1 Ότε ο Ισραήλ ήτο νήπιον, τότε εγώ ηγάπησα αυτόν και εξ Αιγύπτου εκάλεσα τον υιόν μου.
1 CUANDO Israel era muchacho, yo lo amé, y de Egipto llamé á mi hijo.
1 “When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
2 Όσον εκάλουν αυτούς, τόσον αυτοί ανεχώρουν απ' έμπροσθεν αυτών· εθυσίαζον εις τους Βααλείμ και εθυμίαζον εις τα γλυπτά.
2 Como los llamaban, así ellos se iban de su presencia; á los Baales sacrificaban, y á las esculturas ofrecían sahumerios.
2 They called to them, so they went from them. They sacrificed to the Baals, and burned incense to engraved images.
3 Εγώ εδίδαξα έτι τον Εφραΐμ να περιπατή, πιάνων αυτόν από των βραχιόνων αυτού· αλλά δεν εγνώρισαν ότι ιάτρευον αυτούς.
3 Yo con todo eso guiaba en pies al mismo Ephraim, tomándolos de sus brazos; y no conocieron que yo los cuidaba.
3 Yet I taught Ephraim to walk. I took them by their arms, but they didn’t know that I healed them.
4 Έσυρα αυτούς με σχοινία ανθρώπου, με δεσμούς αγάπης· και ήμην εις αυτούς ως οι αφαιρούντες τον ζυγόν επάνωθεν των σιαγόνων αυτών, και έθεσα τροφήν έμπροσθεν αυτών.
4 Con cuerdas humanas los traje, con cuerdas de amor: y fuí para ellos como los que alzan el yugo de sobre sus mejillas, y llegué hacia él la comida.
4 I drew them with cords of a man, with ties of love; and I was to them like those who lift up the yoke on their necks; and I bent down to him and I fed him.
5 Δεν θέλει επιστρέψει εις την γην της Αιγύπτου, αλλ' ο Ασσύριος θέλει είσθαι βασιλεύς αυτού, διότι δεν ηθέλησαν να επιστραφώσι.
5 No tornará á tierra de Egipto, antes el mismo Assur será su rey, porque no se quisieron convertir.
5 “They won’t return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian will be their king, because they refused to repent.
6 Και η ρομφαία θέλει επιπέσει επί τας πόλεις αυτού και θέλει αναλώσει τους ισχυρούς αυτού και καταφάγει, ένεκα των διαβουλίων αυτών.
6 Y caerá espada sobre sus ciudades, y consumirá sus aldeas; consumirálas á causa de sus consejos.
6 The sword will fall on their cities, and will destroy the bars of their gates, and will put an end to their plans.
7 Και ο λαός μου είναι προσκεκολλημένος εις την αποστασίαν την κατ' εμού· αν και εκαλέσθησαν προς τον Ύψιστον, ουδείς όμως ύψωσεν αυτόν.
7 Entre tanto, está mi pueblo adherido á la rebelión contra mí: aunque lo llaman al Altísimo, ninguno absolutamente quiere ensalzar[le].
7 My people are determined to turn from me. Though they call to the Most High, he certainly won’t exalt them.
8 Πως θέλω σε παραδώσει, Εφραΐμ; πως θέλω σε εγκαταλίπει, Ισραήλ; πως θέλω σε κάμει ως Αδαμά; πως θέλω σε θέσει ως Σεβωείμ; η καρδία μου μετεστράφη εντός μου, τα σπλάγχνα μου συνεκινήθησαν.
8 ¿Cómo tengo de dejarte, oh Ehpraim? ¿he de entregarte yo, Israel? ¿cómo podré yo hacerte como Adma, ni ponerte como á Zeboim? Mi corazón se revuelve dentro de mí, inflámanse todas mis conmiseraciones.
8 “How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me, my compassion is aroused.
9 Δεν θέλω εκτελέσει την έξαψιν του θυμού μου, δεν θέλω επιστρέψει εις εξολοθρευμόν του Εφραΐμ· διότι εγώ είμαι Θεός και ουχί άνθρωπος, Άγιος εν τω μέσω σου· και δεν θέλω εισέλθει εν θυμώ.
9 No ejecutaré el furor de mi ira, no volveré para destruir á Ephraim: porque Dios soy, y no hombre; el Santo en medio de ti: y no entraré en la ciudad.
9 I will not execute the fierceness of my anger. I will not return to destroy Ephraim, for I am God, and not man—the Holy One among you. I will not come in wrath.
10 Κατόπιν του Κυρίου θέλουσι περιπατεί· ως λέων θέλει βρυχάσθαι· όταν αυτός βρυχηθή, τότε θέλουσι σπεύσει εκστατικά τα τέκνα από της δύσεως·
10 En pos de Jehová caminarán: él bramará como león: cual león rugirá él de cierto, y los hijos se moverán azorados del occidente.
10 They will walk after Yahweh, who will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children will come trembling from the west.
11 θέλουσι σπεύσει εκστατικά ως πτηνόν από της Αιγύπτου και ως περιστερά από της γης της Ασσυρίας, και θέλω αποκαταστήσει αυτούς εν τοις οίκοις αυτών, λέγει Κύριος.
11 Como ave se moverán velozmente de Egipto, y de la tierra de Asiria como paloma; y pondrélos en sus casas, dice Jehová.
11 They will come trembling like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will settle them in their houses,” says Yahweh.
12 Ο Εφραΐμ με περιεκύκλωσε με ψεύδη, και ο οίκος Ισραήλ με απάτην· αλλ' ο Ιούδας έτι έχει εξουσίαν μετά του Θεού και είναι πιστός μετά των αγίων.

12 Ephraim surrounds me with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit. Judah still strays from God, and is unfaithful to the Holy One.
