de cada cincuenta, así de las personas como de los animales, y diólos á los Levitas, que tenían la guarda del tabernáculo de Jehová; como Jehová lo había mandado á Moisés.
47 even of the children of Israel’s half, Moses took one drawn out of every fifty, both of man and of animal, and gave them to the Levites, who performed the duty of Yahweh’s tabernacle, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
48 Και προσήλθον εις τον Μωϋσήν οι αρχηγοί οι επί των χιλιάδων του στρατεύματος, χιλίαρχοι και εκατόνταρχοι,
48 Y llegaron á Moisés los jefes de los millares de aquel ejército, los tribunos y centuriones;
48 The officers who were over the thousands of the army, the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, came near to Moses.
49 και είπον προς τον Μωϋσήν, Οι δούλοί σου έλαβον τον αριθμόν των ανδρών των πολεμιστών των υπό την επιστασίαν ημών, και δεν λείπει εξ ημών ουδέ είς·
49 Y dijeron á Moisés: Tus siervos han tomado razón de los hombres de guerra que están en nuestro poder, y ninguno ha faltado de nosotros.
49 They said to Moses, “Your servants have taken the sum of the men of war who are under our command, and there lacks not one man of us.
50 και εφέραμε τα δώρα του Κυρίου, έκαστος ό,τι εύρηκε, σκεύη χρυσά, αλύσους και βραχιόλια, δακτυλίδια, ενώτια και περιδέραια, διά να γείνη εξιλέωσις υπέρ των ψυχών ημών ενώπιον του Κυρίου.
50 Por lo cual hemos ofrecido á Jehová ofrenda, cada uno de lo que ha hallado, vasos de oro, brazaletes, manillas, anillos, zarcillos, y cadenas, para hacer expiación por nuestras almas delante de Jehová.
50 We have brought Yahweh’s offering, what every man found: gold ornaments, armlets, bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and necklaces, to make atonement for our souls before Yahweh.”
51 Και έλαβεν ο Μωϋσής και Ελεάζαρ ο ιερεύς το χρυσίον παρ' αυτών όλον εις σκεύη ειργασμένα.
51 Y Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar recibieron el oro de ellos, alhajas, todas elaboradas.
51 Moses and Eleazar the priest took their gold, even all worked jewels.
52 Και παν το χρυσίον της προσφοράς των χιλιάρχων και εκατοντάρχων, το οποίον προσέφεραν εις τον Κύριον, ήτο δεκαέξ χιλιάδες επτακόσιοι πεντήκοντα σίκλοι.
52 Y todo el oro de la ofrenda que ofrecieron á Jehová de los tribunos y centuriones, fué diez y seis mil setecientos y cincuenta siclos.
52 All the gold of the wave offering that they offered up to Yahweh, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred fifty shekels.
53 Διότι οι άνδρες οι πολεμισταί είχον λαφυραγωγήσει έκαστος δι' εαυτόν.
53 Los hombres del ejército habían pillado cada uno para sí.
53 The men of war had taken booty, every man for himself.
54 Και έλαβεν ο Μωϋσής και Ελεάζαρ ο ιερεύς το χρυσίον παρά των χιλιάρχων και εκατοντάρχων και έφεραν αυτό εις την σκηνήν του μαρτυρίου εις μνημόσυνον των υιών Ισραήλ ενώπιον του Κυρίου.
54 Recibieron, pues, Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar, el oro de los tribunos y centuriones, y trajéronlo al tabernáculo del testimonio, por memoria de los hijos de Israel delante de Jehová.
54 Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the Tent of Meeting for a memorial for the children of Israel before Yahweh.

«Comentario» es el comienzo de una homilía o exposición sobre este capítulo (homilías de san Juan Crisóstomo; tratados, sermones y comentarios a los Salmos de san Agustín). «Cita» es una frase en la que las notas de la propia edición identifican la cita de un versículo de este capítulo; solo se conserva si el texto coincide con el versículo. Solo se usan obras de autoría segura. Los Salmos siguen la numeración hebrea (Agustín usa la de los Setenta: su Salmo 50 es aquí el 51).
