BBE Biblia en inglés básico WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) PT1904 Texto Patriarcal 1904 (acentuado, edición de eBible) 1 Now Peter and John were going up to the Temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer; 1 Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man who from birth had had no power in his legs, was taken there every day, and put down at the door of the Temple which is named Beautiful, requesting money from those who went into the Temple; 2 A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple.
3 He then, seeing Peter and John going into the Temple, made a request to them. 3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.
4 And Peter, looking at him, with John, said, Keep your eyes on us. 4 Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”
5 And he gave attention to them, hoping to get something from them. 5 He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.
6 But Peter said, I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up on your feet. 6 But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”
7 And he took him by his right hand, lifting him up; and straight away his feet and the bones of his legs became strong, 7 He took him by the right hand and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.
8 And, jumping up, he got on to his feet and went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and giving praise to God. 8 Leaping up, he stood and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 9 All the people saw him walking and praising God.
10 And they saw that it was the man who made requests for money at the door of the Temple, and they were full of wonder and surprise at what had taken place. 10 They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
11 And while he kept his hands on Peter and John, all the people came running together to the covered way which is named Solomon's, full of wonder. 11 As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12 And when Peter saw it he said to the people, You men of Israel, why are you so greatly surprised at this man? or why are you looking at us as if by our power or virtue we had given him the use of his legs? 12 When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?
12 ἰδὼν δὲ Πέτρος ἀπεκρίνατο πρὸς τὸν λαόν· ἄνδρες Ἰσραηλῖται, τί θαυμάζετε ἐπὶ τούτῳ, ἢ ἡμῖν τί ἀτενίζετε ὡς ἰδίᾳ δυνάμει ἢ εὐσεβείᾳ πεποιηκόσι τοῦ περιπατεῖν αὐτόν;
13 The God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has given glory to his servant Jesus; whom you gave up, turning your backs on him, when Pilate had made the decision to let him go free. 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.
14 But you would have nothing to do with the Holy and Upright One, and made request for a man of blood to be given to you, 14 But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
15 And put to death the Lord of life; whom God gave back from the dead; of which fact we are witnesses. 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.
16 And his name, through faith in his name, has made this man strong, whom you see and have knowledge of: yes, the faith which is through him has made him well, before you all. 16 By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17 And now, my brothers, I am conscious that you did this, as did your rulers, without knowledge. 17 “Now, brothers, I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
18 But the things which God had made clear before, by the mouth of all the prophets, that the Christ would have to undergo, he has put into effect in this way. 18 But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.
19 So then, let your hearts be changed and be turned to God, so that your sins may be completely taken away, and times of blessing may come from the Lord; 19 “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,
20 And that he may send the Christ who was marked out for you from the first, even Jesus: 20 and that he may send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for you before,
21 Who is to be kept in heaven till the time when all things are put right, of which God has given word by the mouth of his holy prophets, who have been from the earliest times. 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.
22 For Moses said, The Lord will give you a prophet from among your people, like me; you will give ear to everything which he will say to you. 22 For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.
23 And every soul who does not give attention to that prophet, will be cut off from among the people. 23 It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
24 And all the prophets from Samuel and those who came after, every one of them, gave word of these days. 24 Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, also told of these days.
25 You are the sons of the prophets, and of the agreement which God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, Through your seed a blessing will come on all the families of the earth. 25 You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’
26 To you, first, God sent his servant, blessing you by turning every one of you from his sins. 26 God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”
