1 Ово су уредбе и закони које ћете држати и творити у земљи коју ти је Господ Бог отаца твојих дао да је наследиш, докле сте год живи на земљи.
1 ESTOS son los estatutos y derechos que cuidaréis de poner por obra, en la tierra que Jehová el Dios de tus padres te ha dado para que la poseas, todos los días que vosotros viviereis sobre la tierra.
1 These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess all the days that you live on the earth.
2 Раскопајте сасвим сва места у којима су служили боговима својим народи које ћете наследити, по високим брдима и по хумовима и под сваким зеленим дрветом.
2 Destruiréis enteramente todos los lugares donde las gentes que vosotros heredareis sirvieron á sus dioses, sobre los montes altos, y sobre los collados, y debajo de todo árbol espeso:
2 You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods: on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
3 Оборите олтаре њихове и разбијте ликове њихове, и лугове њихове попалите огњем, и резане богове њихове изломите, и истребите име њихово са оног места.
3 Y derribaréis sus altares, y quebraréis sus imágenes, y sus bosques consumiréis con fuego: y destruiréis las esculturas de sus dioses, y extirparéis el nombre de ellas de aquel lugar.
3 You shall break down their altars, dash their pillars in pieces, and burn their Asherah poles with fire. You shall cut down the engraved images of their gods. You shall destroy their name out of that place.
4 Не чините тако Господу Богу свом.
4 No haréis así á Jehová vuestro Dios.
4 You shall not do so to Yahweh your God.
5 Него Га тражите у месту које изабере Господ Бог ваш између свих племена ваших себи за стан да онде намести име своје, и онамо идите.
5 Mas el lugar que Jehová vuestro Dios escogiere de todas vuestras tribus, para poner allí su nombre para su habitación, ése buscaréis, y allá iréis:
5 But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, you shall seek his habitation, and you shall come there.
6 Онамо носите жртве своје паљенице и друге жртве своје и десетке своје и приносе руку својих и завете своје и драговољне приносе своје и првине стоке своје крупне и ситне.
6 Y allí llevaréis vuestros holocaustos, y vuestros sacrificios, y vuestros diezmos, y la ofrenda elevada de vuestras manos, y vuestros votos, y vuestras ofrendas voluntarias, y los primerizos de vuestras vacas y de vuestras ovejas:
6 You shall bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, your vows, your free will offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock there.
7 И једите онде пред Господом Богом својим, и веселите се ви и породице ваше свачим, за шта се прихватите руком својом, чим те благослови Господ Бог твој.
7 Y comeréis allí delante de Jehová vuestro Dios, y os alegraréis, vosotros y vuestras familias, en toda obra de vuestras manos en que Jehová tu Dios te hubiere bendecido.
7 There you shall eat before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.
8 Не чините како ми сада овде чинимо, шта је коме драго.
8 No haréis como todo lo que nosotros hacemos aquí ahora, cada uno lo que le parece,
8 You shall not do all the things that we do here today, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;
9 Јер још нисте дошли до одмора и наследства, које ти даје Господ Бог твој.
9 Porque aun hasta ahora no habéis entrado al reposo y á la heredad que os da Jehová vuestro Dios.
9 for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance which Yahweh your God gives you.
10 Него кад пређете преко Јордана, и станете живети у земљи коју вам даје Господ Бог ваш да је наследите, и смири вас од свих непријатеља ваших унаоколо, те станете живети без страха,
10 Mas pasaréis el Jordán, y habitaréis en la tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios os hace heredar, y él os dará reposo de todos vuestros enemigos alrededor, y habitaréis seguros.
10 But when you go over the Jordan and dwell in the land which Yahweh your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety,
11 онда у место које изабере Господ Бог ваш да у њему настани име своје, донесите све што вам ја заповедам, жртве своје паљенице и друге жртве своје, десетке своје и приносе руку својих и све што буде најбоље у ономе што заветујете Господу.
11 Y al lugar que Jehová vuestro Dios escogiere para hacer habitar en él su nombre, allí llevaréis todas las cosas que yo os mando: vuestros holocaustos, y vuestros sacrificios, vuestros diezmos, y las ofrendas elevadas de vuestras manos, y todo lo escogido de vuestros votos que hubiereis prometido á Jehová;
11 then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.
