DRB Douay-Rheims (revisión Challoner), edición estadounidense de 1899 WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 And he said to his disciples: It is impossible that scandals should not come: but woe to him through whom they come.
1 He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
2 It were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should scandalize one of these little ones.
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Take heed to yourselves. If thy brother sin against thee, reprove him: and if he do penance, forgive him.
3 Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.
4 And if he sin against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day be converted unto thee, saying, I repent; forgive him.
4 If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
5 And the apostles said to the Lord: Increase our faith.
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
6 And the Lord said: If you had faith like to a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this mulberry tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou transplanted into the sea: and it would obey you.
6 The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7 But which of you having a servant ploughing, or feeding cattle, will say to him, when he is come from the field: Immediately go, sit down to meat: 7 ¿Y quién de vosotros tiene un siervo que ara ó apacienta, que vuelto del campo le diga luego: Pasa, siéntate á la mesa?
7 But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table’?
8 And will not rather say to him: Make ready my supper, and gird thyself, and serve me, whilst I eat and drink, and afterwards thou shalt eat and drink?
8 Wouldn’t he rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?
9 Doth he thank that servant, for doing the things which he commanded him?
9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
10 I think not. So you also, when you shall have done all these things that are commanded you, say: We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which we ought to do. 10 Así también vosotros, cuando hubiereis hecho todo lo que os es mandado, decid: Siervos inútiles somos, porque lo que debíamos hacer, hicimos.
10 Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”
11 And it came to pass, as he was going to Jerusalem, he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
11 As he was on his way to Jerusalem, he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain town, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood afar off; 12 Y entrando en una aldea, viniéronle al encuentro diez hombres leprosos, los cuales se pararon de lejos,
12 As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.
13 And lifted up their voice, saying: Jesus, master, have mercy on us. 13 Y alzaron la voz, diciendo: Jesús, Maestro, ten misericordia de nosotros.
13 They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 Whom when he saw, he said: Go, shew yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were made clean.
14 When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was made clean, went back, with a loud voice glorifying God. 15 Entonces uno de ellos, como se vió que estaba limpio, volvió, glorificando á Dios á gran voz;
15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
16 And he fell on his face before his feet, giving thanks: and this was a Samaritan.
16 He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering, said, Were not ten made clean? and where are the nine?
17 Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
18 There is no one found to return and give glory to God, but this stranger. 18 ¿No hubo quien volviese y diese gloria á Dios sino este extranjero?
18 Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”
19 And he said to him: Arise, go thy way; for thy faith hath made thee whole. 19 Y díjole: Levántate, vete; tu fe te ha salvado.
19 Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”
20 And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come? he answered them, and said: The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 20 Y preguntado por los Fariseos, cuándo había de venir el reino de Dios, les respondió y dijo: El reino de Dios no vendrá con advertencia;
20 Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation;
21 Neither shall they say: Behold here, or behold there. For lo, the kingdom of God is within you.
21 neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
22 And he said to his disciples: The days will come, when you shall desire to see one day of the Son of man; and you shall not see it. 22 Y dijo á sus discípulos: Tiempo vendrá, cuando desearéis ver uno de los días del Hijo del hombre, y no lo veréis.
22 He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
23 And they will say to you: See here, and see there. Go ye not after, nor follow them: 23 Y os dirán: Helo aquí, ó helo allí. No vayáis, ni sigáis.
23 They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away or follow after them,
24 For as the lightening that lighteneth from under heaven, shineth unto the parts that are under heaven, so shall the Son of man be in his day.
24 for as the lightning, when it flashes out of one part under the sky, shines to another part under the sky, so will the Son of Man be in his day.
25 But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
25 But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26 And as it came to pass in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
26 As it was in the days of Noah, even so it will also be in the days of the Son of Man.
27 They did eat and drink, they married wives, and were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all.
27 They ate, they drank, they married, and they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise as it came to pass, in the days of Lot: they did eat and drink, they bought and sold, they planted and built. 28 Asimismo también como fué en los días de Lot; comían, bebían, compraban, vendían, plantaban, edificaban;
28 Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 And in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
29 but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.
30 It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
31 In that hour, he that shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and he that shall be in the field, in like manner, let him not return back.
31 In that day, he who will be on the housetop and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
32 Acordaos de la mujer de Lot.
32 Remember Lot’s wife!
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose it, shall preserve it. 33 Cualquiera que procurare salvar su vida, la perderá; y cualquiera que la perdiere, la salvará.
33 Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
34 I say to you: in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. One will be taken and the other will be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together: the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left: two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be keft.
35 There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken and the other will be left.”
36 They answering, say to him: Where, Lord?

37 Who said to them: Wheresoever the body shall be, thither will the eagles also be gathered together.
37 They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there the vultures will also be gathered together.”