12 И веселите се пред Господом Богом својим ви и синови ваши и кћери ваше и слуге ваше и слушкиње ваше, и Левит који је у месту вашем, јер он нема део ни наследство с вама.
12 Y os alegraréis delante de Jehová vuestro Dios, vosotros, y vuestros hijos, y vuestras hijas, y vuestros siervos, y vuestras siervas, y el Levita que estuviere en vuestras poblaciones: por cuanto no tiene parte ni heredad con vosotros.
12 You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God—you, and your sons, your daughters, your male servants, your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
13 Чувај се да не приносиш жртава својих паљеница на коме год месту, које угледаш;
13 Guárdate, que no ofrezcas tus holocaustos en cualquier lugar que vieres;
13 Be careful that you don’t offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;
14 него на оном месту које изабере Господ Бог у једном од твојих племена, онде приноси жртве своје паљенице, и онде чини све што ти заповедам.
14 Mas en el lugar que Jehová escogiere, en una de tus tribus, allí ofrecerás tus holocaustos, y allí harás todo lo que yo te mando.
14 but in the place which Yahweh chooses in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.
15 Али ћеш моћи клати и јести месо како ти душа зажели у сваком месту свом по благослову Господа Бога свог, који ти да; чист и нечист може јести као срну и јелена.
15 Con todo, podrás matar y comer carne en todas tus poblaciones conforme al deseo de tu alma, según la bendición de Jehová tu Dios que él te habrá dado: el inmundo y el limpio la comerá, como [la] de corzo ó de ciervo:
15 Yet you may kill and eat meat within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to Yahweh your God’s blessing which he has given you. The unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle and the deer.
16 Само крв не једите; пролијте је на земљу као воду.
16 Salvo que sangre no comeréis; sobre la tierra la derramaréis como agua.
16 Only you shall not eat the blood. You shall pour it out on the earth like water.
17 Нећеш моћи јести у месту свом десетка од жита свог ни од вина свог ни од уља свог, ни првина од стоке своје крупне и ситне, ни оног што заветујеш; ни приноса драговољних, ни приноса руку својих.
17 Ni podrás comer en tus poblaciones el diezmo de tu grano, ó de tu vino, ó de tu aceite, ni los primerizos de tus vacas, ni de tus ovejas, ni tus votos que prometieres, ni tus ofrendas voluntarias, ni las elevadas ofrendas de tus manos:
17 You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your free will offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand;
18 Него то једи пред Господом Богом својим на месту које изабере Господ Бог твој, ти, син твој и кћи твоја и слуга твој и слушкиња твоја, и Левит који је у месту твом; и весели се пред Господом Богом својим свачим за шта се прихватиш руком.
18 Mas delante de Jehová tu Dios las comerás, en el lugar que Jehová tu Dios hubiere escogido, tú, y tu hijo, y tu hija, y tu siervo, y tu sierva, y el Levita que está en tus poblaciones: y alegrarte has delante de Jehová tu Dios en toda obra de tus manos.
18 but you shall eat them before Yahweh your God in the place which Yahweh your God shall choose: you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates. You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God in all that you put your hand to.
19 Чувај се да не оставиш Левита док си год жив на земљи.
19 Ten cuidado de no desamparar al Levita en todos tus días sobre tu tierra.
19 Be careful that you don’t forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.
20 Кад рашири Господ Бог твој међе твоје, као што ти је казао, ако кажеш: Да једем меса, кад душа твоја жели да једе меса, једи меса по свој жељи душе своје.
20 Cuando Jehová tu Dios ensanchare tu término, como él te ha dicho, y tú dijeres, Comeré carne, porque deseó tu alma comerla, conforme á todo el deseo de tu alma comerás carne.
20 When Yahweh your God enlarges your border, as he has promised you, and you say, “I want to eat meat,” because your soul desires to eat meat, you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul.
21 Ако би било далеко од тебе место које Господ Бог твој изабере да онде намести име своје, закољи од стоке своје крупне или ситне, коју ти да Господ, као што сам ти заповедио, и једи у свом месту по жељи душе своје.
21 Cuando estuviere lejos de ti el lugar que Jehová tu Dios habrá escogido, para poner allí su nombre, matarás de tus vacas y de tus ovejas, que Jehová te hubiere dado, como te he mandado yo, y comerás en tus puertas según todo lo que deseare tu alma.
21 If the place which Yahweh your God shall choose to put his name is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which Yahweh has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul.
22 Како се једе срна и јелен, онако једи; и чист и нечист нека једе.
22 Lo mismo que se come el corzo y el ciervo, así las comerás: el inmundo y el limpio comerán también de ellas.
22 Even as the gazelle and as the deer is eaten, so you shall eat of it. The unclean and the clean may eat of it alike.
23 Само пази да не једеш крв; јер је крв душа, па не једи душу с месом.
23 Solamente que te esfuerces á no comer sangre: porque la sangre es el alma; y no has de comer el alma juntamente con su carne.
23 Only be sure that you don’t eat the blood; for the blood is the life. You shall not eat the life with the meat.
24 Не једи је; него пролиј на земљу као воду.
24 No la comerás: en tierra la derramarás como agua.
24 You shall not eat it. You shall pour it out on the earth like water.
25 Не једи је, да би добро било теби и синовима твојим након тебе, кад чиниш оно што је угодно Господу.
25 No comerás de ella; para que te vaya bien á ti, y á tus hijos después de ti, cuando hicieres lo recto en ojos de Jehová.
25 You shall not eat it, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, when you do that which is right in Yahweh’s eyes.
26 Али ствари своје свете, које имаш, и што заветујеш, узми и дођи на место које изабере Господ.
26 Empero las cosas que tuvieres tú consagradas, y tus votos, las tomarás, y vendrás al lugar que Jehová hubiere escogido:
26 Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take and go to the place which Yahweh shall choose.
27 И принеси жртве своје паљенице, месо и крв, на олтару Господа Бога свог; крв пак од других жртава твојих нека се пролије на олтар Господа Бога твог, а месо једи.
27 Y ofrecerás tus holocaustos, la carne y la sangre, sobre el altar de Jehová tu Dios: y la sangre de tus sacrificios será derramada sobre el altar de Jehová tu Dios, y comerás la carne.
27 You shall offer your burnt offerings, the meat and the blood, on Yahweh your God’s altar. The blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on Yahweh your God’s altar, and you shall eat the meat.
28 Чувај и слушај све ове речи које ти ја заповедам, да би добро било теби и синовима твојим након тебе довека кад чиниш шта је добро и право пред Господом Богом твојим.
28 Guarda y escucha todas estas palabras que yo te mando, porque te vaya bien á ti y á tus hijos después de ti para siempre, cuando hicieres lo bueno y lo recto en los ojos de Jehová tu Dios.
28 Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in Yahweh your God’s eyes.
29 Кад истреби Господ Бог твој испред тебе народе ка којима идеш да наследиш земљу њихову, и наследивши је кад се настаниш у земљи њиховој,
29 Cuando hubiere devastado delante de ti Jehová tu Dios las naciones á donde tú vas para poseerlas, y las heredares, y habitares en su tierra,
29 When Yahweh your God cuts off the nations from before you where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land,
30 чувај се да се не ухватиш у замку пошавши за њима пошто се потру испред тебе, и да не потражиш богове њихове, и кажеш: Како су ови народи служили својим боговима, тако ћу и ја чинити.
30 Guárdate que no tropieces en pos de ellas, después que fueren destruídas delante de ti: no preguntes acerca de sus dioses, diciendo: De la manera que servían aquellas gentes á sus dioses, así haré yo también.
30 be careful that you are not ensnared to follow them after they are destroyed from before you, and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.”
31 Не чини тако Господу Богу свом; јер они чинише својим боговима све што је гадно пред Господом и на шта Он мрзи; јер су и синове своје и кћери своје сажизали боговима својим.
31 No harás así á Jehová tu Dios; porque todo lo que Jehová aborrece, hicieron ellos á sus dioses; pues aun á sus hijos é hijas quemaban en el fuego á sus dioses.
31 You shall not do so to Yahweh your God; for every abomination to Yahweh, which he hates, they have done to their gods; for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.
32 Шта вам год ја заповедам све држите и творите, нити шта додајте к томе ни одузмите од тога.
32 Cuidaréis de hacer todo lo que yo os mando: no añadirás á ello, ni quitarás de ello.
32 Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it.

How these were chosen
“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
This is the special and peculiar place of true worship; for it is said "Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place...but in the place the Lord thy God shall choose." Now what is a spiritual burnt offering?
